Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Things ended moving from one thing to another, but it came to me making a really dumb decision that I’m sure I’ll come to regret eventually! And that is actually going to Avalon the Realm of Fairies and Spirits from Earth, visit the King of Fairies Oberon, and ask him PERSONALLY to let me keep Katherine for longer.

It’s insane! What makes them think he’ll actually agree even if he was infatuated by me a little bit?! I bet he’ll ask for some sort of annoying, hard trial, and then it’ll all devolve into an intense battle against some sort of hidden enemy trying to sneak into Avalon in an epic city-wide battle where everything is destroyed.

…

I guess the Luminous Kingdom’s last battle really left me traumatized. And seriously I’m tired of fights! I don’t want to fight if possible! And I don’t want to flirt with another man either! I’ll just ask him to do it and tell him some good reasons why Katherine should be free to do as she pleases.

Yeah! No fights, just a nice trip there. It can’t be too long either, right?!

Wait how do I even go there?

“Okay so we’re really doing this?” Katherine looked really happy. “I’m so happy you would go to such lengths for me master! I love you!” She kissed my forehead. “Mooch! I’ll stay with you forever as your servant!”

“Y-You don’t need to be my servant little Katherine; we can be just friends, and you live in my garden… like roommates?” I wondered.

“Hahah, you’re so nice at joking!” she giggled.

“I’m not joking… I see you more as an equal, or perhaps someone to protect, rather than a servant,” I said. “Maybe it just my motherly instincts kicking in… Whatever the case, how do we even… how do we even go to Avalon? I am fairly sure I got a Dream Gate, but not an “Avalon Gate”.”

“Oh yeah, there’s no direct gate to Avalon, they’re incredibly rare and not many can ever find them,” said Katherine. “We inhabitants of Avalon can naturally return once our time here ends though, we can also break the contract or cancel it and return immediately too. But yeah, it’s not easy to open a Gate, and I have no such power either…”

“Eh?! Then the whole plan is ruined! Dammit…” Gardenia gave up very quickly.

“However…” Katherine suddenly said. “There is a way to go… through the Dream Realm.”

“R-Really?” I wondered.

“Yes, the Dream Realm is connected to all other Realms,” nodded Katherine. “Dreams are shared by all living beings. People in Avalon, like people in the mortal plane, also dream when they sleep. So through such a thing, the Dream Realm is connected to Avalon.”

“Do you know how to get there through it?” I wondered.

“Ah, well, we would have to find a Gate first,” she explained. “But… Hmm, well! I am from Avalon, and if I sleep there, I could probably create a bridge? It would be worth giving it a try.”

“Are you sure this is going to work and not end up terribly?” The Great Spirit asked. “We’re tired of those happening all the time.”

“I am not quite sure myself…” She said. “But technically going to the Dream Realm directly with your physical bodies and having a gate here is already rarer than a gate to Avalon, so I think the Dream Realm Rulers must be quite fond of Master somewhat. I have no idea why though.”

“Hmm… Might be because of my Dream Powers and Magic?” I wondered. “I have also refined a lot of Dream Elemental Runes into my Magic Circle… Well, whatever the case, that’s nice. We could work that out. Might as well give it a try. Perhaps we could even try talking to the rulers of that Realm first. It has been a while since the last time we talked.”

“Y-You talked with them?” Asked Katherine in awe.

“Ah yeah, they were… Um, I think they were nice,” I said. “But we’ll see how that goes. They’re a bit eccentric, but I think that’s a given seeing the crazy Realm they govern.”

“Well said… And good point,” the Great Spirit nodded. “So I guess we’re doing this then! Are we doing it today? It still pretty early and…”

“Nah, tomorrow,” I said. “Right Katherine?”

“Yeah honestly I’m too tired. I want to eat snacks and go take a nap…” Katherine yawned. “No wait a second! Yeah, now that I am tired it would be perfect right?”

“A-Ah? But Katherine, I want to… Um, well, technically you’re not wrong…” I nodded. “However I wanted to make a forge in my Domain first, and then reforge Irene, my Shield, and perhaps everyone else’s weapons… That was today’s plan. Also checking on Julio the Stabbed and his friends, I think they’re coming today.”

“Okay then, we can wait until tomorrow,” Katherine nodded. “I’ll take a nap now~ Maybe I’ll skip sleep tonight and remain awake until next morning. Please prepare for the trip though! We still don’t know where we might get dropped over at Avalon. It could be a long trip to the King’s Castle.”

“Oh okay, sure,” I nodded. “Noted… Now, shall we go make lunch first? You can go sleep and we can call you to eat once it’s done, Katherine.”

“Thank you! I’ll be on my way then,” she nodded, flying away. “I really hope everything works! I want to stay here for as long as I can! Living so many years in Avalon has really bored me…”

“I hope so too…!” I nodded.

As she went to sleep, I quickly decided to place the totems into the domain now. Mark, Jannis, and the Great Spirit were available to help, so with their assistance, and while talking to them about my plans for tomorrow, we finished placing the totems deep in the ground.

And then, I heard the Voice of the World.
