Emperor’s Domination

As the duo’s conversation came to an end, a baldy entered the hall.

“Oh, old man, you’re here too.” The baldy happily smiled.

“You’re just in time, we’re talking about how I’m going back to farming. I will have to leave my business in your care.” The old man said.

“Please, I’m just a small-timer who is barely getting by, I can’t accept your big store.” The baldy jumped backward in refusal.

“Barely getting by? Your store is bigger than mine now so if you’re barely getting by, I would need to beg on the street.” The old man chastised him.

“Hahaha, don’t be angry.” The baldy smiled: “Your golden reputation far exceeds my short-term success. It is as eternal as heaven and earth while my store is only an ephemeral firefly.”

“Don’t think my store is good enough for you?” The old man glared.

“Of course not. We’re practically family, you taught me how to be a businessman, the reason for the success of my little store. You were a great teacher.” The baldy said.

“Look at the sly tongue on this one.” The old man couldn’t help but smile.

“I wouldn’t dare lie in front of you.” The baldy smiled.

“Well, I’m not playing around. You are more suitable than anyone else for this.” The old man said seriously.

“You think too highly of me then, I only did business since it was convenient, I know how capable I am. Given my lazy nature, I’ll round up all the treasures and run one day.” The baldy said: “I appreciate your love but the responsibility will crush me.”

“This personality…” The old man didn’t know what to do.

“You know me, I like to be free and idle, so I’m sure there are better successors around than me. Plus, you are still vigorous and can live another trillion years without a problem. In fact, you might have to take over my store.” The baldy said.

“What are you trying to do?” The old man asked.

“This has never been a long-term plan for me, I only wanted to gather a few things. Now that I’m done, it’s time to retire. Don’t say no just because my store is small, you have to help me.” The baldy said.

“Now you want me to take over your store?” The old man didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

“Well, given our close relationship, what yours is mine and what mine is yours, right? Since that’s the case, you should be fine keeping an eye on my store too, it won’t take too much effort since it’ll keep on operating.” The baldy grabbed the man’s shoulder and acted cute.

“In your dream.” The old man shook his head.

“Just agree and I can rest assured to do my own thing.” The baldy said shamelessly: “Since you’re not refusing furiously, I’ll take it as a yes. I know just how much you love us juniors and can’t bear to watch us stagnate and suffer.”

“You brought this upon yourself.” The old man said.

“Please don’t be so cruel and subject me to a lifetime of work.” The baldy begged.

“Are you well prepared?” The old man asked.

“Not quite, but close enough.” The baldy stared at Li Qiye and smiled: “Look, the old man is almost done too. I’ll be done after him, just a few more items.”

“You are so far away, no chance at all, so you have to keep trying.” Li Qiye remarked.

“Old man, I don’t appreciate your disdainful tone.” The baldy glared at him.

“I can’t take the current you seriously.” Li Qiye said.

“I can’t take how pitiful my fate is, to be related to you.” The baldy said dejectedly.

“Then scram.” Li Qiye waved dismissively.

“Fine, what’s the big deal?” The baldy glared at him before leaving.

At the door, he stopped and looked back: “Old man, there’s something I forgot to tell you.”

“What?” Li Qiye’s brows furrowed.

“Your saber and sword maids are missing.” The baldy said.

“Missing.” Li Qiye repeated.

“People couldn’t find them but I’ve received news, you’d best hurry before it is too late.” The baldy said.

“Too late?” Li Qiye frowned.

The baldy became startled and came over to pat Li Qiye’s chest: “Okay, okay, old man, don’t be angry. You’re too old to act all murderous now, don’t bring Heavenrealm down with your rage over something so minor.”

“I’m angry because of you.” Li Qiye smacked his head.

“Damn, I shouldn’t have said anything, who knows if you will go crazy or not and destroy this world?” The baldy leaped back and glared at him.

“So be it, I’ll just make another.” Li Qiye said casually.

“Hey, hey… don’t be like that. It’s not a joke because you can do it.” The baldy said.

“Of course, not difficult at all.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Damn, people were right, this world shouldn’t have immortals, especially a true immortal like you, shit.” The baldy cursed.

“I started this phrase.” Li Qiye gave him a sidelong glance.

“…” The baldy smiled wryly and said: “Then you understand. Why are you still here?”

“To teach you a lesson.” Li Qiye smacked his bald head again.
