In the Apocalypse, After Hoarding Supplies, They Teamed Up with a Powerful Figure and Went on a Killing Spree

79: Chapter 79 An Encounter at the Oil Storage FacilityJiang Yao stayed behind with twenty subordinates from next door.

Before parting, he mysteriously handed a spherical iron object the size of a 26-inch suitcase to Qi Yin, insisting that she take it with her.

”What is this?”

Qi Yin weighed it in her hand and found it quite heavy; an ordinary person wouldn’t be able to lift it.

Jiang Yao and Lu Jinwen, who was beside her, covered their mouths and laughed.

”Lu Jinwen knows how to use it, you’ll find out when the time comes, but I hope you won’t need to use it.”

Qi Yin had her space, and since this thing didn’t take up much room, she casually tossed it into the space castle.

Leaving twenty first-level crystal cores purified by Wang Tianyu for him, Qi Yin adjusted her thermal suit, ensuring every zipper was pulled all the way up.

”Is everyone ready?”

The group was in high spirits. ”Ready!”

Qi Yin made a forward gesture: ”Let’s go!”

At the foot of the mountain, four fiery red snowmobiles left streaks of color in the pure white world.

”Ah! Sister, this is so awesome!”

Having killed so many zombies, Lu Jinwen had now completely adapted to life in the Apocalypse.

Right now, she was in the back seat, one hand wrapped around Qi Yin’s slender waist, while the other hand was free to hold a pistol and occasionally gift a peanut to any lone zombies they encountered on the road.

The other teammates in the back seats were being competitive, comparing the whole way who could take down the next zombie faster.

On this point, Lu Yanxiu definitely had the upper hand.

His fireballs were significantly faster than bullets.

As the strong wind blew past her goggles, a rebellious curve appeared at the corner of Qi Yin’s mouth. She twisted the throttle to the max, and the snowmobile shot toward the end of the snow line like a fire.

”The more interesting things are still ahead!”

Their destination for this trip was the school in Lin City where the first Second-level Zombie had appeared in her past life.

There, they could not only obtain more second-level crystal cores.

Combat was their fastest way to improve, bar none.

Moreover, if she remembered correctly, they would pass by a large oil storage depot on the way.

Maybe they could even do some zero-dollar shopping.

The cold wind scattered some of the volume, but because they were wearing communicators, Lu Jinwen still heard it.

”I’m so looking forward to it!”

She shouted.

The snowmobiles traveled along the national highway. With Lu Jinwen, the metal manipulator, there, all abandoned vehicles were cleared away, and those that were still usable were collected by Qi Yin into her space.

After about three hours, the large oil storage depot was visible in the distance. The tall oil storage tanks stood quietly within the fence like steel beasts.

The iron gate, which could be considered sturdy before the Apocalypse, now hung askew and open, with dried bloodstains and scattered bones on the ground.

Inside the oil storage depot, dozens of large oil tankers were still parked there; they must have just replenished the oil reserves for the station.

Qi Yin’s mouth curled upward. Now, she could achieve fuel freedom without spending a single cent!

About twenty meters from the iron gate, Qi Yin put away the snowmobile.

Her Spiritual power was deployed simultaneously, and waves of brainwaves passed through the dead-silent compound, extending into the abandoned two-story buildings that were invisible to the naked eye.

”How is it, Sister Yin? Are there any survivors inside?”

Lu Yanxiu opened his palm, on which a small fireball rested, keeping a constant watch.

Qi Yin opened her eyes and shook her head.

”No survivors found, but there are about twenty zombies in the building.”

They must not have managed to evacuate when the Apocalypse arrived.

Chen Quan checked the surroundings and discovered a dozen or so wandering zombies on the perimeter.

Judging by their clothing, they were likely tourists who had come to refuel, not staff of the oil storage depot.

He notified Qi Yin, and together with Xu Yongning and Wen Yang, they tacitly spread out, holding daggers and skillfully dealing with these guys who didn’t look very smart.

