Lust System: Conquering the World Beauties

Chapter 431: Chapter 431 Declaration Of War

Irina stood alone on the wide balcony of her mansion, one hand resting on the stone railing as she looked down at the long private road leading to the gates. The night air was cool but she barely felt it. She had been standing there for almost thirty minutes already, watching the same empty stretch of road, her patience thinning by the second.

Her phone was still in her hand. The last message she sent glowed faintly on the screen.

He is awake.

No reply.

She exhaled slowly through her nose, irritation crawling up her spine. Liam had better have a good reason.

Headlights finally appeared at the far end of the road. A taxi rolled in smoothly and came to a stop beneath the balcony. Irina straightened without realizing it, her sharp eyes narrowing as the door opened.

A tall young man stepped out first.

He was dressed completely in black, clean and sharp, the fabric fitting him effortlessly. A black eyeglass rested on his face, hiding his eyes, giving him an air of calm arrogance. Even from a distance there was no mistaking him. The way he stood, relaxed yet alert, like nothing around him posed a threat.

Of course it was Liam.

Irina opened her mouth, already prepared to snap, when the other side of the taxi opened.

A woman stepped out and for a brief second Irina forgot what she was about to say.

Lana stood beside Liam, just as striking in her own way. Her beauty was softer, warmer, but no less powerful. She stayed close to him as they walked forward together, their steps naturally in sync. Anyone watching could tell they belonged together without needing an explanation.

Irina felt her irritation ease slightly at the sight of Lana. Slightly.

By the time they reached the stairs leading up to the balcony, Irina’s expression hardened again as her eyes returned to Liam.

”Where have you been,” she said flatly.

Liam stopped at the base of the stairs and lifted his hand, sliding his eyeglass off with an easy smile. ”Good to see you too.”

Irina did not return the smile. ”I texted you thirty minutes ago. He is awake.”

”I know,” Liam replied calmly. ”Sorry for the delay. I had to attend to some pressing matters.”

Irina stared at him for a long moment, clearly unconvinced. Then she shook her head and turned, already heading back inside. ”Unbelievable.”

Liam followed without argument, passing her and stepping into the mansion as if he owned the place.

Irina paused only long enough to glance back at Lana, then moved closer to her, lowering her voice. ”You really need to learn how to say no to that asshole,” she said bluntly. ”Is he taking advantage of you.”

Lana’s eyes widened slightly. She shook her head quickly. ”No.”

Irina raised a brow, waiting.

Lana hesitated, then spoke quietly. ”How do I say no when I want him every time too.”

Her cheeks flushed instantly and she looked away, clearly embarrassed by her own honesty.

Irina stared at her for a second, then let out a short laugh and shook her head. ”You are helpless.”

She placed a gentle hand on Lana’s arm and guided her inside. ”Come on.”

The warmth of the mansion wrapped around them as they entered. Soft lights illuminated the massive interior, the polished floors reflecting movement from every direction.

Liam felt it the moment he stepped further in.

Eyes.

So many eyes.

They were everywhere. Men leaning against walls. Women gathered near the stairs. Elders seated farther back, watching silently with sharp, assessing gazes. The air buzzed with low voices and barely contained judgment.

They did not bother hiding it.

”Is that him.”

”That is Liam.”

”So this is the one Irina brought.”

”He looks like a movie star, not a warrior.”

The murmurs grew louder as Liam walked forward, hands relaxed at his sides, posture calm. He could hear everything clearly.

”He is handsome, I will give him that.”

”Handsome does not mean strong.”

”I could drop him without lifting a finger.”

”Are you serious. That is the guy everyone has been talking about.”

The men scoffed openly, eyes sweeping over him with disdain. To them he looked too clean, too polished, too composed. Not wild enough. Not brutal enough.

The women were no quieter, though their reactions were very different.

”He is beautiful.”

”Look at his shoulders.”

”Those eyes must be dangerous under the glass.”

”Irina really brought him here.”

Yet even their interest carried a layer of dismissal. Desire mixed with doubt. Curiosity laced with judgment.

They had heard stories about Liam. Rumors of strength. Whispers of impossible fights. Tales of power that did not make sense.

But standing in front of them now was a young man who looked more like he belonged on a screen than on a battlefield.

Liam could feel it all. The disbelief. The contempt. The underestimation.

He did not react.

He did not slow down.

He did not acknowledge a single voice.

Irina watched him from a distance, her expression unreadable. She knew her pack well. She knew exactly what they were thinking. They wanted a monster. They wanted someone loud and violent and scarred.

They did not understand that the most dangerous people rarely looked the part.

