Zenless Zone Zero: The Almighty Incubus of Sixth Street

According to Fairy’s investigation, Zhu Yuan and Qingyi had already begun their activities on Six Street.

Although the siblings had already completed their own questionnaires and were ready to hand them in, it was getting late, so the two decided to offer their support the following day.

To their surprise, early the next morning, not long after Wise and Belle left with the questionnaires, they ran into Zhu Yuan and Qingyi at a street corner.

Apart from them, a few other residents of Six Street were around, like Tin Master from the coffee shop and Uncle Enzo from the modification shop.

It seemed Zhu Yuan and the group were running the Public Security promotion there, but it wasn’t exactly going smoothly.

Before they could even start a proper conversation, Uncle Enzo and the others left without looking back, showing no respect for the officers.

”Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, good morning.”

Zhu Yuan, who had been feeling a little down, immediately brightened at the sound of Wise’s voice.

”Wise, Belle, so it’s you two, good morning.”

[Name: Zhu Yuan]

[Gender: Female]

[Charm: 96]

[Unique Traits: Her red streaks in her hair are natural. Should I mention that, or just stick to the usual description, emphasizing the more prominent features?]

[Hobbies: Strong obsession with ”neatness” and ”perfect scores.”]

[Current Status: Slightly dejected]

[Current Favorability toward Host: 60]

[Evaluation: A good girl with a sense of justice and great filial piety. She chose this path out of admiration for a certain brave Inspector. Even though her idol has changed, she pushes forward in the name of justice.]

[Inner Thoughts: Why are Wise and Belle here? I absolutely cannot let them know we haven’t made any progress this morning. That would be too embarrassing!]

Seeing Zhu Yuan’s inner thought, Wise understood exactly what she needed at that moment.

”These are our questionnaires. Belle and I are going to attend the lecture,” Wise said, handing them over.

Zhu Yuan seemed a little happier and relieved. Just like expected, her favorability went up by 5, now at 65.

As they both tried to understand why a questionnaire could cause such excitement, Qingyi on the other side answered their question.

”That’s great! If you two hadn’t come, we wouldn’t have gotten a single participant yet,” Qingyi said calmly.

”Wait a second, senior, that’s a bit too blunt...”

Zhu Yuan wanted to interrupt, but Qingyi didn’t seem to care at all.

”What’s there to be afraid of? Everything I said is true. And besides, the two of them aren’t strangers.”

Qingyi glanced at Wise, who nodded in confirmation.

”She’s right, but still… Why hasn’t anyone on Six Street shown up for the lecture? I thought everyone here would be excited to attend.”

The siblings couldn’t help but think that maybe the residents all had too many ”secrets” to want to cooperate with the officers.

”By the way, is there anything we can help with?” Belle asked Qingyi enthusiastically.

Qingyi didn’t refuse. As they looked over the old resident registration form, they noticed that several names were listed without any addresses.

Going door-to-door to track them down would be troublesome, so it made more sense to leave it to the locals.

The siblings readily agreed, and on their way to find those residents, they discussed why the locals seemed so indifferent toward the officers.

The answer didn’t take long. When they reached the arcade on Six Street, they immediately spotted Miss Asha standing at the entrance.

[Name: Asha]

[Gender: Female]

[Charm: 91]

[Unique Traits: A rabbit-eared woman. The long, hair-like things behind her head are actually her ears.]

[Hobbies: Gaming]

[Current Status: Relaxed]

[Current Favorability toward Host: 80]

[Evaluation: Started liking you after losing to you in a game once.]

[Inner Thoughts: Huh, Wise hasn’t been to the arcade in a while. Last time I lost by accident, he just ran off, and I couldn’t claim the win.]

Seeing that Asha was still thinking about that game, Wise felt a little helpless but stepped forward anyway.

”Miss Asha, hello.”

- Asha1 -

His greeting immediately grabbed her attention, and upon seeing him, she couldn’t help but smile.

”Oh my, it’s the two shopkeepers! Why are you guys here? Want to have a good game? Your big sister is on fire right now!”

”No, let’s talk about the game later. Actually, the main reason we came this time is for this...”

Wise said, handing her the flyer Qingyi had given him and explaining the current situation.

After hearing his explanation, Asha frowned deeply. As expected, she refused.

She also mentioned that while exchange activities might be ordinary for most people, for certain special individuals, they held an entirely different meaning.

Naturally, the siblings were very confused. When they tried to ask more, Asha deliberately avoided the question.

Realizing they weren’t going to get any answers, the two moved on.

Next, they went to the Waterfall Soup run by General Chop across the street, only to find that he wasn’t there.

A customer explained that General Chop had just stepped out. With no other option, the siblings decided to leave for now and return later, then made their way to the last resident’s home.

This time, the resident was an old man named Spike. After much effort to convince him they weren’t health product salesmen, he finally came out to see them.

Unfortunately, the outcome was much the same as before.

He also refused to join the Public Security’s promotional event. Still, Wise and Belle managed to learn a few things about the past from him.

It looked like some events from long ago had made the residents not want to participate.
