Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Cao Xing’s eyes sparkled with realization after reading the update content.

A total of ten updates were all quite significant.

The first three were related to the dragon expansion.

The frequency of Ice Nest eruptions would increase, the Giant Dragon Store would open, and the level of killing Ice Nest Monsters would gradually rise.

Cao Xing’s eyes sparkled with realization:

“An Ice Nest can incubate at least 500 monsters. Killing them all can provide a large amount of experience value. Besides, you can take the dropped Ice Dragon Marks to the Giant Dragon Store to exchange for items.”

“So, if an Ice Nest lands near your territory and you manage to withstand it, survivors will gain a lot of resources.”

“But if you can’t withstand it, the outcome is the territory being destroyed and everyone being wiped out.”

Apart from these, there were updates that were closer to reality.

The drop rate of recruitment scrolls was lowered, and the Reputation Value Interface was opened.

This meant that survivors needed to interact more with the natives of the world to recruit powerful subordinates.

Therefore, the attribute of reputation became more significant.

The higher the reputation, whether in your territory’s tavern or in taverns worldwide, the greater the probability of recruiting powerful natives or those with special abilities.

Another update increased the drop rates of training books and Hearts of Power, encouraging survivors to develop their legions.

However, whether taking the legion path or the elite path, for Cao Xing it was all the same.

Because he had the SSS-level Eternal Power Talent, he was naturally much stronger than other survivors.

Moreover, the more people he had under his command, the more terrifying the bonus from the Eternal Power Talent became.

Then, Cao Xing glanced at the [Reputation Value Interface].

[Reputation Value: 1100 (Minor Celebrity, when activating tavern recruitment, there is a 5%+5% chance to attract Elite Level Creatures, a 1%+5% chance to attract Boss Level Creatures, a 0.01%+5% chance to attract Leader Level Creatures.)]

(Note: Due to your territory possessing the “Land of Hope” title, all ranks of powerful recruits have an additional 5% chance.)

Seeing the note at the end, Cao Xing’s pupils contracted sharply.

“All ranks of powerful beings have a 5% increased chance?”

“Whoa!”

Cao Xing was incredibly shocked. From the 0.01% chance for Leader Level Creatures, it was clear how difficult it was to recruit such powerful beings.

However, a single title increased the probability by 5%, totaling over 20% for all ranks combined.

This meant that each time Cao Xing activated the tavern recruitment function, there was a considerable chance to recruit creatures above the elite level.

Cao Xing exclaimed with delight, “This title is truly formidable! If only I could have more such titles!”

However, the territory’s title was a hidden function, randomly triggered.

Even Cao Xing didn’t know how to unlock the next title.

Therefore, to increase the probability of recruiting powerful beings, he had to work on the reputation value.

And in Cao Xing’s hands, he currently held a map of the Gale Snow Plain, marked with the locations of various hunters’ bases.

Once he enhanced his power, he could use this map to flatten those hunters’ bases one by one, aggressively boosting his reputation value!

For a moment, Cao Xing couldn’t help but feel a bit of anticipation.

Besides these, another update excited Cao Xing even more.

The Giant Dragon Store was now open!

This time, he had already collected many Ice Dragon Marks in anticipation of the new expansion, hoping to exchange for some good items.

“The store is finally open, let’s see what’s inside.”

With excitement, Cao Xing opened the Giant Dragon Store.

Suddenly, various dazzling items appeared before his eyes.

He glanced casually.

[Giant Dragon Store Treasure Box Exchange Interface]

[Cold Bronze Treasure Box]: Priced at 200 Ice Dragon Marks (limited to 100)

[Icy Silver Treasure Box]: Priced at 2000 Ice Dragon Marks (limited to 20)

[Glittering Golden Treasure Box]: Priced at 100,000 Ice Dragon Marks (limited to 3)

[Crystal Bright Moon Treasure Box]: Priced at 500,000 Ice Dragon Marks (limited to 1)

(Note: This series of treasure boxes are from the Ice Dragon “Zhuoma” expansion and can contain exclusive items.)

…

Cao Xing was taken aback, “Hmm? What is the Bright Moon Treasure Box?”

Up until now, even he had never opened a Golden Treasure Box.

And in a Golden Treasure Box, there was already a high probability of obtaining golden equipment or golden blueprints and other items.

A higher-level Bright Moon Treasure Box, could it be… Epic Quality?

Cao Xing was shocked for a moment!

At this moment, he felt a surge of excitement, even considering redeeming a Bright Moon Treasure Box on the spot!

However, the price was also astonishing.

It required a full 500,000 Ice Dragon Marks.

To know, Cao Xing had only gathered twenty thousand Ice Dragon Marks through massive trading over the past two days.

For 500,000 Ice Dragon Marks, it was unlikely anyone on all servers could redeem it.

“Looks like the twenty thousand Ice Dragon Marks I have can’t exchange for a Golden Treasure Box, but I could directly exchange for 10 Silver Treasure Boxes?”

Cao Xing was startled.

To know that a Silver Treasure Box had a high probability of containing blue Superior or purple Rare Quality equipment.

Cao Xing’s face lit up with joy, “This wave is not at a loss. With 21 treasure boxes, at least a few pieces of purple equipment will come out!”

According to the Black Lion Commerce’s pricing, a purple equipment’s price was in the tens of thousands of Crowns!

However, he didn’t exchange immediately. He calmed his excitement and continued to survey.

[Giant Dragon Store Blueprint Exchange Interface]

[Basic Frost Cannon Blueprint]: Priced at 10,000 Ice Dragon Marks

[Basic Snowball Cannon Blueprint]: Priced at 20,000 Ice Dragon Marks

[Intermediate Frost Cannon Blueprint]: Priced at 100,000 Ice Dragon Marks

[Intermediate Snowball Cannon Blueprint]: Priced at 150,000 Ice Dragon Marks

[Dragon Blood Warrior Training Camp Construction Diagram]: Priced at 200,000 Ice Dragon Marks

[Frost Catapult Construction Blueprint]: Priced at 300,000 Ice Dragon Marks

[Advanced Frost Wall Construction Blueprint]: Priced at 500,000 Ice Dragon Marks.

…

“Hiss!”

After seeing these blueprint rewards, Cao Xing took a deep breath.

“Even such advanced cannon blueprints and catapult blueprints are available for exchange, this is too amazing!”

Until now, Cao Xing didn’t even have an Intermediate Arrow Tower!

This time, the exchange store offered Intermediate Cannon and Advanced Wall blueprints!

Apart from that, Cao Xing also saw other miscellaneous exchangeable items.

For instance, a Basic Heart of Power could be exchanged for 1000 Ice Dragon Marks, while the [Dragon Blood Warrior Training Manual] required 3000 Ice Dragon Marks each.

In conclusion… there were many items in the Giant Dragon Store, and most were exclusive!

Just exchanging one or two blueprints and creating what they offered would be a huge boost!

After reviewing these updates, Cao Xing already had a plan in mind.
