Immortality Begins With Internal Breathing

”Elder, you really think highly of me. Aren’t you afraid I might not be able to break through to the Blood Qi Realm in the future? I cannot guarantee that I will be able to break through or possess enough strength to kill Zhao Guanbin,” said Lin Zheyu after a moment’s thought. He felt the old man had promised too casually, which left him uneasy.

”I simply like the look of you. It does not matter if you cannot kill Zhao Guanbin. I have no successor and no descendants. I cannot bury the knowledge my ancestors left behind in a coffin.

”If you cannot kill Zhao Guanbin, then carry on the fruits of my ancestors’ labor for me. Anyone who inherits it must take a venomous oath to kill that old thief Zhao Guanbin. If that old thief Zhao Guanbin dies, then slaughter all his kin and wipe out his nine generations! Well then, are you willing to swear the venomous oath? If you swear it, I will teach you,” said Chen Peijun with a smile.

”I will swear the venomous oath, but I will not take it on my parents or my master, ” said Lin Zheyu as he shook his head; that was his principle.

”Haha, I really did not misjudge you. Then swear the venomous oath on yourself. Make it crueler, saying things like sores on the soles of your feet, your buttocks oozing pus, birthing children without an anus, or dying a wretched death,” demanded Chen Peijun.

”Fine!” Lin Zheyu nodded. Having come this far, he no longer hesitated and swore plainly, ”I, Lin Zheyu, swear to heaven that when my strength grows strong enough, I will go and kill Zhao Guanbin.

”If I break this oath, may my soles be covered with sores, may my buttocks ooze pus, may the children I sire be born without an anus, and may I die a miserable death. Is that acceptable?”

After finishing the venomous oath, Lin Zheyu looked toward the old man Chen Peijun.

”Mm, that will do!” Chen Peijun chuckled and said, ”Come find me at my house tonight or tomorrow morning. For now, do not disturb my mood for fishing.”

Hearing this, Lin Zheyu could not help but grumble inwardly. This temperament was indeed somewhat similar to Master Liang Song’s.

”Then I will visit you tonight, no, tomorrow morning instead. If I come to your house then, you should be home, right?” asked Lin Zheyu.

That evening, he had already agreed to go to Senior Brother Han’s house for a reunion meal to celebrate the New Year together.

”Alright. I will wait for you at home tomorrow morning,” said Chen Peijun.

After fixing the time, Lin Zheyu took his leave. The matter had gone more smoothly than expected, and much of it had to do with Master Liang Song. Lin Zheyu had not expected such a coincidence; the poison expert he sought out actually knew Master Liang.

Liang Song was very mysterious. A master who had reached the third transformation of blood qi hiding in Songyi City would seemed unusual no matter how one looked at it.

Even Han Mo, who had trained under Master Liang for over a decade, knew very little about him. In Han Mo’s eyes, Liang Song was simply a secretive yet powerful old man.

No point in overthinking it. No matter what identity Master Liang has, he is still my master. Besides, he has no intent to harm me or my senior brothers. Otherwise, he would not have kept his identity hidden from us.

Lin Zheyu shook his head, unwilling to dwell on it further. After spending several months together, it was clear that Liang Song carried a sense of justice in his heart. He was a good man.

Liang Song valued temperament highly when taking disciples. This could be seen from Senior Brother Han Mo, who was honest, upright, and a genuinely kind man. Although he had yet to meet the few other senior brothers and sisters he had, they were likely also people of good character.

Seeking out Chen Peijun had taken quite some time, and with delays along the way, it was already past three in the afternoon.

Senior brother should be back by now, right? thought Lin Zheyu to himself as he headed straight toward Senior Brother Han’s house.

Knowing that Lin Zheyu was alone in Songyi City and might feel lonely during the New Year, Han Mo had specially invited him to his home to celebrate and share a reunion meal.

The streets and alleys were bustling all the way. Some had already begun worshipping the gods, praying that the wars would subside in the new year and that the weather would be favorable.

Han Mo’s home was not far from Baiwei Street; it was just three streets away. The Han residence was large, housing over 40 people, along with a number of maidservants, retainers, and guards.

As a centurion in the City Guard and someone likely to advance to the Blood Qi Realm in the future, Senior Brother Han was considered an important figure in Songyi City.

At the teahouse opposite the Han residence, two men sat by the window. The men was burly and muscular, clearly trained in martial arts, and not weak in strength.

”Brother, are we really going to act?” The man on the left frowned and said, ”If we make a move in the city, we will not be able to escape the authorities’ capture.”

”What is there to fear? If we die, we die. We have worthless lives. The Han bastards killed our father and dozens of our brothers. I want this family buried with our father!” said the other man coldly.

The two brothers were originally from Xingjiao City. After the rebel army captured Xingjiao City, they fled with their father to Songyi City. They settled outside Songyi City and made a living by hunting.

Later, hunting no longer sustained them, and they did not wish to wander anymore. Seeing others turn to banditry and prosper, they, along with their father and younger brother, used their strength to form a bandit gang.

Unexpectedly, before long, Han Mo led troops to wipe out their gang. Their father and dozens of companions died at Han Mo’s hands; the two brothers survived only by their father’s late help.

”Besides, the Xing Family has poisoned us, so our lives are under their control. What does it matter if we die, so long as we avenge ourselves before death?” said the elder brother, who snorted coldly.

As bandits ran rampant outside the city, Songyi City was strictly controlled, and strangers could not enter the city at all. At that time, the Xing Family found them and said they could give them a chance for revenge. If they wanted to survive after vengeance, they would have to join the Xing Family as death soldiers.

The brothers agreed without hesitation. They felt that if they refused, the Xing Family would kill them outright.

”But the Han household is so heavily guarded; sneaking in to kill someone will not be easy,” said the man on the left in hesitation.

”If we cannot sneak in, we will lie in wait outside. When someone from the Han residence comes out, we will seize the chance to kill them! Keep a close watch. Opportunities to strike will be few. When we act, aim for the Han bastard’s wife, children, and parents. I want him to taste the pain of losing his loved ones!” said the elder brother viciously with eyes full of hatred.

”Yes, big brother!”
