Chapter 225: Chapter 139: Elena the Landlady’s Invitation_2 Chapter 225: Chapter 139: Elena the Landlady’s Invitation_2 However, since he was the only bartender at Zhuolan Tavern, it wasn’t very good for Cao Xing to poach him.

A moment later, the bartender placed the three drinks he had just prepared in front of the three.

“Sir, your drinks are ready.”

Cao Xing nodded and then said, “Hello Mr. Elcan, I have something I would like to discuss with you.”

He got straight to the point.

The bartender looked at Cao Xing with a smile, seemingly surprised that he knew his name.

“Sir, please go ahead.”

Cao Xing said, “You should know I’m a lord nearby, and my territory also has a tavern and stored liquor.”

“But because I’m missing a bartender, my tavern has never been able to run.”

“I also know you’ve worked at Zhuolan Tavern for many years, and it’s not great to poach you away.”

“So I wanted to ask if you have any recommendations?”

After saying this, Cao Xing took out 200 Crowns and placed them on the bar.

Bartender Elcan pondered for a moment, then nodded and said, “In fact, I have a son who just turned 17 this year.”

“But he has been learning bartending skills with me for many years, and when I’m not around, he also comes to Zhuolan Tavern to take my place.”

“If this lord doesn’t mind, I can call him down.”

Hearing this, Cao Xing’s eyes lit up and he said, “Then please, Mr. Elcan.”

Elcan gave a bow and then left the bar.

Shortly after, he brought back a young man who looked about seventy percent like him but younger and a bit pale.

Seeing Cao Xing, the young man nervously said, “M…My lord…”

Cao Xing nodded and quickly glanced at his attributes.

[Hog Village Villager: Rach Babu]

[Level: 4]

[Life Value: 420/420]

[Attack Power: 12~15]

[Skill: Basic Brewing Knowledge, Basic Bartending Technique]

[Talent: Sensitive Sense of Smell (Rach inherited his father’s talent, born with a more sensitive sense of smell than normal)]

…

Cao Xing’s eyes brightened at once.

Goodness, was this talent hereditary?

He smiled and said, “Mr. Elcan, your son has an excellent talent.”

Hearing the compliment, Elcan smiled with satisfaction, “This lord flatters him.”

Then, Cao Xing asked, “Rach, are you willing to come back to my territory and work there?”

“I will pay you the same salary as your father receives here.”

Hearing this, Rach tentatively glanced at his father.

Elcan nodded.

Rach immediately exclaimed excitedly, “I am willing, dear lord!”

Cao Xing also smiled.

“Good, then wait a moment, I’ll take you to see the village chief for approval.”

After saying this, he called Renice, Andrew, Hilda, Blom, and others over.

The small tavern was soon filled with the large forms of several big fellows.

Seeing the strong aura this group involuntarily exuded, Rach’s eyes showed a look of surprise and envy.

Cao Xing laughed and said, “Mr. Elcan, these are my subjects.”

“I’ll let them relax here first, and I will cover all expenses when I return.”

Today, Assam and the others had fought all day, so Cao Xing wanted to let them have a few drinks to unwind.

Cao Xing turned and said, “Assam, Blom, you wait here for a while, order whatever you like.”

Big Beard Blom laughed and said, “What? There’s booze!”

“Great! Long live the lord!”

Blom pulled Assam eagerly to the bar and began ordering wildly.

Seeing this, Cao Xing smiled and shook his head.

Of course, several others who didn’t drink, like Hilda and Renice, sat together at one table.

Cao Xing told Liu Muxue, “Muxue, I’ll take Rach to see the village chief, wait for me at the tavern.”

Liu Muxue’s face carried a faint smile, then she gave a light nod and sat beside Renice.

They didn’t need to worry about Cao Xing’s safety.

With Sarah by Cao Xing’s side, even if an assassination like yesterday’s happened, she could easily handle it.

Moreover, Cao Xing’s strength had skyrocketed, he could activate the Demon Transformation and use the [Book of the Dead] at any time, having many trump cards in hand.

Then, Cao Xing and Rach left the tavern together.

Soon, they arrived at the village chief’s residence.

After hearing Cao Xing explain his intentions, the village chief readily agreed to the request.

After all, to him, Rach was just an idle kid in the village, unimportant compared to Old Mel.

Happily, a lord took a liking to Rach, solving some employment burden for the village as well.

The system prompt appeared.

[Hog Village Village Chief has agreed to your recruitment request, Rach Babu has joined your territory, territory population +1]

After bidding farewell to the old village chief, Cao Xing and Rach stood at the door.

Rach respectfully saluted and said, “Honorable lord, Rach will work diligently for you in the future.”

Cao Xing nodded, “Don’t be too nervous, our tavern is not big at the moment, so your work won’t be too tiring.”

Hearing this, Rach’s face also showed a smile, “Lord, I’m not afraid of hard work, I’m just worried about not doing well and tarnishing your reputation.”

“Now, please allow me to go home and pack my things, I will devote myself entirely to the upcoming work.”

Cao Xing nodded, “Go ahead, Rach, find me at the tavern when you’re done.”

“Yes, my lord.”

With that, Rach jogged away,
