Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2072: Chapter 1591: Out of Danger? (Part 3)

”Pray nothing goes wrong.” Bai Xiaosheng put away his smile and tossed the lit lighter with a flick of his wrist.

Just for a moment!

If flames burst out and flush out the bandits, it’s their chance!

But soon, the fire alarm will trigger, and water sprinkling down will dilute the alcohol, neutralizing the threat!

If they fail to seize the opportunity, those two fierce individuals will undoubtedly be enraged and charge at them recklessly.

By then, casualties will be inevitable!

Everyone tensed up instantly.

The fire blazed up suddenly.

From behind the low wall, the two bandits, with flames on their clothes, fled out in panic.

They could never have imagined that the people opposite them would be so ruthless!

Almost instantaneously, Adam and his two companions, who were fully prepared, opened fire.

Adam, who always claimed to be a shooting expert and was recognized by Xiya and Jaster, indeed proved to be formidable.

With successive gunshots, the two fell instantly.

Soon after, the store’s fire alarm blared, and water sprinkled down from above.

Adam, Jaster, and Xiya hesitated no more, and without waiting for orders, they moved forward in a formation taught at the police academy, alternately covering each other.

Bai Xiaosheng then pulled Lin Weiwei along, signaling Lei Ying to retreat.

The following scene was for these officers to handle, not them.

Once outside the store, Bai Xiaosheng and the others discovered that people were gathering from afar, and a perimeter had been set up.

A few special police officers, armed with shields, were closing in, commanding them to crouch down with their hands on their heads.

It was still a remote area here; otherwise, the police force wouldn’t have come only now.

Just as Bai Xiaosheng and the others were about to comply, Xiya and the others came out of the store, recognized them, and identified themselves loudly as comrades.

Then a verification followed.

Xiya took the opportunity to inform Bai Xiaosheng about the situation inside. The two bandits suffered severe injuries, lost the ability to move, but were still alive.

And they were unharmed.

Bai Xiaosheng was satisfied with this outcome, while Xiya felt conflicted.

In the face of a crisis, any strategy, no matter how ridiculous it seems, is a good one as long as it’s effective and can minimize casualties.

On the surface, Xiya found it difficult to accept, but in her heart, she acknowledged that Bai Xiaosheng was a bit more formidable than her.

Bai Xiaosheng naturally could see through her thoughts at this moment, but he just smiled without exposing it or making any sarcastic comments.

Xiya proactively engaged with the present commanding officer, asking them to dispatch a vehicle to send Bai Xiaosheng and the others away.

After all, Bai Xiaosheng and his companions were the ones they needed to protect.

The arriving commanding officer was extremely surprised to learn that Bai Xiaosheng was an honorary instructor hired by the Twelve Countries Police Alliance academy and immediately made arrangements to deploy personnel and a vehicle.

A young officer volunteered to drive a seven-seater car to transport Bai Xiaosheng and the others.

By now, the scene was under control, and Bai Xiaosheng and the others had no reason to stay longer. As for the record and interrogation, it’s believed that Xiya and the others would handle it subsequently.

Once everyone got in the car and informed the driver of the destination, they began to relax.

After experiencing tension, one often feels exceptionally tired, instinctively emptying the mind.

This is also a protective mechanism of the human body, preventing mental breakdown from constant tension.

The car drove away, weaving through the streets and alleys.

Four to five minutes later, Bai Xiaosheng glanced out the window, furrowing his brows slightly, and looked at Xiya beside him.

Xiya also came out of her daze, scanned the view outside, and shifted inside the car to meet Bai Xiaosheng’s gaze.

Bai Xiaosheng’s lips curled into a smile, ”Xiya, you’re quite lucky today to have a case to teach you to predict a crisis in advance, and respond to it. Aside from the earlier example, a test has come for you too!”

”Will you succeed?” Bai Xiaosheng asked softly.

Adam in the passenger seat and Jaster in the back, hearing this cryptic dialogue, looked at Bai Xiaosheng in confusion.

What was he talking about? What test was he referring to?

Was it only for Xiya? Did it not apply to them?

Xiya gazed at Bai Xiaosheng and earnestly nodded, ”Understood, Instructor Bai!”

Unconsciously, she even changed her form of address.

This left Adam and Jaster dumbfounded.

Then, they were both intrigued and startled.

Xiya drew her gun, pressing it to the driver’s head, and said sternly, ”Slow down, stop the car!”

Everyone was shocked.

Bai Xiaosheng, however, smiled.

Despite Xiya voicing no acknowledgment, she had noted the points he taught.

She also realized there was something wrong with the driver!

He wasn’t one of their own!

The young man driving, with a gun pointed at his head, didn’t panic. Instead, a peculiar smile played at the corners of his mouth, and he obediently complied by stopping the car without any sudden moves.

”Lady, there’s no need to point that at me! Because we’ve already reached our destination.” The driver grinned coldly, ”No, it’s your time to die!”
