Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Netherworld, Elayne’s Moving Domain, Heart of the Demonic Tree Religious Order.

Elayne slowly opened her eyes as a powerful surge of nether and ghostly energies swirled around her undead body. Bizarre dark plants and glowing mushrooms sprouted across her form and even within her, their roots gently intertwining with her flesh.

Communing with these plants by linking to their lifeforce and souls had always been an arduous task. Yet over the past two months and one week, she had spent nearly every waking moment in deep meditation, steadily developing her abilities until she finally reached a significant threshold.

Ever since leaving White Tooth City and setting off toward her next destination, Elayne had grown stronger with each passing day. She diligently cultivated her methods, leveled up her skills, refined her Cursed Runes, and nurtured her Spirit Arts. Little by little, the zombie she once was was transforming into something far greater. Although she had not hunted much after reaching max level, she focused instead on fulfilling her rank-up conditions and mastering the new abilities granted by her class.

Spiritual Energy, Nether, Ghostly Essence, Soul Essence, and many other forces gathered around her. All of it was carefully refined by Dream Essence, which glowed and sparkled with a beautiful blend of pink and black light.

Within her heart, something began to crystallize as these two opposing energies merged. A few days earlier, Elayne had spoken with a special being — a ”fake fragment” of herself, a Heroic Spirit summoned by her daughter to protect her. This version of Elayne was born from her own legendary feats in the world and had merged with the ancient myths of Gaia from Greek mythology. Through their shared dreams and the absorption of Dream Essence, they had exchanged memories and learned from each other’s lives.

In that conversation, Elayne had given her a heartfelt task: to protect her daughter and, one day, reunite with her friends in the Netherworld. No matter the obstacles, she would escape this realm and bring everyone back together so they could return to the lives they once knew.

For that dream to become reality, she needed to keep growing stronger. She had to protect her community, deepen her bond with the strange nature of the Netherworld, and gain enough power to resist the oppression faced by the undead. Powerful Noble Races dominated this world, and the ever-advancing Army of the Demon King of Death continued its conquest, slowed only by the ancient powerhouses scattered across the vast and historic lands.

After defeating the army sent against her in White Tooth City and recruiting the powerful Blank into her ranks, Elayne had quickly moved on. She struck a beneficial deal with the city’s merchants, trading food and supplies for the resources her people needed to survive and grow. Since then, her cult had traveled continuously underground through their moving Domain. The Demon King’s forces pursued them relentlessly, but their constant movement prevented the enemy from pinning them down.

”It’s almost... there!”

FLAAASH!

A brilliant explosion of Dream Energy erupted from her chest. Something new and extraordinary emerged — a crystallization of pure dreams and nightmares. Elayne had finally begun to embrace both her light and darker sides. Using the method the Heroic Spirit had taught her, the Dual Dream Nightmare Heart was born.

”I can feel it...” she whispered with quiet awe. ”I can now produce Dream Essence myself. And Nightmare Essence too! With this, I will be able to refine my cultivation methods even further.”

She had already discovered how perfectly these unique energies complemented her cultivation techniques, allowing her to improve and advance them at a rapid pace.

Unlike her previous experiences, this new Dream Heart merged directly with her soul, spreading roots throughout her being. It became both a Soul Trait and a Soul Treasure.

”Incredible...” Elayne breathed, her voice filled with deep satisfaction. ”After accumulating so much energy, my cultivation has skyrocketed in a single moment.”

She felt her aura surge powerfully as Soul Power, Nether, and Spiritual Energy danced around her. With just a thought, she forged a solid aura of azure and green energy that manifested into the shape of a giant fist.

”This should greatly enhance my fighting abilities,” she said with a nod. ”Especially when combined with my other skills and magic.”

Elayne felt truly grateful for her hard work. This new skill would give her a much better chance against stronger opponents. After what she had done to that trio of Undead Generals, she was confident no one would underestimate her again by trying to devour her.

”Now, let’s quickly master some techniques with all this rich essence.”

With the power of her new heart, she swiftly completed several methods she had been working on for a long time. Her bones, flesh, skin, and soul trembled as they were rapidly reinforced. Her appearance grew more lifelike despite still being undead. While some traces of decay remained, most of the imperfections in her rotting body had vanished.

Until...

RUMBLE!

The entire building where she had been cultivating trembled violently. Her aura surged outward like a colossal ghostly tree, spreading its majestic presence across the Domain. Everyone inside gasped in awe as they felt their Cult Leader’s power grow even stronger.
