Lust System: Conquering the World Beauties

Chapter 405: Chapter 405 Leonid’s Last Fight

Leonid tried to stand up, fingers clawing at the dented van beside him. His back screamed the moment he moved. A sharp, burning pain shot through his spine and he almost collapsed again.

”Arghhh,” he groaned. His voice cracked. His ribs shook.

He forced his head up, even though everything in his body told him to stay down. The vampire was still walking toward him. Slowly. Calmly. As if he had all the time in the world. As if Leonid was already dead and this was just entertainment.

The vampire’s boots echoed in the alley.

Step.

Step.

Step.

Every step sounded louder than the last.

Leonid tried again to stand but his legs wouldn’t hold him. His palms slipped on the cold ground. Sweat stung his eyes. The pain spread from his spine to his chest, crawling through every nerve.

He felt small. Weak. Breakable.

The vampire finally reached him.

He leaned down and grabbed Leonid by the front of his jacket. One pull. Just one. And Leonid’s feet left the ground. His legs dangled in the air as the vampire held him up effortlessly, like he weighed nothing.

”Put... put me down,” Leonid gasped.

The vampire smiled, showing teeth stained with old blood.

Leonid panicked. He hit the vampire’s chest with his fist over and over, but it did nothing. It felt like hitting a wall.

”Let me go, you blood sucking animal!” Leonid shouted. His voice cracked from fear and anger.

The vampire laughed. A deep, twisted laugh that echoed around the alley.

”Ahahahaha! I like you,” he said. His eyes glowed brighter as he opened his mouth. His fangs grew longer and sharper, pushing down past his lips.

Leonid felt his heart stop. Even breathing became hard.

Then it happened.

Splash.

Blood burst out of Leonid’s neck the moment the vampire sank his fangs into him. The pain was a white, blinding shock. It felt like fire ripping through his throat. His arms shook so hard he couldn’t keep them up.

He gasped, but no air came out. He tried to scream but only a weak sound escaped.

His skin turned cold fast. Too fast.

The vampire drank greedily, pulling blood out of him in strong, vicious draws. Leonid felt lighter every second. Almost hollow. His fingers trembled as he reached for the monster’s shoulders, trying to push him off, but his strength was fading too fast.

His vision blurred. The alley spun.

He felt his heartbeat slowing. Thump. Thump... thump... thinner... weaker...

The pain started to fade, replaced by a strange numbness that crawled through his limbs.

Leonid knew he was dying.

Then he heard it.

Awooooo.

The long, deep howl of a wolf echoing far away.

A real wolf. Loud. Sharp. Wild.

The vampire froze. His body tensed. His eyes flashed with something Leonid had not expected.

Fear.

The vampire pulled his fangs out immediately and turned his head halfway, listening.

Leonid’s mind grabbed onto the moment. Even if he died tonight, he refused to go out quietly. He refused to be just another drained corpse thrown into an alley.

If this thing was going to kill him then he would leave something behind. Anything.

He tightened his jaw. Blood filled his mouth. He didn’t care.

He leaned forward.

Chomp.

Leonid bit into the vampire’s neck with everything he had left. Hard. Desperate. Angry. He tore into the flesh, ripping skin and tasting blood that was hot and bitter.

The vampire jerked, surprised. His eyes widened slightly. Not pain. Just shock. Like he didn’t expect prey to fight back.

Leonid held on for as long as his jaw allowed, tearing more before his strength finally gave out.

He fell back, coughing blood. His teeth dripped red. But he was smiling.

A weak, broken smile. But a real one.

”Rot in hell,” he whispered.

The vampire’s surprise faded. His smile died. His face twisted into anger, sharp and cold.

”You little piece of shit,” he growled.

He grabbed Leonid by the collar again and swung him with pure rage.

”Fuck off.”

Bang.

Leonid’s body hit the brick wall so hard the sound shook through the alley. His neck twisted the moment he made contact. Not a small twist. A brutal, final one that snapped the life out of him instantly.

His body crumbled to the ground in a limp heap.

His eyes remained open.

