In the Apocalypse, After Hoarding Supplies, They Teamed Up with a Powerful Figure and Went on a Killing Spree

121: Chapter 121 Iron Egg No. 1Waves of zombies with disgusting drool flowing from their mouths were like leeks that could never be fully harvested; as one batch fell, another surged forward.

Qi Yin felt the changes in the Supernatural Ability within her body and estimated that she had accumulated enough.

She swung her blade, splitting open the heads of a row of zombies. Foul-smelling liquid splashed onto her, but she didn’t have time to wipe it off. From the corner of her eye, she glimpsed the Arrogant King on the rooftop, his hands seemingly making strange gestures.

This feeling was very similar to the energy fluctuation that had flashed when Xiao Sinian groaned just now.

In other words, it wasn’t her imagination earlier; this bastard was launching a sneak attack from behind. She just didn’t know how his dirty trick had been neutralized.

Or rather... someone had blocked it for him.

She instinctively glanced at Xiao Sinian’s sharp back beside her; he didn’t seem to be showing any abnormalities.

This Arrogant King was going too far. Not only was he playing tricks, but he also dared to strike from the shadows.

To catch the bandits, one must first catch their leader. To be safe, she had to take care of this bastard first.

However, the zombie siege was fierce right now. If she left to deal with the Arrogant King, Lu Yanxiu and Qian Dong were injured, so all the pressure would fall on Xiao Sinian and Mu Feng. It was too dangerous.

Without knowing the Arrogant King’s background, Xiao Bai naturally couldn’t be exposed.

What should she use?

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration hit Qi Yin. She remembered the round, half-person-high, incredibly heavy iron lump that Jiang Yao had mysteriously shoved at her before.

Codenamed ”iron egg no. 1,” it was simple to start, just a bit noisy. It might be able to hold the line at a critical moment.

She hadn’t used it before, but now, she had to treat a dead horse as if it were alive.

Give it a try!

Qi Yin quickly took a step back. Taking advantage of the brief gap Xiao Sinian created, she turned around and took the dark iron ball out of her space, thumping it onto the ground.

Lu Yanxiu’s pale face looked a bit better after drinking the spiritual spring water. ”Isn’t this that little gadget Jiang Yao was tinkering with?”

Qi Yin didn’t have time to pay him any mind. Following her memory, her fingers quickly fumbled across the smooth top of the iron lump. Sure enough, she found a small protruding point and pressed down hard.

”Beep!”

A long electronic tone sounded.

The entire iron lump emitted a dazzling golden light, looking very high-tech.

”Authorized user Qi Yin detected. Guardian Mode is about to be activated.”

A slightly static-filled synthesized electronic voice suddenly rang out from within.

Then, amidst a dizzying series of metallic clicks and grinding sounds, the half-person-high iron ball seemed to suddenly come to life. Its shell unfolded layer by layer, shifting positions and recombining.

In just two or three seconds, it transformed into a black and silver humanoid mecha about three meters tall, with sharp mechanical lines and an industrial aesthetic, just like a Transformers from a movie.

Especially the head—the blue light flickering from the optical sensors struck a chord in Qi Yin’s heart.

”Holy crap, Jiang Yao is good,” she couldn’t help but praise.

”My... God!” Qian Dong’s leg was injured, but his hands could still move. He punched a zombie away and caught a glimpse of this Transformer-like scene; his mouth hung wide open, looking like it could fit an egg.

Even the expressionless Mu Feng paused in his movements.

The mecha’s transformation was complete. Its blue-flickering eyes swept over the small figure of Qi Yin on the ground, and it emitted a mechanical electronic voice.

”Master, please issue instructions.”

Qi Yin snapped out of her shock.

She hadn’t expected that what Jiang Yao called ”just tinkering around” would be so impressive. Interesting.

Now was not the time for celebration. She suppressed her joy and pointed at the surging crowd of zombies and mutant plants.

”iron egg, clear out all the zombies.”

