Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2057: Chapter 1584: The Weakest Support, the Best Arrangement

As Wen Yan initiated an investigation into Landvo, Bai Xiaosheng’s promotion task met the criteria and was officially completed.

On this day, entering his sixth year with the group, Bai Xiaosheng could finally reach new heights!

However, at this moment, Bai Xiaosheng did not feel overly joyful, at least not as excited as he had imagined.

Step by step, he had walked steadily to where he was now, with only a calm mind, as the promotion task was completed according to his plan.

There was indeed a sense of accomplishment, though.

But having just witnessed the downfall of a brilliant person, Bai Xiaosheng’s heart was filled with sighs.

Soon after, a doubt arose in Bai Xiaosheng’s heart, ”Wait a minute, the initial promotion task was supposed to be ’investigate the South America Region leader, report them to the group, until they receive punishment.’ Isn’t Wen Yan just investigating Landvo? How was it completed?”

When Bai Xiaosheng expressed his confusion, Red Lotus provided an explanation.

”Currently, Mr. Wen Yan has provided a lot of evidence, and the headquarters’ top executives decided to suspend all of Landvo’s duties, placing him under investigation, which is considered a certain level of action. Therefore, the system deems the task complete, though not fully. Some task rewards will be distributed based on the extent of Landvo’s punishment.”

Such a ’humanized’ decision, who would have thought this is what the artificial intelligence was like.

Bai Xiaosheng silently remarked in his heart.

Who knows how Red Lotus felt about it.

In fact, Red Lotus had no reaction and began procedurally announcing some content—

”Due to the reason for your chosen task branch in the previous phase, the speed of score increase in this phase rises by five percent, the position is in an uncontrollable state, and the assistance is in a weakened version. Detailed explanation as follows—”

”In this phase, your level is elevated to the ’Business Division Leader Level’ of the six major business divisions, on par with the business president of the six major business divisions, and equivalent to the chief of the Inspection Department...”

”Searching for suitable specific positions...”

”Search completed, no matching positions found...”

This situation arose because neither the heads of the group’s six major business divisions nor the chief of the Inspection Department have any vacancies.

Even though Landvo’s duties are suspended, he has not been officially dismissed, so the position is not considered vacant.

Bai Xiaosheng could understand this.

”Given the current situation, the system suggests ’high position with lower assignment,’ meaning: maintaining the current level while taking on several slightly lower-rank positions.”

This statement from Red Lotus instantly moved Bai Xiaosheng.

What is ”high position with lower assignment”? In a business structure, it means having someone with a higher administrative level taking on a position one level lower than their administrative designation.

Moreover, Red Lotus clarified that the positions could be concurrently held!

Bai Xiaosheng had long considered this, especially after Xiahou Qi suggested establishing a global business alliance, which ignited Bai Xiaosheng’s ambitions.

If he were directly promoted to be the leader of some business division, it now seemed the most likely would be the South America region’s business president, appearing prestigious at first glance, rising a step, but at the cost of relinquishing real power over the subordinate enterprises!

Further distancing himself from the Greater China Region, where immense potential lies!

Bai Xiaosheng was unwilling to do this!

Not to mention, there are only four years currently to complete this inheritance journey, pushing him to strive for the highest position—the Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors!

If the path taken before was described as difficult, then the path ahead would be ten or even a hundred times more arduous!

Hence, Bai Xiaosheng had been contemplating how to stay within the Greater China Region after his promotion, rather than being sent to the headquarters overseas.

Bai Xiaosheng hoped for tangible authority to accumulate achievements, and unexpectedly, Red Lotus provided him this opportunity.

”I accept the high position with lower assignment, willing to take on multiple roles!” Bai Xiaosheng immediately told Red Lotus, ”Preferably while maintaining my current role, taking on additional responsibilities!”

Red Lotus remained silent for a moment before responding—

”This request... cannot be fulfilled!”

Initially filled with excitement and passion, Bai Xiaosheng was taken aback upon hearing this, stunned.

Red Lotus, as if pouring a bucket of cold water overhead, extinguished Bai Xiaosheng’s inner fire.

Wasn’t it supposed to be possible to have a high position with lower assignment and take on multiple roles? How come now it’s not allowed?

”Why?!” Bai Xiaosheng hurriedly asked.

”Based on your level, you need to go to the headquarters, to take on multiple roles. Please choose your headquarters position,” Red Lotus answered.

Bai Xiaosheng was stunned and then felt an uproar of mythological creatures in his heart!

What was this?!

Initially thinking that the high position with lower assignment and taking on additional roles would be a good thing, it turned out he needed to choose a lower-positioned role at the headquarters. Why should he accept this lower assignment? Wouldn’t being the head of a department be better!

”Then I do not accept!” Bai Xiaosheng hurried to say.

”Sorry, your choice has already been confirmed,” Red Lotus stated.

Bai Xiaosheng was momentarily taken aback, then felt a pang of frustration in his heart.

Red Lotus continued, ”Currently, assistance is at weakened level, serving as ’can exercise special appoint-and-dismiss rights, up to: appointments at your current level’, requiring the corresponding position vacancy...”

Bai Xiaosheng originally felt depressed, but upon hearing this phrase, he was taken aback.

This... what kind of assistance?

Special appoint-and-dismiss rights, can appoint at his own level?

Meaning... oneself, appointing, oneself?

Bai Xiaosheng hurriedly ”inquired,” ”I can perform appoint-and-dismiss on myself?!”

”You can! However, for self-appoint-and-dismiss, this privilege can only be utilized once! Cannot forcibly occupy non-vacant positions...” Red Lotus explained.

Listening to this explanation, Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but want to laugh out loud.

This was simply ”after all the struggles, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!”

If Red Lotus had a physical form, Bai Xiaosheng would have liked to give her a kiss.

After his excitement, Bai Xiaosheng earnestly told Red Lotus, ”I want to exercise this one-time-only assistance now!”

”Please clarify.” Red Lotus responded.

”I now appoint Bai Xiaosheng as the Executive President of the Greater China Region, concurrently holding other positions, with the position level as business president level!” Bai Xiaosheng earnestly proclaimed.

Self-appointing oneself...

An entirely novel feeling!

After speaking, Bai Xiaosheng felt a bit anxious, unsure if he truly understood the assistance content correctly, unsure what issues might arise.

Red Lotus’ silence at this moment made Bai Xiaosheng infinitely nervous.

My dear grandmother, please pass, please! This will give me the chance to unfold grand plans!

Bai Xiaosheng even secretly whispered a prayer in his heart.

”Passed!” Red Lotus’s voice resonated.

In this moment, Bai Xiaosheng truly felt ecstatic, to the point of wanting to cheer with a fist pump.

This works out! This seemingly weakest assistance turned out to be the best choice!

Red Lotus continued, ”Your second concurrent role will be selected from a headquarters position, and you will be notified upon discovering a position vacancy. Your formal position level will also be officially announced at a certain administrative level. Please wait for this!”

Upon hearing these words, Bai Xiaosheng paid them little mind, exhaling a long breath of relief, joy indescribable in his heart.

”Currently, the position level is at business president level, with available discretionary funds of five billion...” Red Lotus continued.

Regarding this, Bai Xiaosheng was utterly unconcerned.

Does he lack money now?

Even his businesses span Zunbai Zhisheng, Xuelian Wanhe, Li Ni Workshop, Kelson, ’Encounter’ Liquor Group, Shengsheng International, Feisheng Biological Technology Pharmaceutical Group, seven in total!

In the past two years, each grew like a snowball, expanding and strengthening.

Throughout his inheritance journey, Bai Xiaosheng had invisibly created his own business empire!
