War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

‘I hope everything goes smoothly.’

After Duan Ling Tian left Huan’er in the Saint Province Realm, he did not immediately return to the Heavenly Pool Palace in the Boundless Heaven. Instead, he found a Transporting Formation and went to the Solitary Destructive Heaven. To be precise, he went to the Solitary Destructive Territory in the Solitary Destructive Heaven. The territory was the heart of the Solitary Destructive Heaven, and it was also where the Heavenly Emperor’s palace was located. His only purpose for coming here was to look for Feng Qing Yang, the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven!

“Although I obtained Senior Feng Qing Yang’s inheritance in the mundane realm, he’s a Heavenly Emperor now. I’m sure he has many disciples now. Perhaps, to him, I’m just a random person who inherited his legacy. Moreover, I’m the cause of him being hunted down and forced to escape to the Asura Hell. I don’t know if he blames me for that…”

Duan Ling Tian felt heavy-hearted when he arrived in the Solitary Destructive Territory. If it were not for the fact that it was too dangerous for him to save Huan’er’s parents, he would not look for Feng Qing Yang. He wanted to try his luck no matter what. After all, if Feng Qing Yang agreed to his request, Feng Qing Yang might be able to set Huan’er’s parents free with just a few words.

With Feng Qing Yang’s current strength, even the Heavenly Emperor of the Boundless Heaven would have to show a little respect to Feng Qing Yang, let alone the Palace Master of the Heavenly Pool Palace, a mere heaven-grade force.

‘For Huan’er’s sake, I must swallow my pride and look for Senior Feng Qing Yang.” Duan Ling Tian sighed inwardly. If it were not for the severity of the matter, he would be too embarrassed to seek help from Feng Qing Yang.

Following that, Duan Ling Tian began to ask for directions to the Heavenly Emperor Palace. It was such a well-known place so there would definitely be people who knew the location of the palace.

When Duan Ling Tian was about to stop someone to ask for directions, a thought suddenly occurred to him. ‘That’s right! How can I forget him?”

At this moment, Duan Ling Tian recalled Meng Hao Xuan who was the junior brother of Huan’er’s brother in the Heavenly Sword Mountain. Previously, before they parted ways, they had exchanged Soul Pearls. Therefore, it was not difficult for him to contact Meng Hao Xuan.

…

When Meng Hao Xuan first received a message from Duan Ling Tian, he was surprised. He stopped what he was doing and agreed to meet Duan Ling Tian in three days.

When Meng Hao Xuan saw Duan Ling Tian, he said enthusiastically, “Duan Ling Tian, I didn’t expect you to come to the Solitary Destructive Heaven so soon! What brings you here?”

Meng Hao Yuan was happy to see Duan Ling Tian. He truly admired this prodigious disciple from the Heavenly Pool Palace. Moreover, to a certain extent, he was only able to survive the Title Temple because of Duan Ling Tian.

Duan Ling Tian did not beat around the bush and said, “I’d like to go to the Heavenly Emperor Palace in the Solitary Destructive Heaven. Do you know where it’s located?”

Although Meng Hao Xuan was confused, he nodded. “I do. Why do you want to go to the Heavenly Emperor Palace? You must know not everyone can just enter the palace…”

Duan Ling Tian replied honestly, “I’m looking for the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven.”

“You’re looking for the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven?” Meng Hao Xuan was stunned. The Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven? Why was Duan Ling Tian looking for Lord Feng Qing Yang? When he regained his senses, he shook his head and said, “Duan Ling Tian, it won’t be easy for you to meet our Heavenly Emperor. Why do you want to look for him?”

“I’d like to ask for his help to save two people,” Duan Ling Tian replied, “You know one of them. He’s Lian Qiu, your Eldest Senior Brother!”

“Eldest Senior Brother?”

When Meng Hao Xuan heard Duan Ling Tian said he wanted to ask for Feng Qing Yang’s help to save two people, he thought Duan Ling Tian was too naive. Why would the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven concern himself with the affairs of a disciple from the Heavenly Pool Palace? Regardless of how talented Duan Ling Tian was, Duan Ling Tian would only invite disdain by acting in this manner. After all, it could be seen that he deserted the Heavenly Pool Palace for the Solitary Destructive Heaven. In other people’s opinions, if Duan Ling Tian could betray the Heavenly Pool Palace, he could betray the Solitary Destructive Heaven as well in the future. However, he did not expect one of the people Duan Ling Tian wanted to save was Lian Qiu, his Eldest Senior Brother.

