I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 155: Chapter 122: Yi Chen: You’re Not Suitable

”Whoa there, who are you baring your claws at!” Gu Nan scooped up a heavy, wet handful of sand and launched a sand attack.

A huge Sri Lankan mud crab was raising its large pincers, threatening the ”enormous” creature that had appeared before it. But then, its vision suddenly went dark, and it couldn’t see a thing.

In a panic, it immediately tried to scuttle sideways, but the next moment, its body was pinned down, leaving it unable to move.

Gu Nan knelt by the small hole, first pressing down on the crab’s body with both hands before grabbing the massive catch, which definitely weighed over five pounds.

’My luck’s not bad. I didn’t expect to find more than just Spotted Prawn Shrimp here.’

He had a big order from the Junhao Hotel, so he decided to look around first and search for more mud crabs.

He tossed the mud crab into his bucket, but surprisingly, it didn’t appear in the aquarium like the Spotted Prawn Shrimp had.

Just as he thought he couldn’t catch anything else and was stuck with only getting Spotted Prawn Shrimp, the game sent him a message.

It turned out that the contents would only be transferred to the aquarium when the bucket was nearly full. Gu Nan let out a sigh of relief.

The plastic bottles took up a lot of space, filling the bucket after just ten, which was why they were transferred immediately.

Gu Nan then began to scour the small island. He soon discovered a second hole, which held two large conches.

If he could sell it, he’d take it.

He spent half an hour circling the island with his small bucket, collecting about ten conches, each weighing over a pound.

He caught six mud crabs, but unfortunately, none were over five pounds. The smallest was a little over two pounds, while the largest were only three to four pounds. ’It’s clear that mud crabs over five pounds are a rare find!’

This was a substantial haul—an incredible one for a foraging trip.

But Spotted Prawn Shrimp were still the most abundant creatures here; a single pass around the island revealed holes everywhere.

After getting a feel for the situation, Gu Nan stopped looking for other things and focused solely on catching Spotted Prawn Shrimp with his air pump.

[Ding! Only five minutes of foraging time remaining. Please place your catch into the bucket and await teleportation.]

”Wait just because you say so?”

Gu Nan kept working. Half of the ten plastic bottles beside him were still empty. He completely ignored the game’s instruction to go back and wait.

However, he silently picked up his pace. In the final five minutes, he managed to fill the remaining bottles before quickly running over and tossing them into the bucket.

He made it. After waiting for about a minute, he was teleported out.

In his rental apartment, Gu Nan, who was lying in bed, suddenly opened his eyes.

The next moment, he couldn’t help but yawn. His Spirit felt drained, and he desperately wanted to sleep.

His foraging haul had all been sent to the aquarium. There were thirteen large conches, all over half a pound, with four of them weighing a pound each.

He had a total of seven mud crabs, but unfortunately, only one was over five pounds.

The rest were all Spotted Prawn Shrimp, exactly one hundred and thirty of them.

Thirty-six of them were as large as his forearm; these weighed almost a full pound.

The remaining ones were mostly over twenty centimeters long and weighed around half a pound.

The smallest group were those under twenty centimeters, only thirteen of them, which Gu Nan planned to eat himself.

As someone from a coastal area, he knew that while some people might not like fish, no one disliked expensive delicacies like these.

But he had to admit, the foraging mode was a fantastic cure for insomnia. After checking his haul, Gu Nan couldn’t fight it anymore and fell asleep.

The Jade Rabbit was about to set, and the Golden Crow had not yet risen.

Waking up from a deep sleep, Gu Nan found that it was only five-thirty in the morning, not even six yet.

But he wasn’t the least bit sleepy. On the contrary, his Spirit felt incredibly sharp.

Gu Nan was pleasantly surprised. He had slept for just over four hours last night, which was usually nowhere near enough for him.

’The foraging mode has this kind of unexpected little bonus?’

’Does this mean that if I go foraging when I’m tired in the future, I can recover quickly after a nap?’

’I’ll have to test that.’

As for last night’s catch, he left it in the aquarium for now. The weather wasn’t suitable for selling, so he would deal with it after the typhoon passed.

Gu Nan then got out of bed and opened the curtains to check the weather.

’If the weather’s bad, I’ll just stay in bed. If it’s good, I’ll head to the shop early today.’

Outside, the sky was filled with dark clouds. It was usually quite bright by five-thirty, but today it was dim.

However, it wasn’t raining, and the strong wind was only blowing in gusts. Schools might be closed under these conditions, but most companies and factories would likely still be open.

He figured Yi Chen would be coming to work too, so Gu Nan quickly got dressed, washed up, and headed out, sending her a text along the way.

”Yi Chen, are you up yet?”

”On my way now. This is rare, what’s got you up so early today?”

”I went to bed early last night. I’m leaving now to pick you up.”

”Okay, I’m on the road. You’ll definitely see me on your way.”

Slipping his phone into his pocket, Gu Nan went downstairs, started his electric scooter, and spotted Yi Chen halfway between the seafood market and her house.

”Boss!” The streets were empty so early in the morning. Yi Chen had been watching the approaching electric scooter, and when she realized it was him, she immediately waved.

Gu Nan made a U-turn and stopped beside her. He waited for her to get on, and just as he was about to start the scooter, he felt a soft warmth press against his back again.

’Maybe I shouldn’t buy a car after all?’

The thought flashed through his mind for a second before he immediately dismissed it.

’The car is for rainy days and trips into the city. For nearby places, the electric scooter is more convenient. I can keep enjoying this little perk.’

They first stopped at a breakfast shop to grab some food, then headed to the seafood store.

He opened the door, pushed the three-wheeled cart out, and positioned it right in the middle of the shop.

Before, when the storefront was smaller, the cart was always in the way, but things were much better now.
