Chapter 540: Chapter 185: Crisis at Flying Tiger Pass: The Five Poison Sect’s Plot and the Heroic Sakura Association’s Desperate Counterattack_5

”Divine Archer” Miao Menlong patted the strong bow beside him, his gaze resolute. In a deep voice, he said, ”No matter what schemes they have, my arrow will not show mercy. As long as they dare to come again, I’ll make sure they never return!”

”Plum Blossom Dart” Shan Zhi toyed with the plum blossom dart in his hand, a cold smile hanging on his lips, and interjected, ”My dart also isn’t here for show. Those Five Poison Sect guys, if they dare to show up, I’ll let them taste the might of my darts.”

”Water Dragon” Jin Liufu stood up, stretching his muscles, and said in a booming voice, ”In the water, I’m not afraid of them. If they come by water, I’ll drag them all under to feed the fish!”

”Round Barrel” Lu Dechu patted his round belly, chuckled, and said, ”All this meat isn’t grown in vain; when the time comes, I’ll block them and let’s see what they’ll do!”

”Bamboo Pole” Jiang Huotian, with his tall and thin frame standing straight, said in a crisp voice, ”My body is agile and they won’t catch me with their poisons. I can even take the opportunity to mess with them!”

”Centipede” Gongsun Ren, with a grim face, rasped, ”The Five Poison Sect uses poison, we can’t be defenseless. We need to find a way to get some antidote to prepare for any possibility.”

”Cyan-faced Beast” Yang Feng clenched his fist and said viciously, ”Next time they come, I’ll beat them until they’re rolling on the ground, so they know the might of our Heroic Sakura Association!”

Everyone spoke one after another, discussing fiercely and becoming increasingly animated, their words more intense.

Shi Feiyang listened quietly to everyone’s remarks. As they quieted down a bit, he slowly stood up, exuding a powerful aura that seemed to envelop the entire chamber.

He stepped forward, each step steady and forceful, as if treading on the hearts of everyone present.

He slightly opened his arms, exhibiting a stance of control over the situation. His gaze was like a torch as he scanned the crowd, his voice deep yet filled with authority, ”What all my brothers said is true. The Five Poison Sect has repeatedly violated our Flying Tiger Pass, injuring our Heroic Sakura Association brothers. This revenge must be paid; otherwise, we are not human! But we can’t act on impulse alone. From now on, as Brother Xiang suggested, immediately assign people to infiltrate the Five Poison Sect and determine their background. Elder Wu, Sister Xiao, strengthen the martial arts training of our brothers to increase fighting strength. Brother Miao, Brother Shan, perfect your archery and dart skills; when it matters, strike deadly. Brother Jin, keep a close watch on the waterway. Gongsun Brothers, prepare antidotes against poisons as soon as possible. All other brothers, fulfill your duties and be prepared. Our Heroic Sakura Association must let the Five Poison Sect know that whoever dares to violate our Flying Tiger Pass will be punished, no matter how far!”

Everyone stood up in unison and shouted, ”We heed the Grand Squad Leader’s command!”

Their voices were deafening, echoing in the chamber for a long time.

Under the heavy shadow of the autumn night, the Five Poison Sect Headquarters seemed like an eerie fortress emerging from Hell.

The towering stone walls were covered in dark green moss, which shimmered with a ghostly light under the dim moonlight.

The surrounding trees twisted their branches like sinister ghosts; the autumn wind howled past, causing the leaves to rustle, as if countless wronged spirits were whispering.

The grand gate of the headquarters remained tightly shut. The strange toxic creature patterns carved on the door seemed to claw at the darkness, sending chills down one’s spine.

Lan Xiaodie in her black robe, her face as dark as water, was the first to step into the chamber.

The candlelight flickered within, barely dispelling some of the darkness, but casting everyone’s shadows long on the walls, adding to the eerie atmosphere. Lan Xiaodie walked straight to the main seat and sat heavily, the Green Phosphorus Sword in her hand clattered loudly onto the table.

The sword’s ghostly green glow intertwined with the candlelight, reflecting the burning hatred in her eyes.

”Hmph, that surprise attack was ruined by that Shi Feiyang, how detestable!” Lan Xiaodie gritted her teeth, her voice seemed squeezed out from between them, ”When has our Five Poison Sect suffered such humiliation, if not avenged, I, Lan Xiaodie, will never be human!”

Elder Cui Technique, full of rage, stepped forward with both hands clenched into fists, knuckles turning white, and said hatefully, ”That Shi Feiyang not only thwarted our major plan but also severely injured and disabled our former Sect Leader Cui Deng. This blood debt must be repaid with his life!”

Cui Technique’s voice trembled slightly with anger, his eyes flashing with the flames of revenge.

”Indeed, we must make the Heroic Sakura Association aware of the consequences of provoking our Five Poison Sect!” Elder Cui Yan echoed, his gaze sinister like a poisonous snake in the dark night, ”This failure was merely an accident. We must devise an even more ruthless plan to leave Shi Feiyang and his Heroic Sakura Association without a burial place.”

