Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 248: Chapter 146: Knowledge-Loving Dwarf, Blacksmith in Position_3 Chapter 248: Chapter 146: Knowledge-Loving Dwarf, Blacksmith in Position_3 Hearing this, there was already a strong feeling of excitement in Harold’s eyes!

He looked at the giant woman beside him, tentatively asking, “Putana, let’s stay here.”

“This territory is very safe, and the Lord is very foresighted.”

“Plus, the Gale Snow Plain has become increasingly unsafe lately, with Hunters and Ice Nest Monsters rampaging.”

“I know you hate living in clusters, but we indeed need a stable place…”

Putana also knew that Harold was making sense.

Wandering all the time wasn’t a solution either.

But as said before, years of wandering outside had made her not easily trust anyone.

Putana seemed very conflicted.

At this moment, Cao Xing said, “In my territory, you can fully unleash your talents.”

“Mr. Harold can focus on forging and reading, and Lady Putana only needs to assist in the territory’s defense and go hunting with me during the day.”

“And I will provide you with a warm and safe dwelling.”

Hearing this, a light appeared in Putana’s eyes. She confirmed, “My husband, he doesn’t need to fight?”

Cao Xing nodded, “Yes.”

At this moment, Putana solemnly declared, “We are willing to join your territory, Lord Cao Xing.”

Hearing this, Cao Xing also smiled and then issued them recruitment information.

[Recruitment Success: Putana Carson and Harold Iceberg have joined your territory, territory population +3]

Since Putana was an Elite Level creature, she would occupy 2 population slots.

Cao Xing stood up, “Welcome to your joining, Putana, Harold, let us build an equal and knowledge-filled territory together.”

The two of them stood up as well.

Putana bent down lightly, while Harold stood on a chair.

Then they both saluted Cao Xing at the same time.

“Thank you for letting us join the territory. We will contribute well to the territory!”

Cao Xing nodded and then looked at their Loyalty. Both of them had just joined, and both had over 60 points.

He finally breathed a sigh of relief.

At the same time, there was a strong sense of joy in his eyes!

Relying on his speech skills and techniques, he finally kept these two natives!

Next, as long as he slightly increased their Loyalty, the blacksmith position in his territory would be settled!

With a blacksmith, equipment could be crafted in batches.

And this equipment could then arm the Legion, enhancing the battle capabilities of the newcomers.

Most importantly, Cao Xing still had over a hundred Ascalon Soldier Recruitment Scrolls in his hand!

The weapons and equipment for these more than a hundred people had found a solution!

However, since Putana and Harold had just joined, Cao Xing decided to let them adapt for a while before assigning them tasks.

“You two, rest in the tavern for a while.”

The two nodded after hearing this.

Meanwhile, Cao Xing directly walked out of the tavern.

…

Time slowly passed.

By noon, there were already four or five Ice Nests smashed near the territory.

“Boom! Boom!”

The continuous sound of impacts.

After these Ice Nests crashed, many Ice Nest Monsters would hatch and charge towards the territory.

Then, Eliza would excitedly lead those Tree Spirit Clan archers to rush and deal with the Ice Nest Monsters.

Although she only had First-tier strength, she was more enthusiastic in battle than those Second Order powerhouses.

And Cao Xing and Liu Muxue were sitting in the territory upgrading.

In no time, a white light appeared around Cao Xing.

[Your Level has increased, current Level: 14]

[This upgrade gains Attributes: Power +3, Agility +4, Spirit +7, Constitution +6]

…

Shortly after, upgrade prompts for Yilena, Hilda, Blot, and others kept appearing.

Cao Xing chuckled, “These Ice Nests are great, they’re simply delivered experience packages!”

“If the frequency were a bit higher, I guess I could reach level 20 in a day or two!”

He stood on the city wall, watching Eliza lead the Frost Archer Team below, shooting each Ice Nest Monster on the spot.

Beside them, the Wild Boar Warriors and two Mage Apprentices were also continuously attacking.

Scanning around, he found that the Ice Nest Monster levels had generally risen to 6~8.

It was estimated that in another two or three days, Second Order Ice Nest Monsters would appear.

However, for Eliza and others carrying a bunch of statuses, even encountering Second Order Ice Nest Monsters, they could handle it.

Cao Xing noticed that after Eliza took down a wave of Ice Nest Monsters each time,

She would lead the team to reclaim the arrows in the snow and pick up the items dropped by the Ice Nest Monsters.

Cao Xing glanced at the quivers on their bodies, contemplating, “The territory’s arrow reserves are still relatively low; as the archer profession grows, they’re almost running out.”

“Just as I have an Iron Arrow crafting blueprint at hand, I can have Harold mass-produce some arrows tomorrow.”

In this regard, the Mage profession was better, as it didn’t need to consume arrows and could directly condense Magic Power to fight.

Of course, the Spirit intensity of a Mage was an issue; after fighting for a while, they would feel mentally exhausted and need to rest and recover their Spirit.

Overall, each had its pros and cons.

And with Eliza and others’ continuous fighting,

In no time, the battle noise outside ceased.

Just as Cao Xing was ready to stretch and go down to participate in the battle,

Mage Apprentice Aili timidly walked over at this moment.

She held a small wooden staff, wore a mage hat, and her Mage Apprentice robe dragged on the snow, cautiously looking at Cao Xing.

However, this Mage Apprentice was too timid and didn’t dare to speak first to him.

Thus, Cao Xing asked, “Aili, is there something you need?”

“I… I…”

After a moment, Aili said, “We just killed an Elite Level Ice Nest Monster outside.”

“And then… a new item dropped from it…”

…
