Zenless Zone Zero: The Almighty Incubus of Sixth Street

After saying that, Caesar turned to leave, her face growing even redder as she sank deeper into maidenly shyness.

In her flustered state, she completely forgot she wasn’t wearing her shoes or her over-the-knee tights. Before she could even take a few steady steps, her bare foot came down on a small pebble.

”Ouch! Wait... oh no!”

A soft cry escaped her lips as she instinctively lifted her injured foot. But the sudden movement threw off her balance.

In her panic, she ended up stepping on her own boots nearby, while Wise stood there, completely stunned by her actions.

He watched as Caesar toppled forward, falling straight toward him. Only when her flustered face was right in front of him did Wise react, reaching out to catch her, but he was already too late.

Her soft chest failed to act as any kind of barrier; instead, it was pressed between them, pulling their bodies even closer together.

Then their lips met, and because of the slight cushion between them, it was only a soft touch—not painful in the slightest.

From such close range, Wise could see Caesar’s pupils trembling. Her face flushed rapidly, turning a deep shade of red, as if she had become a ’Steam Princess’, faint heat practically rising from her head.

They remained like that for a brief moment, frozen. Then Wise carefully pushed her away, discreetly shifting his hand from her chest to her shoulder.

But Caesar seemed completely out of it, still trapped in the shock of what had just happened. Her body went limp as she collapsed into Wise’s arms.

”Caesar, are you alright?” Wise asked, his voice filled with concern as he looked down at her.

Just now, his lips had only brushed against hers. There had been no further reaction from his physique’s effects.

Still, he couldn’t help but worry—even something like that might cause trouble. After all, although this place was usually deserted, it was almost time for dinner.

If something happened now and Lucy or Piper came looking for them, the situation would definitely turn awkward.

As for Burnice? There was no need to worry about her. If anything, she might find it interesting enough to join in.

Amid Wise’s repeated calls, Caesar slowly regained her senses. Even so, the image of what had just happened remained vivid in her mind.

’I... I just... kissed Wise?!’ she thought, her mind spiraling.

”Caesar?”

”Huh? I’m fine... Eh? Ah!” She answered instinctively, but only then did she realize their current position.

Wise was holding her by the shoulder, her small bottom resting against his thigh, while her legs were lightly dusted with dirt.

Startled, Caesar began struggling again. Even Wise had difficulty steadying her. After a short while, she finally settled down.

”T-That... you can let me down now.”

Caesar lowered her head, her rosy cheeks brimming with a young girl’s shyness.

Her fair knees pressed tightly together, rubbing slightly, while one hand clenched firmly, as if she were afraid of revealing something.

Seeing this, Wise said nothing. After releasing her, Caesar quickly stood up and sat to the side, intending to put on her boots and leave as fast as possible.

But in her current state, she couldn’t even put her socks on properly. As she struggled, a thought crossed her mind.

’Maybe I should just leave them and take them with me...’

Just as that thought crossed her mind, Wise stood up and stepped closer. He then half-knelt in front of her, picked up one of her long socks, and said softly,

”Let me help you.”

As he spoke, while Caesar was still dazed, he reached out and gently held one of her delicate feet.

But the moment his fingers brushed against her sole, Caesar instinctively reacted. She tensed and pushed forward, her foot landing squarely on his face.

The force wasn’t strong, just a light press that left behind a faint footprint. Even so, she was startled and quickly pulled back, flustered.

”N-No, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to... it just felt a little ticklish...”

’It’s over... it’s really over. It was such a perfect atmosphere, and I messed it up again. His impression of me must be completely ruined now, right?!’ Caesar thought, her chest tightening.

On the surface, she was the confident leader of the Sons of Calydon, but deep down, she longed for a maidenly romance. And now, she could already see that fragile dream crumbling apart.

”It’s fine, it’s nothing serious.”

Wise calmly wiped his face with his hand. The dusty footprint didn’t disappear completely, leaving behind faint traces.

After helping Caesar put on her socks and boots, the two walked side by side in silence. It wasn’t until they were nearly back at Blazewood that Caesar finally spoke.

”That was my first time...” Her soft voice was quiet, but clear enough for him to hear.

Wise glanced at her. Her face was still flushed, her head lowered, while her hands fidgeted nervously in front of her stomach.

A faint smile appeared on his lips. He reached out and gently took one of her hands. His palm was slightly damp, but he didn’t pull away.

”I’ll take responsibility.”

”Ah! T-That... you don’t need to take it that seriously. It was just an accident on my part...” she said, waving her hand lightly, trying to brush it off.

But Wise didn’t let it go.

”Is that so? My first time was taken by Caesar too, you know. I thought you’d take responsibility as well...”

Naturally, he was referring to the moment her foot landed on his face.

It was, after all, the first time something like that had happened to him.

But Caesar didn’t realize that.

’Eh? That was Wise’s first time too? Oh no... I was so focused on myself that I didn’t even think about how he felt! Someone like him must care deeply about these things, just like the male leads in shoujo manga...’

Her thoughts spun in confusion, leaving her unsure of what to say.

”Um... I want to understand. What exactly do you mean?”

Summoning her courage, Caesar finally lifted her head and met his gaze. Her eyes were still filled with a mix of nervousness and emotion, but there was a strong determination beneath it.

Hearing her question, Wise answered without hesitation.

”I like you very much.”

For a brief moment, Caesar froze. Then her face turned red all over again.

”T-Then... let’s g-get to know each other first...”
