Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 186: Chapter 127: Shield Temple, Cao Xing’s Tactical Command! Chapter 186: Chapter 127: Shield Temple, Cao Xing’s Tactical Command! Outside the Shield Temple, it seemed to have been occupied by a large number of Soul-Devouring Monsters.

The sight of dozens of Soul-Devouring Monsters crawling outside the temple left Cao Xing deeply shocked.

“Oh my… so many?”

Cao Xing, surprised, also felt a sense of pressure.

Besides those ordinary Soul-Devouring Monsters, he even spotted one or two with red and yellow skin among the horde.

Their upright walking posture made them look more like aliens from a movie.

He glanced at these monsters’ attributes.

“Thick blood volume.” Cao Xing’s pupils narrowed.

However, apart from these two elite-level Soul-Devouring Monsters,

there was also a giant Soul-Devouring Monster over five meters long beside them, its enormous black mouth wide open as if it could swallow a person whole!

This was indeed the strongest presence among these Soul-Devouring Monsters!

…

“Terrifying creature,” Cao Xing commented.

He did not immediately let his subordinates rush in but continued to observe the situation inside.

At this moment, those Soul-Devouring Monsters were perseveringly attacking the gate.

However, each time they were rebounded by the blue energy shield upon the gate.

Yet, it seemed that the continuous attacks by these Soul-Devouring Monsters had gradually weakened the energy shield on the gate.

Cao Xing mused, “This should be the Advanced Magic Power Gate that the undead Carlhan mentioned, keeping these Soul-Devouring Monsters outside.”

“However, this gate seems about to give in.”

He took a glance at the gate’s attributes.

[Advanced Magic Power Gate]

[Armor: 500]

[Durability Value: 200000]

[Shield Durability: 34032/100000 (recovers 1000 durability value per second, consumption 5 energy)]

[Remaining Energy: 1032/50000]

…

Cao Xing nodded to himself.

It was indeed as he anticipated; the gate was about to give in.

Once the shield’s energy was exhausted, then they could attack the gate itself.

Afterward, those Soul-Devouring Monsters could storm the Shield Temple and start a buffet.

At this time, those subordinates also saw the scene inside.

Blom lowered his voice and exclaimed, “By the gods! So many monsters!”

Hearing his voice, other subordinates also came over one by one to witness the scene inside.

Instantly, a sense of shock hit their hearts.

Renice was also astonished, “So many Soul-Devouring Monsters!”

For a moment, everyone felt a surge of pressure.

Although they were strong, there were too many third-tier Soul-Devouring Monsters here.

Combined with the difference between the second and third tier,

if besieged, even they could not withstand it.

Cao Xing made a gesture, indicating everyone to slowly retreat.

In the corridor, they quickly gathered together.

Then, all eyes turned to Cao Xing.

Although Cao Xing was merely a second-order mage, his command abilities had already gained everyone’s recognition through the previous battles.

Even Sarah greatly admired his command ability.

These recruited creatures were all waiting for Cao Xing’s orders.

Cao Xing was also pondering, seemingly considering tactics.

At this moment, he looked up at Sarah beside him and then asked, “Sarah, can you handle those two elite-level Soul-Devouring Monsters, plus that boss, together?”

Sarah nodded, “My blades shall be wielded by you to cut through all thorns!”

She looked full of confidence.

Although Sarah had just advanced to a third-tier leader, a few levels below these Soul-Devouring Monsters,

with her rich combat experience, and the series of buffs added to her by Cao Xing, her survival and attack capabilities were astonishingly formidable.

Cao Xing nodded, “Alright, let’s do it this way.”

“Next, Sarah will attack first, then lead those three Soul-Devouring Monsters away from the battlefield.”

“Meanwhile, we need to draw the attention of other Soul-Devouring Monsters, letting them all attack us.”

“Blom and Assam, you two need to guard the gate together.”

“Then all long-range units, start to attack with all your might.”

This was a simple Carmen tactic.

However, since the gate in front of them was wide, at least two strong warriors were needed to block it.

Moreover, the key to this tactic was whether Sarah could successfully lure those three powerful Soul-Devouring Monsters out of the battle.

At the same time, Assam and Blom, responsible for blocking the gate, had to firmly withstand the attack from the Soul-Devouring Monsters outside, absolutely not letting them in.

Hence, Cao Xing took out the [Life Secret Medicine (Small)] from his backpack.
