War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

“Although it’s possible for you to lend the Five Divine Elements’ strength to others, they’d only be able to utilize less than 1% of our strength. Only the host is able to exert the full strength of the Five Divine Elements. Unless the host dies, and the Five Divine Elements acknowledge a new host, no one else can use the full power of the Five Divine Elements. Moreover, if your idea is possible, does it mean that someone who has evolved the Five Divine Elements to their highest forms and became a supreme powerhouse can lend the Five Divine Elements’ strength to another person to help them become a supreme powerhouse as well? Therefore, it’s impossible to lend our full strength to another person…”

Upon hearing the World Cleansing Divine Water’s words, Duan Ling Tian grew anxious. “Sister Water, do you have any other suggestions?”

“I do, but it’ll be very dangerous for you,” the World Cleansing Divine Water said.

“What is it?” Duan Ling Tian hurriedly asked as his eyes brightened. He did not care if it would be dangerous for him as long as there was a solution. As the saying went, ‘Fortune favors the bold.’ He had experienced many hardships from the time he was in the mundane realm and after he had ascended to a Devata Realm.

The World Cleansing Divine Water said without beating around the bush, “Release a few of the titled Celestial Emperors imprisoned on the third floor. In fact, if it’s possible, release all of them.”

Duan Ling Tian’s eyes widened imperceptibly upon hearing these words. Then, he said with a wry smile, “Sister Water, is that feasible? Even if I release them, could they really leave this place? Would they even listen to me? As Elder Xie said, the Thousand Chains Prison is different from what it was in the past.”

“The dangerous Formations in the Thousand Chains Prison are the Formation here in the prison and the one in the square in front of the Internal Affairs Pavilion. However, I can deal with both of them. You can tell them about this…”

Duan Ling Tian’s eyes lit up. Perhaps, he would be able to convince the titled Celestial Emperors to escape this place if he told them he had a way to deal with the two dangerous Formations in the Thousand Chains Prison.

At this moment, Elder Xie suddenly rang in the air.

“The prisoners here are all titled Celestial Emperors. As of today, we have six titled Celestial Emperors imprisoned here!”

They had finally arrived at the third floor of the prison. The prison here was different from the bottom two floors. The cells were more a cultivation place than a prison cell. To the naked eyes, there were no bars or anything on the cells.

Each cell had a person sitting cross-legged in it. There were an old man with messy greyish-white hair, a bald and burly man, a skinny old lady, and a young man.

When Duan Ling Tian and the others appeared, the bald and burly man opened his eyes and looked at them indifferently before he closed his eyes again.

Elder Xie said, “This bald man is the Touching Cloud Celestial Emperor. Previously, he killed two of our elders. Since our Palace Master couldn’t kill him, he was captured and imprisoned here instead.” After a brief pause, he continued to say, “All of the six titled Celestial Emperors here, including him, comprehended the law of earth. Therefore, their defenses are really strong. Although they specialized in defenses, it doesn’t mean their offensive strength is weak. They’re titled Celestial Emperors, after all, so their attacks can’t be that weak no matter what. For example, I’m sure you’ve noticed the difference in the cells here compared to the ones below. These cells are special and have special Formation to prevent them from breaking free. Normal cells can’t hold them captive at all. For people like Lian Qiu on the second floor who’s almost comparable to a titled Celestial Emperor, apart from the physical restraints, we have a slightly weaker Formation compared to the ones here restraining him as well…”

Following that, Elder Xie listed the crimes of the other five titled Celestial Emperors as well. All of them had either killed members of the Heavenly Pool Palace or provoked the Heavenly Pool Palace. Although the titled Celestial Emperors in the Heavenly Pool Palace were stronger than these titled Celestial Emperors, it was still rather difficult to kill them. For this reason, they were captured and imprisoned in the Thousand Chains Prison instead.

“Apart from that, the cells holding them cause their speed of absorbing the Heaven and Earth Spirit Energy to be incredibly slow. The cells also prevent them from comprehending profundities…”

Duan Ling Tian had studied the second floor of the prison earlier with his Divine Consciousness earlier. Now that he used his Divine Consciousness to check the third floor, he realized the cultivation restriction Elder Xie spoke of only existed on the third floor.