”Instruction confirming... Confirmation complete. Eliminating threats!”

”iron egg no. 1” gave a cold response. Its massive body looked cumbersome, but it was exceptionally agile.

It spun around suddenly, its steel fists carrying a terrifying vortex of wind as it smashed directly into the nearest row of three agile zombies.

”Bang!”

With a loud thud, the three zombies that were nearly Second-level were hit as if by a heavy truck. Their chests caved in instantly, and they were sent flying, knocking back several others behind them.

While Lu Yanxiu dragged Qian Dong onto the roof of the car, staring in shock, ”iron egg no. 1” took heavy strides and charged into the zombie horde. Every punch and kick was simple and crude, but the power was terrifying. These zombies, nearly Third-level, couldn’t take a single hit and crumbled upon contact.

Occasionally, ”iron egg no. 1” would raise its arm, an armor hatch would open, and a scorching red laser beam would shoot out, incinerating groups of zombies completely.

Lu Yanxiu, Qian Dong: ...Impressive, just like Ultraman.

It had to be said that ”iron egg no. 1’s” massive body and hard armor provided a huge advantage. Unlike humans, it wasn’t afraid of zombie scratches or bites; instead, it could shock any lunging zombies several meters away.

With its addition, Qi Yin gained a fierce reinforcement, and the battle situation turned instantly.

She felt greatly relieved. ”Great.”

Glancing at the Black-Robed Person, whose steps seemed a bit unsteady, Qi Yin’s eyes turned cold and sharp.

Now, it’s your turn.

Her gaze locked onto the Arrogant King on the rooftop. She exerted force through her feet, treading over the ruins. Her slender figure made a few light leaps, jumping directly onto the roof of the three-story building and landing steadily in front of the Black-Robed Person.

”Hey, you rat who only knows how to hide up here, blowing whistles and playing dirty tricks.”

Her Tang blade hung down, and the corners of her mouth curled into an extremely cold arc.

”Your little soldiers are about to be torn apart by my iron egg. Now, it’s your turn.”

The Black-Robed Person’s bloodshot eyes flickered as he looked at the situation below. The sparse crowd of zombies had already been mostly handled by the group, and now with this big fellow called iron egg, they were clearly losing ground.

Damn it, how did these two annoying pests have so many random weapons in their hands?

The look behind the mask changed, tinged with anger. He suddenly raised his right hand, and black mist began to gather in his palm.

As this energy reappeared, Qi Yin narrowed her eyes, attempting to use her Spiritual power to sense exactly what kind of Supernatural Ability this was.

But unfortunately, she still couldn’t sense it.

She would have to go back and ask Xiao Yu and Xiao Bai to see if they had any clues.

Just as the Arrogant King was about to make a move, a figure appeared silently behind him. A cold blade, crackling with faint electricity, pressed against his back.

It was Xiao Sinian!

The Arrogant King looked up, meeting Qi Yin’s half-smiling face.

Annoying pests, you’ve planned this together, haven’t you?

Attacked from both front and back, his movements stiffened for a moment.

Even with his life in someone else’s hands, he didn’t seem panicked.

He glanced at the iron egg mecha and Mu Feng’s group fighting below and shook his head.

What a pity. So many warriors won’t be walking out of here today.

The Arrogant King let out an ambiguous low chuckle, his raspy voice carrying a hint of regret.

”It seems... I underestimated you. I hope you like my gift.” He glanced at Xiao Sinian with a subtle look in his eyes.

Then, his gaze returned to Qi Yin’s face.

”We... shall meet again.”

Before his voice faded, his body suddenly turned into a thick cloud of black smoke, slowly dissipating into the air.

Qi Yin’s expression shifted. She quickly condensed an Ice Cone and lunged it into the black smoke. A squelching sound was heard.

She didn’t know if she had hit him, but the black smoke vanished without a trace, leaving behind a damp, gloomy aura.

On the rooftop, only Qi Yin and Xiao Sinian remained, standing with their blades...
