Zenless Zone Zero: The Almighty Incubus of Sixth Street

”Yay, I knew you were the best, Wise! It’s settled then, see you tomorrow, Nya~”

With Nekomata’s happy cheers and Billy’s grumpy complaints in the background, Wise hung up the phone.

Leaning against the counter, he couldn’t figure out why everyone picked the same day to invite him.

Since he’d been transmigrated into this world, he’d never dealt with such a messy situation, and this time he had no clue how to fix it.

Just thinking about tomorrow made Wise feel anxious, and he briefly considered ruining the Carnival the night before just to escape the situation.

After all, it was the Carnival’s fault. Without it, he never would have ended up in this mess.

[Indeed, Host. Given the number of your affection targets, this situation was bound to happen.]

The system’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind. It had been quite a while since the system had bothered to say anything.

Apart from collecting emotional values and broadcasting robotic notifications about increased affection, it rarely initiated conversations with him.

’System, even if you’re right, I need time to think. But with just tomorrow left, how am I supposed to plan anything?’

Wise’s complaint made the System fall silent for a moment before it spoke again.

[Dear Host, if you truly wish to destroy the Carnival, you can look in the Emotional Value Store for a Temporary Hollow Summoner, priced at 2000 emotional value. It can last for about two years.]

Hearing the System’s words, Wise immediately shook his head. He just wanted to find a way to deal with tomorrow’s situation; doing something that extreme wasn’t necessary.

[Alright, Host, but you could also try using that one Talent Draw.]

Reminded by the System, Wise finally remembered that such a thing existed, though he’d gotten busy later and completely forgotten about it.

Since the System suggested it, he naturally had to try. As he pressed the draw button, he also moved to the room on the first floor.

Because if he ended up drawing some weird talent that changed him somehow, it would be far too obvious out here.

When he made his way there, Fairy, who was close by, suddenly chimed in.

[|Detection. Master, you seem very troubled. Is it because of tomorrow’s date?|]

”Yeah, that’s right. Since I’m the one who created this mess, I guess I have to deal with the consequences.”

Wise sat on the sofa, looking sideways at Fairy on the computer screen. He couldn’t bear to refuse any of the girls, so he naturally had to take full responsibility.

Hearing that, Fairy didn’t jump in with advice right away like usual. After staying quiet for a bit, she finally spoke.

[|Master, I apologize. I accidentally overheard your talk with Miss Nekomata earlier. If it’s okay with you, I can come up with a plan to help you handle both.|]

Fairy’s words made Wise’s eyes light up right away. He just remembered he had a super AI on hand who could help him figure this out.

Combined with his current abilities, moving quickly between multiple locations wasn’t out of the question.

He just needed a good plan to pull it off, so Wise told Fairy he had to date six girls at the same time tomorrow without any of them running into each other.

After hearing what he said, the light on her computer screen froze, and a little spinning circle popped up in the middle.

It looked like the system might’ve crashed from trying to handle so much information at once.

”Fairy? Are you okay? If this is too complicated, I can just figure something out on my own...”

[|Master, please do not doubt my capabilities. I was simply calculating a plan just now.|]

Fairy cut off Wise’s words before he could finish. Though she was taken aback by how the situation had escalated to this point, that wasn’t something she, as an AI, needed to dwell on.

Her only job was to help her Master resolve his problems with complete dedication.

[|Based on your requirements, Master, I have created a comprehensive plan. I shall call it ’Wise Divided by Six’ and save it under ’Master’s Secret Affairs.’|]

”Huh? Don’t give it such a strange name! It sounds very dangerous! And that file name’s just as bad!”

However, this wasn’t the time to worry about trivial details.

Fairy brought up the map of tomorrow’s Carnival on the screen, which the organizers had posted so people could plan ahead.

[|Master, please take a look. According to the official layout, tomorrow’s Carnival is split into 15 different activity zones, and you’ll be meeting 6 girls in total. What we need to do is distribute these 6 individuals across the zones strategically, leaving 1 to 2 zones between them as a safety margin.|]

Hearing Fairy’s explanation, Wise’s expression turned serious as he studied the map on the computer screen. Something caught his attention almost immediately.

”The activities in these zones...”

[|Exactly, Master. Your observation is spot on. Among the 6 girls you’re seeing, several already have specific zones they want to visit, and those are conveniently spread apart. The ones who are flexible with their plans can be placed in the remaining gaps.|]

While she talked, she put seven little figures on the screen with Wise’s name and the six girls’ names labeled on them.

She then ran a quick simulation of the arrangement on the map. It appeared that as long as he stuck to the plan, it would work perfectly.

[|Master, according to the plan I’ve created, the time schedule is complete. However, there’s still the matter of the headphones you’ll need to wear and the travel time required between locations...|]

”Don’t worry about that part. I’ll handle it. Just make the intervals between dates as short as you can.”

Sure, these weren’t gonna be perfect dates, but he at least had to make sure none of the girls felt like he’d barely spent any time with them.

[|Alright, Master. I have shortened the time as much as possible according to your request. You only need to move at a speed of 400 meters per second to...|]

”Wait, I didn’t ask you to compress it like that! Even if I could somehow do that, it wouldn’t be very discreet!”

[|Master, please do not be agitated. I was merely joking.|]

”Oh, really? That’s pretty funny then.”

He sincerely hoped she was joking.