They were wide, frozen in the last moment of shock. Blood streaked down from the corner of his mouth. His face was locked in a mixture of pain and that final stubborn smile. His limbs lay twisted at angles no human body should be in. His head leaned against the wall, tilted far to the side in a way that made it clear he was far beyond saving.

The life that had been in his eyes just minutes ago was gone, replaced by an empty, glassy stare that didn’t blink or move.

The vampire spun around the second he threw Leonid aside. His boots scraped across the cracked pavement as he regained his footing, fangs bared, eyes glowing with that cold red shine.

Something stood behind him.

Something tall. Massive. Breathing hard.

A werewolf.

The creature held a severed head in one of its huge claws. Blood dripped from the stump in slow, thick strings, landing on the floor with wet splats. The werewolf’s fur was dark and matted, and the blood on its jaw wasn’t dry yet. Its yellow eyes locked onto the vampire with an expression that wasn’t just hunger. It was recognition. It was satisfaction.

The vampire froze for half a heartbeat. Not out of fear. Out of shock.

He knew that face. The head dangling in the werewolf’s grip belonged to one of his companions. A scout. A tracker. Someone who should not have died this easily.

The werewolf dropped the head.

It rolled twice, leaving a red smear behind it, then stopped with the dead man’s eyes staring upward.

Before the vampire could even blink, the werewolf leapt into the air, claws out, jaws open in a vicious snarl that rumbled like thunder.

The vampire shifted, body snapping sideways with supernatural speed. The claws ripped through nothing but air, but the force of the swing alone cracked a nearby pillar.

The werewolf landed, spun, and charged again.

The vampire met him this time. Their bodies slammed together with a hard, bone-jarring impact. The vampire dug his heels into the ground and held his ground for a second, then shoved hard and forced space between them.

The werewolf didn’t wait. It came again.

The vampire ducked under the arm swipe and struck upward, fists moving like steel pistons. He hammered two blows into the creature’s ribs. The impact made a dull thump, but the werewolf barely reacted. Its thick hide absorbed most of it.

The vampire hissed in frustration and jumped back as the werewolf swung again.

Claws cut the air just inches from his face.

He moved fast, faster than any human could follow. He was a blur in the dim light, weaving left, gliding right, always one step ahead of the devastating strikes coming from the beast. He circled around the werewolf, trying to open angles, looking for soft spots, trying to wear it down.

But the werewolf didn’t fight like a mindless animal.

It tracked him, matched his pace, cut him off from openings, and forced him into close quarters again.

The vampire lunged forward, trying to slash at its throat. The werewolf caught his wrist mid-strike. Its grip tightened with brutal strength. Bones popped. The vampire growled in pain and tried to twist free, but the creature yanked him forward and headbutted him.

The impact was loud.

The vampire staggered back, vision flickering for a moment. Blood ran from a cut on his forehead.

The werewolf stepped in with heavy, thudding movements that shook dust from the walls. The creature moved like a predator that knew it had the upper hand.

The vampire wiped the blood from his brow, crouched low, and hissed.

He sprinted forward, moving in a zigzag pattern, too fast for regular eyes to follow. The werewolf swiped, missed, swiped again, missed by inches. The vampire slid underneath the creature’s final swing, spun behind it, and drove a sharp kick into the back of its knee.

The werewolf stumbled.

The vampire jumped onto its back and drove his fingers toward its eyes. The werewolf jerked its head violently, grabbed the vampire by the shoulder, and hurled him over its body like he weighed nothing.

The vampire smashed into a concrete barrier and coughed out a mouthful of blood.

He got up slow but steady.

The werewolf charged again

The vampire didn’t retreat this time. He ran toward the beast, both moving fast, both refusing to yield. Their clash shook the air. The vampire dodged one claw swipe, then another, then countered with a burst of punches to the werewolf’s jaw.

The creature snarled, more annoyed than hurt.

It swung low.

The vampire jumped.

But the werewolf anticipated it.

Midair, the vampire realized the mistake too late.

The werewolf grabbed him by the leg and slammed him into the ground hard enough to crack the floor. The vampire gasped, air forced out of his lungs. He tried to roll away, but the werewolf stomped down, and its claws punched deep into the concrete where his head had been.
