Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

The video continued playing.

Time passed.

Tiana had grown from a newborn into a tiny child capable of sitting and crawling on her own.

The golden highlights in her black hair had become more noticeable than when she was born, while her mismatched eyes were clear and radiant, resembling a diamond and a pearl.

Cynthia sat cross-legged on the carpet with seven or eight books spread out before her—The Complete Guide to Parenting, A Comprehensive Guide to Baby Food... On top of the pile was even a book titled How to Communicate with Your Baby.

She flipped through a book with her left hand while holding a baby bottle in her right. Tiana lay across her lap, tugging playfully at her sock.

”The book says babies at this age should begin eating complementary foods,” Cynthia read with a frown. ”Cooked carrots can be mashed into a purée and fed one small spoonful at a time.”

She put down the book, her expression as serious as though she were studying an inscription from an ancient ruin.

”Hmm... Which variety of carrot should I choose?”

Tiana raised her head and noticed that her mother seemed to have entered some kind of deep contemplation again.

Finding it boring, she could only continue tugging at Cynthia’s sock.

[Diantha]: Cynthia looks even more serious reading a parenting guide than she does studying ancient texts.

[Professor Carolina]: She has loved reading ever since she was young. I never expected that habit to remain unchanged after she became a mother.

[Cynthia]: ...Grandma~

The video continued.

Cynthia put down the baby bottle, lifted Tiana, and placed her on her lap.

Tiana looked up at her and reached for the blond hair hanging over her shoulder.

”Tiana, Mommy is going to make carrot purée for you in a moment.”

Cynthia gently pried open her tiny fingers.

”You can play by yourself for a little while.”

Tiana tilted her head, then opened her mouth.

”Aah—”

Cynthia paused.

”Do you want me to feed you?”

”Aah—”

”But the book says you should start eating complementary foods.”

”Aah—!”

”All right. You can have milk one more time.”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Iris]: Tiana won with a single ”aah”! Cynthia was completely helpless against her!

[Dawn]: Even a Champion becomes completely wrapped around her daughter’s finger~

The video continued.

The telephone in the living room began ringing.

Cynthia looked at the telephone, then at Tiana in her arms, and contemplated the situation for a moment.

In the end, she chose to strap Tiana to Garchomp.

That was right.

Garchomp was wearing a baby carrier and a protective head cushion.

[VIP Chat Group]

[Ash]: Wait, wait, wait—did Champion Cynthia just strap Tiana onto Garchomp?!

[Gary]: You saw correctly. She’s making Garchomp babysit for her.

[Barry]: That’s a fine! A fine!! The Champion’s Garchomp has to look after a baby at home?! How does that make any sense?!

[Cynthia]: ...

[Diantha]: Cynthia, does your Garchomp actually know how to do this?

[Cynthia]: ...I don’t know.

[Professor Carolina]: That Garchomp has been with Cynthia since it was young. Looking after a baby should still be within its capabilities.

On the screen, Garchomp lowered its head and examined the human infant strapped to its chest before releasing a short breath through its nostrils.

Despite being attached to a pseudo-Legendary Dragon-type Pokémon, Tiana neither cried nor fussed. Instead, she reached out to grab Garchomp’s scales.

”Garchomp~”

Garchomp gently supported her back with one claw, allowing her to reach a smoother area of its body. Every movement it made was exceedingly careful.

Cynthia had already answered the telephone.

”...Oh, honey. Mm, Tiana has already eaten... Yes, all right. I’ll have Garchomp go out and buy it later...”

As she spoke, she wrote something down on a sticky note.

Tiana finally managed to touch Garchomp and began giggling happily.

Garchomp lowered its head to look at her and released an extremely restrained rumble.

”Garchomp: Being the Sinnoh Champion’s ace isn’t easy. When I get home, I become a full-time babysitter.”

”Someone give the commenter above a publishing contract immediately!!”

”Garchomp: I’ve performed distinguished service for the League! I’ve shed blood for Sinnoh! Do I get no dignity at all?!”

”Tiana smiled!! She smiled!!”

”This child already knows how to charm her mother’s Pokémon at such a young age.”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Barry]: That’s a fine! A fine! Garchomp is working as a nanny?! That’s the Sinnoh Champion’s ace Pokémon!

[Dawn]: It was so gentle while looking after Tiana! It’s completely different from how it behaves during battle!

[Piplup]: Piplup, piplup!

[Iris]: Tiana isn’t afraid of Garchomp at all. An ordinary child would have started crying after seeing such a huge Dragon-type Pokémon.

[Lance]: Dragon Force naturally possesses the quality of making Dragon-type Pokémon feel close to its wielder. This Garchomp also belongs to her mother, so after being around it every day, it’s perfectly natural that she wouldn’t be afraid.

The video continued.

”Professor Cynthia, I’ve brought the materials you requested.”

Cynthia had only just put down the telephone when someone knocked on the door.

She walked over and opened it. A researcher in a white coat stood on the porch holding a stack of documents.

Cynthia accepted the documents and had barely flipped through two pages when Tiana suddenly called out from inside the house.

”Aah—”

The researcher curiously leaned forward and glanced inside.

Then his entire body froze.

The Sinnoh Champion’s ace Pokémon—the Garchomp that had given countless challengers nightmares—currently had a baby strapped to its body and was carefully holding a bottle with one claw, cautiously placing the nipple into her mouth.

”Was there something else?” Cynthia asked, looking up.

”...No! Nothing at all!”

The researcher waved his hands repeatedly.

[Regular-Seat Chat Group]

”Researcher: I witnessed something I was never supposed to see today. I’m writing my resignation letter as soon as I get home.”

”Garchomp: Do you think I wanted you to see this?”

”Is the person above actually Garchomp itself? Hahahahaha!!”

”I took a screenshot of the researcher’s expression. It can become a reaction image: Shocked.jpg.”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Steven]: That researcher’s reaction reminds me of the time I brought Metagross to the Devon Corporation’s annual meeting. Metagross served the wine using Psychic, and none of the board members dared to drink it.

[Brawly]: Wait—you used Metagross just to serve the wine? I wouldn’t have dared to drink it either!

[Phoebe]: Serving wine with Psychic... Metagross seems rather mischievous too.

[Wallace]: It is Steven’s Pokémon, after all. It was bound to inherit at least some of his personality.

[Steven]: ???

The video continued.

After an unknown amount of time, the door opened again.

Asher walked inside carrying two bags.

He wore a finely tailored dark-gray coat with a golden brooch fastened to the collar.

”I’m home.”

Cynthia poked her head out from the kitchen.

”You’re home early today.”

”I canceled two meetings.”

Asher placed the bags on the table.

Tiana had originally been playing in her cradle. The moment she saw Asher, she reached both of her tiny hands toward him and began babbling.

”Did you miss Daddy?”

Asher lifted her into his arms.

Cynthia leaned against the kitchen doorway and watched them, the corners of her lips rising slightly.

[VIP Chat Group]

[Wallace]: Unless I’m mistaken, that golden brooch is the insignia of a League Special Advisor, isn’t it?

[Lance]: No one in our world has been formally appointed as a League Special Advisor for nearly a century. The position is only activated when the League faces an extreme crisis.

[Steven]: He canceled two meetings? And he’s a League Special Advisor? Brother Asher is an important figure even in the parallel world!

[Professor Carolina]: Hehehe. I approve of this grandson-in-law. He can cook, look after a baby, and help little Cynthia with her work. He’s far better than certain Trainers who know nothing except battling.