Then, without changing their expressions, they reached out two fingers and dug out the crystal cores inside.

Mu Feng hid his figure and quietly sneaked into the building Qi Yin had mentioned.

After a while, his voice came through the communicator.

”Sister Yin was right, there are twenty-two zombies in total, all of them are staff from the oil storage depot.”

With the situation confirmed, it was time to start working.

Without needing much communication, Chen Quan took his people inside to clear out the zombies with Mu Feng.

Qi Yin and the other two attempted to restore the power supply so they could pump the gasoline from the underground oil depot.

Just as they were about to start connecting the backup power cables!

”Stop! Who are you?”

A stern shout came from the distance, getting closer and closer!

Because the distance was too great, Qi Yin hadn’t detected their presence immediately.

Immediately after, seven or eight figures ran quickly from the distance, holding various weapons.

Machetes, clubs, and three old-fashioned shotguns.

What caught Qi Yin’s attention was that these people all faintly emitted fluctuations of Supernatural Ability.

Seven or eight of them, all Ability Users.

The leader was the man who had just shouted for them to stop, about thirty years old, with a crew cut, a lean build, and sharp eyes.

The others following him looked at the three of them with vigilant eyes.

Lu Yanxiu and Lu Jinwen reacted extremely quickly; they stopped the electrical connection work, each stepped to the side of Qi Yin, and chambered a round.

The atmosphere instantly became tense.

Qi Yin stepped forward, and an Ice Thorn suddenly appeared in her hand behind her back.

”Just passing by, taking some oil.”

As long as this person dared to take another step forward, her ice shards were not just for show.

Her gaze swept across the back row of the team in front of her, and Qi Yin paused slightly.

There stood a young woman, head lowered, subconsciously shrinking behind the middle-aged man beside her.

Although she was dressed in bulky clothes and her face wasn’t very clean, Qi Yin recognized who she was at a glance.

Wang Hui, her so-called sister-in-law.

Then the wary man beside her was her father, Wang Jianhua.

Heh, what a coincidence.

Qi Yin sneered inwardly, but it didn’t show on her face.

Searching high and low, only to find it without any effort.

Now, she wouldn’t even have to look for them herself.

Looking around, Qi Yin didn’t see Lu Yingman anywhere.

In all likelihood, she was probably already dead.

The leading lightning-type Ability User, Tian Zining, looked up and down at Qi Yin’s group.

Their clothing looked very thin, but they were clean and their faces were rosy, unlike them. At a glance, it was obvious they hadn’t suffered from hunger or cold.

From this perspective, the secret should be in their clothes.

And the professional guns and oil pumping equipment.

The hostility in his eyes was obvious. ”We discovered the oil here first; there has to be a first-come, first-served basis, right?”

Lu Jinwen was so angry she laughed at this remark; it was clearly they who had arrived first, okay?

”Do you have no shame? The oil storage depot doesn’t belong to anyone; we take what we need and don’t interfere with each other.”

Moreover, these people only had four vehicles and couldn’t take all the gasoline in the oil storage depot.

But Qi Yin could.

At this moment, Wang Hui’s father, Wang Jianhua, seemed to recognize Qi Yin, and a look of surprise and complexity appeared on his face.

He opened his mouth as if to call out something, but was pulled hard by the arm by Wang Hui.

Wang Jianhua could only swallow his words back, his eyes darting away.

Tian Zining clearly noticed the small interaction between the Wang father and daughter, then looked at Qi Yin, frowning slightly.

After a moment of contemplation, Tian Zining spoke again.

”Judging by your appearance, you aren’t an ordinary team. How about this: since we all have the same goal, there’s no need to fight to the death. There’s quite a lot of oil in the storage depot; we can share some with you.”

When he said this, his gaze still lingered on Wang Hui, who was shrinking to the side.

But, Qi Yin’s red lips moved.

”Oh? What if I say, no?”
