Emperor’s Domination

“Old man, don’t you know I spoke with good intention?” The baldy grabbed his head.

“My hand was itchy, that’s all.” Li Qiye rubbed his palms: “And it’s still itching.”

“High Heaven! What did I do wrong in my past life to justify such suffering?!” The baldy shouted at the sky.

“Call out all you want, the high heaven can’t save you.” Li Qiye said.

“Old man, has anyone told you that you’re a bastard?” The baldy became irritated.

“Yes, he did earlier.” Li Qiye patted Origination’s shoulder.

“You two can keep going.” The old man smiled wryly and sat back down. He then told the baldy: “He’s right though, not even the high heaven can save you.”

“Is there no justice in this world?” The baldy asked.

“I am justice, hence the gap between you and me.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Please.” The baldy glared at him impatiently: “Don’t compare, got it? I’m not a vain person, I don’t need to compete with anyone. Competing with myself is enough, others have nothing to do with me.”

“You’re far off from being able to compete with yourself.” Li Qiye said slowly.

“Bullshit! Far off where?” The baldy turned red.

“With conditions this perfect, even someone brain-dead could reach your level.” Li Qiye said lazily.

“Old man, that doesn’t even make sense. Someone as great as me couldn’t have been born brain-dead. Plus, if you are putting me down, you are putting yourself down, birthing a brain-dead son given all your perfect conditions.” The baldy retorted.

“You are really wanting a lesson.” Li Qiye pulled up his sleeves.

“Old man, you need to start acting like a true immortal if you’re one. Need to be more magnanimous and benevolent, especially against someone lesser like me.” The baldy said.

“So you do know.” Li Qiye remarked.

“So what? I can still be used for many things. Everyone is equal beneath the high heaven.” The baldy said.

“Then strive to be above.” Li Qiye said.

“Bah, it makes no difference whether I’m below the high heaven or below you.” The baldy said: “We’re all blocks of wood, even the most beautifully carved sculpture. Suffering the countless cuts to reach that level doesn’t change the fundamentals. It’s better to do nothing like me.”

“Rotten wood can’t make a sculpture.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“It’s not the wood’s fault, the wood should be relaxing in a tranquil forest. Why do you wish to change it into a sculpture? The fault lies with you.” The baldy said.

“You have plenty of twisted logic.” Li Qiye smiled.

“And you’re just too overbearing. You can’t ask everyone else to become true immortals. I, on the other hand, am sacrificing myself for the greater good. Having two true immortals is just too much for this world, it needs a great lover such as myself instead.” The baldy said.

“Well, I just don’t think you can become a true immortal even if you want to.” Li Qiye said.

“Don’t tempt me, I’ll really do it.” The baldy pulled up his sleeves.

“I’m waiting.” Li Qiye stared at him.

“…” The baldy paused for a moment.

“Still waiting.” Li Qiye continued.

“Forget it.” The baldy rolled down his sleeves and said nonchalantly: “A great lover such as myself can forgive your nonsense. The mortal world is great, I’ll just stay a mortal to avoid harming it.”

“I’m a mortal.” Li Qiye said.

“Bah, you returned to mortal origin, there’s a difference.” The baldy said.

“Only a thin line.” Li Qiye said.

“This thin line makes one a true immortal, enough to wrap around all of Heaven Realm.” The baldy said: “Enough for one to work their whole life towards it, not me though.”

Li Qiye smacked his bald head again.

“You have to stop hitting me so often, don’t make me angry enough to fight back.” The baldy said.

“Go for it.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Forget it, I’m not going to feed into your competitiveness. That’s the difference between a good person and a bastard, I prefer peace over pettiness.” The baldy said.

“You prefer talking nonsense over being productive.” Li Qiye smacked his head again.

“I’m done arguing with you, old man. Go to Ancient World’s Timeflow Firmament for the information.” The baldy angrily left.

“Leaving already?” Li Qiye shouted.

“This young noble will not stoop down to the level of a country-bumpkin bandit.” The baldy shouted back before disappearing.
