The 99th Divorce

“Xiao, I am pregnant.” A soft, soft voice with a whimper.

He became stiff, and then was overwhelmed by the surprise. Turning around, Bo Xiao put his hands on the shoulders of Rong Anna, and there was a joy that could not be stopped. “Really? Anna, am I going to be a father?”

Rong Anna looked at him like this, chuckled, and nodded.

He laughed happily, holding her up with both hands. “Great! My Anna, my child, God, Anna, I am so happy!” Taking her face and kissing her hard, he said, “Anna, I feel I am so happy. I am going to be a father, we are going to be parents!”

Rong Anna saw the appearance of her fiancé, and the smile on her face expanded, but momentarily, her tears rolled down again. “Xiao, let’s go turn ourselves in, okay? We will give birth to the child, then…”

“Are you crazy? Anna?” Boss looked at her incredulously. “Turning ourselves in? We have to go to jail, and will probably face the death penalty!”

Rong Anna looked at him, and for a time she didn’t know what to say.

Clasping her shoulders with a serious face, he said, “Anna, we will be sentenced to death. You are pregnant. The lightest punishment will be life imprisonment. Why shouldn’t we avoid it? Why do we have to live so sadly?”

“Xiao…”

“Hush, Anna, you listen to me.” Bo Xiao looked at her, and his complex emotions were something Rong Anna could not understand. He grabbed her shoulder and whispered, “We must live proudly. We can’t live in China, so we will go abroad, Myanmar, Brunei, and even Vietnam. We can go to these countries. Be good, Okay?”

Rong Anna pursed her lips and cried out, “We are like this now. Where is any pride?”

“Yes!” He looked at her and said slowly, “With you, I have pride. With you, I can live. Let’s live together, let’s live proudly together, shall we? Take our child, our flesh and blood, and live together proudly, okay?”

Rong Anna looked at him, and the sadness was overflowing in her heart. However, seeing his face full of eager and pleading, she finally nodded and looked down. “Okay.”

One last day left for the national holiday, and tomorrow was the day to go to work. Yu Lili was helping Sister Qin in the flower shop and went back at 9 o’clock in the evening. However, just when she was about to go home by bus, she was stopped.

“Yu!” Familiar voice. Yu Lili turned to look. Li was sitting in the car, smiling and waving at her. “Come here!”

His car was not far away. It was a new BMW. It looked shiny and pretty.

Yu Lili was sore and tired. Seeing the man, she walked over with her purse. Just as she approached, he smiled. Yu Lili smiled and asked, “Mr. Li, such a coincidence?”

“Yeah, just drinking with some clients. I passed through here and wanted to take a look. Turns out you are actually still here. Let’s go. I’ll give you a ride,” Li said, pointing to the co-pilot enthusiastically.

She felt a little weird and said reluctantly, “You have just consumed alcohol. It’s not safe to drive, right?”

“I think so as well, or else, can you drive?”