Elder Cui Ben nodded slightly, a cold smile appearing on his face, ”In my opinion, we can poison the water sources around Flying Tiger Pass, leaving them defenseless. Once they are poisoned, launch a full-scale attack and flatten Flying Tiger Pass in one fell swoop!”

Hidden within the Five Poison Sect, the Beggar Gang Leader Zhong Renwang, with a sinister smile, stepped forward obsequiously, ”Master Lan, in my opinion, we can first send out elite troops, disguised as refugees, to infiltrate Flying Tiger Pass. When the time is right, coordinate from inside and outside for a deadly blow. Heh heh, by then, Shi Feiyang won’t be able to escape even with wings.”

As he spoke, he rubbed his hands together, his eyes shining with greed and malice.

The Beggar Gang Elder Ding Hong immediately chimed in, ”Chief Zhong’s idea is brilliant! We can secretly contact the bandits near Flying Tiger Pass, promising them great rewards to join us. In this way, Shi Feiyang will be besieged from all sides and can be killed without a doubt!”

Ding Hong’s laugh was sharp and piercing, filled with a nauseating despicability.

Wu Bi quickly nodded, his face plastered with a flattering smile, ”Yes, yes, yes, everyone is absolutely right. With the Five Poison Sect and the Beggar Gang joining forces, plus the help of the bandits, Shi Feiyang and the Heroic Sakura Association have no chance of winning!”

As he agreed, he kept an eye on Lan Xiaodie’s expression, fearing to miss any opportunity to curry favor.

Listening to everyone’s strategies, the hatred in Lan Xiaodie’s eyes grew stronger. She suddenly stood up, swinging her Green Phosphorus Sword, ”Good! We’ll do as you all said. This time, Shi Feiyang must pay a painful price for his actions, and the Heroic Sakura Association will be completely erased from Jianghu!”

Her voice resonated in the council hall, filled with determination and ruthlessness, aiming to dismember Shi Feiyang and the Heroic Sakura Association.

Afterward, Lan Xiaodie pondered for a moment, glanced at everyone, and added, ”Besides what everyone said, I have another plan. We can create a ’Soul-devouring Poison Smoke,’ which is colorless and odorless but can silently paralyze the nerves, making people fall into a coma unwittingly, at others’ mercy. We can set up mechanisms in the mountains and forests around Flying Tiger Pass and release the poison smoke when they trigger them.”

A hint of malicious light flashed in her eyes as she continued, ”Moreover, I plan to personally tame a batch of poisonous beasts and coat them with deadly poison. These beasts are not only strong and fearless of death. When attacking Flying Tiger Pass, let the poisonous beasts lead the charge and break through their defenses. By then, Shi Feiyang and his Heroic Sakura Association disciples will be defenseless against the dual assaults of the poisonous beasts and poison smoke.”

Lan Xiaodie’s voice was chilling and bone-piercing, as if it came from the Nine Nether Hell, sending shivers down spines.

Everyone stood up, clasped their fists in salute, and shouted in unison, ”We will obey the Sect Leader’s orders!”

Their voices echoed in the sinister Five Poison Sect Headquarters, heralding a more brutal storm on the horizon.

Under the Five Poison Sect’s intense preparations, Lan Xiaodie’s poisonous plan began to unfold step by step.

On a dark and windy night, they quietly infiltrated the mountains and forests around Flying Tiger Pass and placed specially made poison bags upstream of the water source.

The poison bags were made from tough snakeskin and filled with deadly poison personally concocted by Lan Xiaodie; just a little could turn the river water into lethal poison soup instantly.

Meanwhile, hidden mechanisms in the mountains and forests were in place, with the ’Soul-devouring Poison Smoke’ cleverly sealed within bamboo tubes. Once triggered, it would spread like a ghost.

The tamed poisonous beasts, exuding a nauseating aura, were kept in a valley not far from Flying Tiger Pass, ready to launch a deadly attack at any time. The next morning, the people of Flying Tiger Pass went to the river to fetch water as usual, unaware that danger had already arrived.

As the water buckets dipped into the river, the poison spread instantly, and in an instant, the river water turned murky, exuding a pungent stench.

The first people to draw water had just sipped a mouthful when they covered their throats, fell to the ground convulsing in pain, foaming at the mouth, eyes wide with fear and despair. The news quickly spread throughout Flying Tiger Pass, plunging the people into immense panic, the streets in chaos.

The disciples of the Heroic Sakura Association quickly launched a rescue operation upon hearing the news.

However, at this moment, the Five Poison Sect’s ’Soul-devouring Poison Smoke’ was also quietly unleashed.

The poison smoke, like wisps of mist, spread through the mountains and forests, drifting towards Flying Tiger Pass on the breeze.