“You…You want to save my Eldest Senior Brother?” Meng Hao Xuan asked in confusion.

Following that, Duan Ling Tian explained everything to Meng Hao Xuan.

“I see. I didn’t expect your partner to be Eldest Senior Brother’s daughter…”

Meng Hao Xuan did not think there was such a coincidence until today. As it turned out, the Heavenly Pool Palace’s prodigious disciple whom he met in the Title Temple. In fact, Duan Ling Tian could be considered his senior brother’s son-in-law. When he finally regained his senses, he shook his head and said with a bitter smile, “I understand your intention. However, it’d be difficult for you to obtain the Heavenly Emperor’s help. Perhaps, if you were a sectless cultivator, you could’ve offered to join the Heavenly Emperor’s force in exchange for his help. However, you’re already a disciple of the Heavenly Pool Palace. Regardless of your talent and aptitude, he won’t have high regard for you if you abandon the Heavenly Pool Palace to join him.”

“You… You think I’m planning to leave the Heavenly Pool Palace to join the Heavenly Emperor’s force in the Solitary Destructive Heaven?” Duan Ling Tian shook his head. He did not expect Meng Hao Xuan to arrive at this conclusion.

“Isn’t that the case?” Meng Hao Xuan was confused. Apart from this method, there was no way Duan Ling Tian would be able to get the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven to help him.

“Of course not.” Duan Ling Tian shook his head. “Although I only joined the Heavenly Pool Palace to save Huan’er’s parents, I have received a lot of warmth and care from my seniors after joining the Verdant Prairie Celestial Emperor Xu Lang. For that reason alone, I won’t easily betray the Heavenly Pool Palace.”

“However, how are you going to get our Heavenly Emperor to help you then? Perhaps, he would help you if he personally knew you. Although he can solve this matter with just a few words, it’s unlikely that he’ll simply help a stranger.”

Duan Ling Tian replied, “We come from the same mundane realm. I inherited his legacy and became his successor after joining his sect when I was in the mundane realm.

“I see.” Meng Hao Xuan nodded. After a moment, he added, “Duan Ling Tian, I still think it’s best to not place too much on this. After all, if Heavenly Emperors placed huge importance on their successors, they would personally bring their successors to the Devata Realms. He… Did he contact you?”

Duan Ling Tian shook his head

“Based on this, it’s possible that he doesn’t even know you exist or that you’ve inherited his legacy,” Meng Hao Xuan said bitterly.

“I don’t know why, but I feel like I have a chance. Didn’t you say he’s known as the Fog Rain Hermit? In our mundane realm, I was the successor of the Fog Rain Progeny.”

“He might have just used the nickname out of nostalgia.” Meng Hao Xuan was rather certain Duan Ling Tian did not have a high chance of succeeding.

Nonetheless, Duan Ling Tian’s eyes shone with determination as he said, “It doesn’t matter. I’d still like to try.”

“Since you insist, I’ll bring you there. It’s quite hard to find the place if you’ve not been there before even if you have the directions,” Meng Hao Xuan said.

The duo took flight immediately.

While they were flying, Meng Hao Xuan asked, “Duan Ling Tian, how’s my Eldest Senior Brother?” Duan Ling Tian had mentioned earlier that he had seen his Eldest Senior Brother in the Thousand Chains Prison after all.

“He’s alright. His strength has improved as well. Currently, he’s almost comparable to a titled Celestial Emperor,” Duan Ling Tian replied.

Meng Hao Xuan’s eyes lit up immediately upon hearing these words. “My master will be very proud when he hears about Eldest Senior Brother’s achievement… It’s a pity the Heavenly Pool Palace imprisoned him. We don’t even know when the Heavenly Pool Palace will release him…”

“I don’t think the Heavenly Pool Palace has any intention of releasing him.” Duan Ling Tian’s eyes shone with killing intent. If the Heavenly Pool Palace intended to release Lian Qiu at some point, they would not have tortured Huan’er’s mother to punish him. Based on this alone, it was clear that the Palace Master of the Heavenly Pool Palace and his daughter still held a grudge.