“Elder Xie, are these restrictions from the Formations on the third floor?” Duan Ling Tian asked despite knowing the answer to this question.

“That’s right. There are unique Formations here that prevent the titled Celestial Emperors here from growing stronger. There’s no shortage of talented prisoners. If they were allowed to grow stronger, it wouldn’t take long before they’re capable of escaping from the prison.”

Duan Ling Tian nodded.

“In fact, the prison is very secure; they wouldn’t be able to escape. Therefore, when you’re on duty, you can actually just find a place to cultivate. There’s nothing much you have to do… Once the time is up, you can just leave…”

“Alright.” Duan Ling Tian nodded.

…

After showing Duan Ling Tian and Huan’er around the Thousand Chains Prison, Elder Xie led the duo out of the prison.

Meanwhile, Huan’er was still overwhelmed by her emotions when they returned to the second floor.

Upon seeing this, Duan Ling Tian consoled her through Voice Transmission before he spoke to the World Cleansing Divine Water again. “Sister Water, can I help Huan’er’s parents to escape by sneaking them into my Little World? My Little World is special after all. Is there a way for them to avoid detection if they hide in my Little World?”

“If there’s a simpler way, I would’ve suggested releasing the titled Celestial Emperors on the third floor,” the World Cleansing Divine Water replied, “Although your Little World is special, the Thousand Chains Prison isn’t an ordinary prison. Moreover, the prisoners’ soul auras have already been recorded. Therefore, it’s almost impossible for them to avoid detection. From what I gathered, the only way is for you to release the titled Celestial Emperors.”

After a pause, the World Cleansing Divine Water continued to say, “However, like I said earlier, this method comes with a lot of risks and danger. It won’t take long for the Heavenly Pool Palace to find out that the prisoners have been released. If you’re exposed, you’ll be an enemy of the Heavenly Pool Palace. Don’t forget the blood ties between the Palace Master of the Heavenly Pool Palace and the Heavenly Emperor of the Boundless Heaven. Therefore, not only do you risk making an enemy out of the Heavenly Pool Palace, but the Heavenly Emperor’s force will certainly hunt you down as well…”

After listening to the World Cleansing Divine Water clearly analyzing the pros and cons, Duan Ling Tian fell silent. He did not tell Huan’er about his conversation with the World Cleansing Divine Water.

…

After leaving the Thousand Chains Prison, as Duan Ling Tian and Huan’er flew back to their cultivation place, Huan’er still failed to calm down. As soon as they arrived at their cultivation place, she broke down immediately. She could no longer hold back her tears, and let them stream down her face. A pained expression could be seen on her face as she said through her tears, “Brother Ling Tian, my mother… She suffered so much! I’m really useless; I can’t even do anything for her!”

At this moment, Duan Ling Tian slightly regretted his decision to bring Huan’er to the Thousand Chains Prison. He thought he should have gone alone instead. At least, he would be able to soften the blow for her.

“Huan’er, I have a way to save your parents,” Duan Ling Tian said as his eyes gleamed with determination. So what if he ended up making an enemy out of the Heavenly Pool Palace and being hunted down by the Heavenly Emperor’s force? He was not from the Boundless Heaven anyway. He had only come here to save Huan’er’s parents!

“Brother Ling Tian… Is that true?” Huan’er stopped crying as soon as she heard Duan Ling Tian’s words. Although she trusted Duan Ling Tian with all her heart, she could not help but ask this question.

“Huan’er, have I ever lied to you?” Duan Ling Tian asked with a smile.

Huan’er shook her head. The expression on her tear-stained face turned solemn as she asked, “Brother Ling Tian, how long do you plan to wait before executing your plan? If it’s too dangerous, I’d rather you take your time to grow stronger before we rescue my parents.”

After their trip to the Thousands Chains Prison, Huan’er was aware of the many obstacles that stood in their way. Although she had never doubted Duan Ling Tian, she did not want him to unnecessarily put himself in danger.

“Silly girl, what are you thinking?” Duan Ling Tian patted Huan’er’s head as he said with a smile, “When have I ever done something that has no chance of success? Don’t worry.”