Lana stayed close to Irina, sensing the tension, her eyes moving across the crowd uneasily. She could feel the weight of their stares, especially the way some of the women looked at Liam.

Inside the mansion, the murmurs continued, growing bolder.

”He does not look like he belongs here.”

”He is too young.”

”He is too pretty.”

”He will break.”

None of them noticed the faint smile that curved at the corner of Liam’s mouth as he walked deeper into the house.

Irina finally reached the center of the hall.

She stopped walking and turned slowly, her presence alone enough to draw attention even before she spoke. The murmurs around Liam faded bit by bit, until only low breaths and the sound of movement remained.

She lifted her hand slightly and spoke in a calm voice.

”Attention.”

The effect was instant.

Every conversation died. Even the elders seated along the far side of the hall fell silent. Dozens of eyes turned toward her, not with fear, but with respect. This was not forced authority. This was earned.

Irina looked around, making sure she had everyone’s attention before she continued.

”The past few days,” she said, her voice steady and controlled, ”I know everyone has been tense. We all feel it. The air is wrong. The city is wrong. The vampires are moving again.”

A few jaws tightened. A few fists clenched.

”We know their curse is finally over,” Irina continued. ”But they are not running rampant yet.”

Liam stood behind her, listening carefully. His brows knit together slightly.

What do you mean they are not running rampant, he thought. With everything they have done in this city. With the death count already climbing into the hundreds.

He did not say it out loud. His voice stayed inside his head, low and sharp.

He glanced around instead.

No one reacted.

No shock. No disbelief.

Every pack member present looked serious, almost grim, like they already knew.

That told him everything.

They know this is not the real beginning yet.

Irina took a few slow steps forward as she spoke again.

”Something is holding them back,” she said. ”Or they are afraid of something. That is the only reason they are not out in full force yet.”

The hall felt heavier with every word.

”So we take advantage of it,” she continued. ”Whatever is slowing them down, whatever is keeping them cautious, we strike now.”

Her eyes hardened.

”I want everyone to form groups. Small packs only. No one goes alone.”

She paused, letting that sink in.

”Any stray vampire you see, kill them. No hesitation.”

A few nods rippled through the room.

”If you find a hideout,” Irina said, her voice colder now, ”alert the rest. Clear it out together. Kill everything inside. No mercy.”

The words landed like stone.

Liam looked around the hall, his attention sharp. He had expected this to be an update. An explanation. Maybe even a formal introduction for him joining them.

Instead, Irina had just declared war.

He waited for the reaction.

For raised voices. For fists in the air. For howls of approval.

None came.

The pack did not cheer.

They did not shout.

They simply turned and began to move.

Groups formed naturally, without argument or chaos. Warriors spoke quietly to each other. Elders rose from their seats with slow, deliberate movements. Orders were already understood.

Within minutes, the hall began to empty.

That unsettled Liam more than noise would have.

This was not excitement.

This was preparation.

When the room finally cleared, only a few people remained.

Irina stood in the center. Lana stayed near her side. Two young men remained as well, both standing straight, calm, alert. A woman lingered nearby, someone who looked slightly out of place compared to the rest, her posture cautious, her eyes observant.

Liam stepped closer as Irina turned to face him.

”These two,” Irina said, gesturing to the men, ”are my assistants.”

She pointed to the first one. He was tall, broad shouldered, with short dark hair and eyes that missed nothing.

”This is Mikhail.”

Then the second. Slightly leaner, but no less dangerous, his expression sharp and unreadable.

”And this is Sergei.”

Liam nodded to both of them, respectful. If Irina introduced them personally, they were not ordinary warriors. These were the next in line after the alpha. The kind of men who carried authority without needing to speak.

Neither of them nodded back.

They did not even look at him properly.

Their gazes slid past him like he was not there.

Lana noticed immediately.

Her brows lifted slightly as she glanced between them and Liam. The dismissal was obvious. Deliberate.

One of them, Mikhail, let his eyes drift instead.

Not toward Liam.

Toward her.

His stare lingered longer than necessary, slow and unapologetic. Not admiration. Not curiosity.

Possession.

Lana shifted uncomfortably, her body angling slightly away from him without thinking.

Liam felt it instantly.

The change in her posture. The tension.

He did not look at Mikhail yet. He stayed still, expression neutral, but something cold settled behind his eyes.

Irina caught the exchange too.

Her jaw tightened almost imperceptibly, though she said nothing.

Sergei crossed his arms, his attention elsewhere, as if this entire introduction bored him.

The woman nearby shifted her weight, clearly aware of the tension but choosing not to step in.

The silence stretched.

Liam finally spoke, his voice calm, controlled.

”Nice to meet you,” he said.
