The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 368: Chapter 367: Knowing

After Wei Zixiao delivered Gu Tingyu to the ward, he said worriedly: ”Tingyu, you need to take good care of yourself during this period. After this mission is over, we should have some time to rest, especially after such an incident, the leadership will certainly want to investigate thoroughly.”

Gu Tingyu nodded with a smile and then instructed: ”Don’t tell Yiyi about this, I don’t want her to worry.”

When Yiyi checked his pulse earlier, he discreetly let her feel his uninjured hand, not revealing anything amiss, hence Yiyi didn’t notice any abnormalities.

Hearing Gu Tingyu’s words, Wei Zixiao couldn’t help but shoot him a glance and said: ”Do you think it’s possible? In this period, sis-in-law is bound to come back and see you. How do you plan to hide it from her then?”

”I have my own ways, so make sure you don’t spill the beans.”

Hearing this, Wei Zixiao said no more.

”Alright, alright, since you’ve already thought it through, I definitely won’t take the initiative to tell sis-in-law.”

However, despite Gu Tingyu’s good planning, when he saw Yiyi appear at the ward door early the next morning, he was somewhat stunned and didn’t know what to say for a moment.

”Gu Tingyu, you got injured so badly yesterday, why didn’t you say anything?”

Yiyi’s eyes were a little red, her face full of worry.

This morning after getting up, she was still worried about Gu Tingyu, so she directly called Old Mrs. Gu to ask where Gu Tingyu stayed last night, as she planned to go see him. But unexpectedly, Old Mrs. Gu didn’t know anything about Gu Tingyu’s return. Finally, it was Mr. Gu who found out about Gu Tingyu’s injury and hospitalization, so she hurried over with Old Mrs. Gu.

Old Mrs. Gu was also full of concern and directly reprimanded Gu Tingyu: ”Tingyu, why didn’t you say anything about being injured? If Yiyi hadn’t called me this morning, I wouldn’t have even known you were back.”

Hearing Old Mrs. Gu’s words, Gu Tingyu finally came to his senses. He quickly looked at Yiyi and said: ”Yiyi, I didn’t mean to deceive you. Upon arriving at the unit yesterday, my hand started hurting more and more, so I came to the hospital to get it checked.”

Yiyi, however, was not convinced.

”Your hand had surgery, how could you not feel it at the time?”

Old Mrs. Gu nodded in agreement and said: ”Yes, the hand was injured, how could there be no feeling?”

But after saying this, Old Mrs. Gu quickly took Yiyi’s hand and said: ”Yiyi, I think Tingyu didn’t want you to worry, that’s why he didn’t tell the truth. The most important thing for us now is for him to recover well; nothing else matters.”

Hearing this from Old Mrs. Gu, Yiyi said no more. She walked over to Gu Tingyu and asked him to quickly take the medicine pills she brought.

These pills were meant to nourish the body and had no side effects, so they were very beneficial to Gu Tingyu’s health.

Watching Gu Tingyu take the pills, Yiyi handed him a bottle and said: ”Take one every morning from now on.”

Gu Tingyu nodded busily: ”Okay, I definitely won’t forget.”

Originally, he wanted to keep it from Yiyi, but now that it was discovered, he naturally had to listen to Yiyi entirely.

Seeing Gu Tingyu’s positive attitude, Yiyi felt a bit relieved.

Old Mrs. Gu, noticing that the couple had moved past this issue, had a smile in her eyes, ”Tingyu, have a good talk with Yiyi. I’ll call your mother now. Your parents don’t know about this yet, do they? See what a mess you’ve made.”

Hearing this, Gu Tingyu nodded: ”Grandma, thank you.”

After Old Mrs. Gu left the ward, Gu Tingyu quickly used his uninjured hand to pull Yiyi to sit down, ”Yiyi, I worried you. If I get injured again in the future, I’ll definitely tell you.”

”There won’t be a next time.”

Yiyi quickly covered Gu Tingyu’s mouth and shot him a dissatisfied look, as if no one would talk about getting injured again.

Seeing Yiyi’s nervous look, Gu Tingyu kissed the palm of her hand, ”It was my fault for not telling you immediately this time, and it won’t happen again.”

Feeling the warmth in her palm, Yiyi’s face couldn’t help but blush, and she quickly let go of her hand.

Gu Tingyu swiftly grabbed Yiyi’s hand, kissed the back of it, and asked: ”Can you stay with me here today?”

Hearing this, Yiyi nodded and said: ”I planned to stay with you anyway, so you must recover quickly.”

”Hmm.”

Gu Tingyu nodded with a smile in his eyes.

When Old Mrs. Gu came back again, she brought breakfast. ”Tingyu, we left hurriedly with Yiyi this morning and didn’t have time for breakfast. Have you eaten?”

”No.”

Hearing this, Old Mrs. Gu directly laid out the breakfast, ”Then let’s eat together, I bought plenty.”

After the three of them finished breakfast, Yu Qiulan arrived just in time.

”Tingyu, how are you? Are you okay?”

Hearing his mother’s words, Gu Tingyu smiled slightly: ”Mom, don’t worry, I’m fine, just a minor wound.”

Compared to Xiao Gao, his injuries are indeed not severe.

Seeing her son looking lively, Yu Qiulan was at ease and then quickly turned to Yiyi and said: ”Yiyi, it’s really hard on you, coming over to take care of Tingyu so early.”

”It’s not hard.”

Yiyi smiled and shook her head.

Seeing this, Yu Qiulan continued to chat a bit with Yiyi, then turned to Old Mrs. Gu and said: ”Mom, you’ve had a hard day too. You should go back and rest early; I’ll stay here.”

Hearing this, Old Mrs. Gu said directly: ”Yiyi is here, so you can go back with me later.”

This daughter-in-law was too insensitive. Tingyu’s injury wasn’t serious; Yiyi alone was more than enough. They should avoid being the third wheel.

Yu Qiulan only realized it at this point and quickly agreed: ”Right, with Yiyi here, it’s good. I’ll send you back later.”

After sitting for a while longer, they both left together.

Gu Tingyu was quite happy to be alone with Yiyi, and they sat together chatting slowly. However, he was still thinking about Xiao Gao’s injuries, so he asked Yiyi about the medicine pills, ”Does your pharmacy still have Rongzhi Pill? I want to buy a bottle for Xiao Gao to help with his recovery.” He knew Yiyi’s factory only produced Rongzhi Pill in limited quantities, and wouldn’t produce a lot without enough medicinal ingredients.

Hearing this, Yiyi directly said: ”I still have a bottle here, you can give it to Xiao Gao.” Then she took out a small porcelain bottle and handed it to Gu Tingyu.

Taking it, Gu Tingyu smiled and said: ”Let’s settle accounts properly, otherwise if everyone with connections comes to you for free medicine, how will you do business? Consider this as a token from our team for Xiao Gao. Zixiao was just talking about buying supplements for the injured before; I think this is much better than ordinary supplements. We’ll give the Rongzhi Pill to Xiao Gao, and other herbal supplements to the rest.”
