Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Thousands of humans gathered through the city, glancing at a huge kitchen in the middle of it all working never-endingly, even when the sun was about to set completely, the smell of delicious roasted meat could be smelled all around that area of the city. Even the fairies got hungry and curious, as they saw a huge group of cooks and chefs cooking and roasting all kinds of meals.

Cooking Spirits flew everywhere, helping them constantly produce the most delicious dishes, most of them cooking on gigantic woks and pots, to prepare enough soup and food for hundreds or thousands of people at once.

The smell intensified more as the hard day full of anger, raging people, and stress came to an end. The people continued fighting somewhere, but the smell and their hunger seemed to unify them in the same desire, they wanted to have a good meal.

“Please, please! Gather around everyone! There is food for every single one of you, as much as your belly can hold!”

Chef moved around the massive kitchen of gigantic size, the woks and pots and even the utensils were all made by Hammer previously, their blacksmith.

It wasn’t just cooking, but a show where every single person was amazed, the children gathered together to see both squirrel-kin, fairies, gnomes, brownies and humans.

“Wooow!”

“Such huge things!”

“Smells so nice! What’s that?!”

“Fried rice with chicken meat! I want some!”

“Mommy, mommy! When is it ready?!”

As the children couldn’t wait any longer, Chef rapidly stepped forward, as dozens of soldiers placed several plates of food over gigantic tables, with his abilities, he threw the fried rice and chicken meat into the skies.

FLAAASH!

“W-Woah!”

“It’s going to fall!”

“Wait, what is he doing?!”

As the people panicked, Chef dexterously manipulated the food with his Aura of Cooking, Spirits of Cooking merging with it and moving the food, all of it, to each plate separately in a show of incredible magic power and technique!

“Ten thousand plates of fried rice with vegetables and Hammer Bird and Ancient Lizard meat done! Please come forward and grab your plate and spoons! There’s no need to use any fork or knife for this!”

He had smartly made things already cut into tiny chunks, so forks and knives were not needed to eat, people just could eat everything with a wooden spoon they were given.

The humans timidly stepped forward, quickly making a line without becoming an infuriated mob, the children were first, as most people were nice enough to prioritize them.

“There you go boy! Eat your fill!”

Chef winked at a brown-haired boy, who gasped as he was given such a big plate of rice with veggies and meat, it smelled so good that even if he didn’t like veggies, it didn’t matter!

“Wooow! It smells so nice! I’m so hungry mister mushroom!”

He quickly started eating while walking away, devouring everything happily, and even eating his vegetables without problems.

Children after children, they walked and sat down on the table with their parents to eat, families gathered, and even those protesting ended growing tired, walking to the several dozens of lines to receive delicious food and dishes.

The people sat down to eat, although there were some unruly ones that tried to grab food on their own, only to get dragged back by the more behaved people.

There wasn’t just rice though, but also mashed potatoes with grilled meat in tiny cubes for easy digestion, chicken soup with potatoes and carrots, noodles with tomato sauce with minced meat, and parmesan cheese on top, hot dogs, hamburgers, and more.

The humans, and even fairies, squirrel-kin, gnomes, brownies, and Myconid were pleased, eating together as they decided to throw away their differences, maybe just for this once.

“T-This is…?!”

Erebus’ eyes widened, as he glanced at the scene in front of him, the central plaza of the city was full of people enjoying and eating food over large tables, of all kinds, although mostly humans.

“They’re calm?”

He couldn’t believe how mostly everyone was finally calmer than before, eating good food together while enjoying small talk, drinking fruit juice and milk.

The food had a magical effect on their bodies, Cooking Magic made people happier and more relaxed the tastier the food was.

Chef nodded with a smile as he kept cooking and serving food with his squad of over fifty cooks by his side, of all races.

“Everyone is eating together so peacefully? How is this possible? Weren’t the humans making a huge fuss a few minutes ago?”

As he flew by the side of Chef, the Myconid smiled back at him.

“That’s the power of food, son…” He said. “It can bring people together despite all their differences. And it can soothe a person’s soul and heart. I believe that aside from trying to talk, offering delicious food is a must if you want someone to trust you. A good meal can speak a thousand words after all and truly show the kindness of your heart to someone else. Especially if it was done with love and care, and even more if it’s really delicious.”

“…” Erebus remained in silence, looking at the scene, until he noticed the Queen, Florie, and Nieve flying around nearby, it seemed the queen and the princess woke up after sleeping for over five hours. They had come to help calm down the humans, but found this scene instead, leaving them flabbergasted.

“How about you bring some meals to the ladies over there?” Chef said, giving Erebus a small wooden table with four large plates of food and a jug with fresh fruit juice. “You look hungry yourself, so go eat your fill!”

“A-Ah… Thanks…” Erebus muttered, flying near Titania and the rest, looking a bit awkward and embarrassed.

Chef nodded as the Queen, the Princess, and Nieve nodded, sitting down with Erebus and enjoying a meal while smiling and looking happy and relaxed.

“Thank you for the help, Chef…” Sporegon stepped by the side of his friend.

“This takes me back, Sporegon…” Chef smiled lightly. “Don’t you remember back then, years ago, when our Hero Luminous enjoyed a similar meal with the Continental Union before his battle against the Demon King?”

“Yeah…” Sporegon smiled lightly. “You’re right… This scene is… quite similar.”

“Now the Demon King is finally with us, slowly changing…” Chef laughed. “And I’m so happy my food is bringing everyone together… Makes me happy I became a chef.”

“Well said, my friend. Let’s go have a meal as well,” Sporegon patted his friend’s shoulders.

Sometimes what gets people together after so much sorrow, suffering, and differences aren’t just sitting down and talking, but showing each other’s sincerity through actions.

An act of kindness, perhaps a coat to cover someone from winter, medicine for the pain and to heal wounds, even a good, delicious meal.

These people are all different, they come from different backgrounds, have different cultures and pasts, but right now, they were all sitting at the same table, talking, knowing each other, and enjoying a good meal.

Perhaps they won’t change instantly, differences will always remain, some people will continue discussing and fighting back, btu over time, they will soon come to realize how little different they truly are from one another.

And that all of us are just people living in the world, trying to get by, with families, people we love, and meals we enjoy.
