Under the glow of the sunlight, the castle looked breathtakingly beautiful. Especially the intricately designed gold-coated gate and railings, further accentuated the charm.

Hiro glanced at the venue from inside the car.

Today, he was here to attend the function organized by Mizuno. To commemorate his contract renewal, the brand organized a grand ceremony.

Well, he was their most prized individual.

However, Hiro didn’t think the ceremony to be held in such an extravagant place. The venue was grand, and Hiro could feel their intentions.

“They really went all out in their effort, didn’t they?” Pablo couldn’t help but comment. He was mesmerized by the effort put on by Mizuno. He could tell that they valued Hiro highly.

The car swerved inside the venue.

“Woah!”

As they entered the parking space, Pablo couldn’t contain his excitement. Seeing all those expensive-looking cars lined up, he couldn’t refrain from his excitement.

In the parking space, there were many expensive cars parked, every single one of them costing a fortune to buy.

Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, and many others.

While Pablo was parking the car, Hiro was receiving a grand welcome. Being the most important person at the event, he was getting swarmed by people.

Even the CEO of the brand had come out to welcome him personally.

Though the treatment he received was great, Hiro couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. This kind of lavish treatment, he wasn’t used to.

The venue was swarmed with reporters too.

He had to constantly pose for photos. He had to greet different individuals whom he didn’t even know of. To him, the whole thing was nothing but a hassle.

Finally, after a while, he could sit peacefully.

While some kind of announcement was taking place, Hiro could rest. Until now, he had been swarmed with people one after the other. This constant exchange of greetings had left him vividly exhausted.

“Huff! Just why do they need to exaggerate the signing?” Hiro let out an exhausted sigh as he slumped against the chair.

Before him, an announcer was making some kind of speech. However, he couldn’t care less about the ongoing announcement. He was too exhausted to listen to the speech.

Though he wanted to leave, he could tell that it would be a while before he could leave. Thinking about it made him further tired.

He couldn’t even spot Pablo.

He had left to park the car earlier. Hiro searched for him in the crowd and spotted him in a corner. It looked like he had been seated in that spot for a while now.

While looking his way, their eyes met.

Even though Pablo didn’t utter a word, Hiro could tell that he was telling him to enjoy the event. For a moment, it felt like Pablo was being sarcastic. It even seemed like he had been intentionally avoiding him for a while now.

Well, if he were in his shoes, he would have done the exact same thing— maintain a distance from the person at the center of attention. He wouldn’t want to get involved in the mess either.

So, Hiro couldn’t even blame him for keeping a distance from him.

“Now, I’d like to call the man of the event on the stage.” The announcer said.

Hiro knew they were calling him. It hadn’t even been that long since he sat down. Yet he was already being called on the stage.

Hiro felt rather hesitant to heed the call.

However, he couldn’t even ignore it. He had been told that the event would be a small one. Hence, he hadn’t even prepared much.

Upon having his name called, Hiro turned to look at the faces of the employees of Mizuno. Their faces were bright. Meanwhile, his face had turned dull from earlier exchanges.

After all, handling people wasn’t his forte.

‘I was tricked.’ Hiro thought as he recalled his earlier conversation with his manager. She had told him that the event would be a small one.

‘The event is anything but small.’

The moment he stood, the hall erupted in applause. The people there were eager for him. He had been evident of their eagerness the moment he had stepped inside the venue.

But now, even though he wanted to leave, he couldn’t even complain.

Hiro could only accept his fate and proceed with the event. Right now, he had become the center of attraction. His every single moment was being captured.

Hence, he had to maintain his composure even more. He couldn’t act out of place even if he didn’t feel like attending the event.

Slowly, he walked toward the stage.

The eyes of people followed him eagerly. The number of guests at the venue was decent. Though they weren’t great in numbers, they weren’t less in numbers either.

Each of them had dressed exquisitely. From their appearance alone, Hiro could tell that these people were some of the important figures in the organization.

He could recognize a few. However, most of them remain a mystery to him. Though they introduced themselves, Hiro couldn’t be bothered to remember every single one of them.

He only remembered the ones he felt like remembering.

Hiro took the microphone. Grabbing the microphone, he swept his gaze through the crowd. He could spot the eagerness and anticipation in their eyes.

The top staff of the organization looked excited, their eyes beaming with excitement.

He was asked to speak a few words. However, he couldn’t think of anything. He hadn’t prepared any speech in advance.

Heck! He didn’t even know the event would be this grand.

“I’m grateful to be part of the Mizuno family. And I’m thankful to the people who have made this signing happen. I’m also thankful to everyone who has come here for their support

today.”

Since he couldn’t think of anything, Hiro decided to express his gratitude instead.

After Hiro stepped down, the CEO of the organization took over the microphone. He immediately began to express their excitement about renewing his contract.

“Finally, to commemorate Hiro’s contract renewal, I’d like to present him a little gift,” the CEO who was a rather old man said.

Hiro felt perplexed listening to the announcement. He didn’t know he would be receiving a gift. He hadn’t even expected it. After all, the terms of the contract were already too good to

be true.

So, he hadn’t expected much from the company.

However, upon hearing about the mention of the gift, Hiro couldn’t help but feel curious as

well. He wondered what gift he’d be receiving.

The curiosity didn’t last long as the CEO revealed the gift.

The gift was a black McLaren 720.
