Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 1114: Chapter 201: Phoenix Arrival

The ball of light rapidly expanded in the air and then suddenly exploded amidst the terrified screams of the crowd!

No deafening noise, only a silent and dazzling golden explosion!

Countless fine, dangerous Time Particles, like dandelions blown apart by a fierce wind or a reverse-golden downpour, scattered downward towards the gathered crowd below, covering the sky!

”No—!”

”Get out of the way!”

”Iron Armor Spell!”

Exclamations, screams, and hastily cast Defensive Spell lights instantly intertwined and erupted!

The Judges who were orderly and imposing moments ago plunged into indescribable chaos and panic in an instant! Everyone scrambled desperately to dodge and defend themselves, fearing even a grain of golden dust touching them!

However, it was only then that everyone realized even Magical Defenses like the Iron Armor Spell had no effect on the golden powder; instead, it seemed to attract their interest.

Only wind or airflow and pure physical defense could stop these things.

Fontana waved his Magic Wand, and a whirlwind swirled around him and Laira. Looking up at the golden torrent, the gravity in his gaze finally revealed a ray of light.

At that moment, Fontana heard Laira’s voice:

”Don’t let him escape in the chaos, sir.”

”Don’t worry, he won’t get away.”

Fontana said calmly, spreading his arms like a symphony conductor, forcefully sweeping them—

Countless fine streams of golden light were forcibly extracted and gathered from all directions—from amidst panicked faces, raised hair tips, from the tips of waving Magic Wands, even from dust about to touch the ground!

Like rivers merging into the sea, these streams of light surged toward Fontana, ultimately condensing at the tip of his Magic Wand into a fist-sized globe of light once more.

The chaotic scene fell silent again as everyone turned to the small light ball, beyond fear and hesitance, there was mostly greed and desire.

At this moment, they seemed to understand Perez’s madness.

Time Magic truly is... extraordinarily enticing.

Amidst the surge of strange emotions, some noises were subconsciously ignored by the crowd—that came from intermittent sobs of their companions.

Amidst the Light Flow, not many Wizards managed to use the correct response to protect themselves on time.

Most of these Wizards were exceptional, privileged individuals who came here only to cheer for Laira and witness Hosone’s downfall, to satisfy hidden malice within.

Unexpectedly, even with Fontana and multiple Elite Aurors present, they faced such indiscriminate attacks.

Fortunately, the dust falling upon them was not much, and no one swallowed a large amount like Perez, so the changes occurring to them were not severe.

Some only seemed to slow down slightly, and some felt as if they grew younger, with a few less wrinkles on their faces.

But some unlucky ones, suddenly aged so drastically they couldn’t accept, resorted to crying and cursing.

Those muttering voices were quite muffled, whether cursing Hosone who wouldn’t surrender or Fontana who didn’t intervene timely is unclear.

...

As the crowd fell into chaos, Hosone had already dashed out, running more than ten meters until he finally felt the blocking force against Apparition had vanished!

The moment mustn’t be missed!

While Fontana gathered the light ball, Hosone, holding the baby, spun on the spot without hesitation—

”Pop!”

Space suddenly twisted and compressed!

At the moment his figure vanished, a fierce Stunning Spell struck the spot he just stood at, only to leave a pit in the ground and stir up dust to no avail.

”No—!!”

Rex Grim, still trying to get up, shouted while raising his Magic Wand, ”He escaped! Nikolo Hosone Apparated away!”

Those mesmerized by the light sphere were awakened, shocked to find Hosone indeed vanished, and noise erupted again.

A Pure-Blood Noble in the crowd immediately turned towards Fontana, defeated and angry, almost accusatory as he shouted:

”Headmaster Fontana! Why did you let him escape?! You clearly could...”

Fontana lowered his eyes, gazing at him, saying, ”Oh... I’ll stop Hosone, you catch this thing?”

The light ball drifted forward, the Pure-Blood Noble’s face showing joy and uncontrollable greed, taking a step forward only to see the light suddenly amplify several times, flickering as if about to explode!

Frightened, he backed away repeatedly, saying in panic, ”No, no, no... I can’t catch it, better you hold it... Sorry, I was too anxious! Even if Hosone escaped...”

Before the words could finish—

”Boom—!”

Space about six or seven meters away burst with a low sound like being ferociously torn apart!

Hosone, supposed to escape with Apparition, staggered out from the distorted air!

He kneeled with one knee on the ground, face pale. Seeing the crowd, he showed deep despair.

The baby in his arms could obviously not endure the intense discomfort from Apparition, crying loudly, the tender cries piercingly bleak in the night.

Laira’s eyes instantly shone, those around her quickly responded, raising their Magic Wands again, encircling closer.

Seraphina rushed forward rapidly, blocking Hosone and the baby, sternly saying:

”Anyone who wants to harm them can step over my corpse!”

”Step aside, Seraphina!” Laira snapped, ”Or don’t blame me for—”

”Then try to kill me!” The tip of Seraphina’s Magic Wand illuminated, ”Otherwise, I absolutely won’t let you!”

”Aunt—Laira—”

Stella had somehow rushed from the manor, happened to see them almost killing each other, crying and shouting:

”Stop it! What are you doing? We share the same blood! Why turn into this?!”

”Go back, Stella!” Seraphina shouted loudly, ”You shouldn’t be here!”

”Put Ezra down, Nikolo!” Fontana didn’t look at Picquery and the others, directly addressing Hosone, ”Do you want to kill him? He’s endured far too much, and it’s all because of you! For Ezra’s safety, hand him over to me. I can ensure he won’t endure any more harm!”

However, Hosone held tightly onto the crying baby, without loosening his arm even slightly.

He slowly stood up, despite his body trembling uncontrollably from pain, his eyes were like quenched cold iron, scanning the surrounding faces.

He could no longer easily trust anyone—whether it was a once-respected Headmaster, an aggressive political rival, or even Seraphina who was trying to protect them.

Trust, tonight, along with his position and honor, had been thoroughly shattered.

Transformed baby Hughes was his last responsibility, his sole unyielding resolve he couldn’t let go of.

Laira saw his expression, felt a shiver all over, suddenly casting a spell that abruptly knocked down Seraphina who was distracted by Stella.

She hesitated no longer, commanded sharply, ”Catch him, kill if necessary! Do you all have to wait until he attacks us again to make up your mind?”

The crowd hesitated no more, Magic Wands raised together, the sound of spells rang from all directions; Hosone gripped his Magic Wand, ready to fight to the death!

Even if it meant dying, he would take Laira down with him!

At this critical moment—

”Whoosh—!!!”

It seemed like the night sky was split by a ghostly blue lightning!

But it wasn’t lightning, it was fire!

A vast, magnificent, yet fiercely elegant ghostly blue flame, like a Phoenix spreading its wings, abruptly swooped down from high above, moving faster than the eye could capture!

It dragged a long burning tail feather, carrying the aura of all-consuming destruction, crashing into the densest part of the crowd surrounding Hosone!
