In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL]

”Maybe.” Kamille was not certain and agreed to that explanation for now.

Rise was also not fixated on this too much, as everything could happen. He also stopped relying on that book. He wanted to ruin it from the start, so every scene that might appear was not reliable.

The two continued with their journey of taking over gates and locations with significant value. Along the way, they encountered natives and even espers, but none approached them.

It was because of Baby, the behemoth. Everyone avoided the monster, and so no one noticed the two people at its back.

While the two were busy with their side of the plan, the new subordinates finally spread out and did their missions.

It was crucial, and Rise expected that once they returned, everything would be ready.

The Central City and the Three Nations had now called for an assembly; every clan leader and leader of an organization was required to attend.

This was the first time in years that the leaders of the Three Nations had been united. Despite almost half of Central City now destroyed, they still want to convene the meeting in this location.

It had more to do with the meeting related to it.

When the leaders thought that the clan leaders might hesitate and not accept the invitations, they were quite surprised that everyone agreed to attend.

”Of course, they will attend. Those stubborn bunch hate us, but not this world.” One of the leaders of the Three Nations nodded.

”What you said makes sense,” the other agreed.

Everyone here was convinced that the clans were the ones who advocated for the union of all nations. No one suspected of any conspiracy at all.

”Then, we can only wait.” Someone from the high seat clasped his hands. Afterward, he clicked his tongue. ”Is it confirmed that... His Excellency left?”

At the critical juncture of their plan, the noble they were relying on suddenly disappeared.

Everyone hesitated. They were also not sure about that.

Yet, no one believed that he was dead either. There was no way the outsiders could kill him... No way.

They were already terrified and so wanted to convene everyone in case the outsider targeted them. This was also the reason that they had yet to give an order of all-out war, despite every citizen urging them to take revenge.

This pressure was nothing compared to the terror of some outsider able to defeat a noble count.

”We can only hope... everyone’s power is enough.” They sighed and dismissed.

After all the scheming, in the end, none of them won. What shit luck they had.

The tension rose in the central city; even the espers refrained from going near them and chose the faraway dungeons and locations.

Their luck was not better either. No clans let them enter their city at all. Their attitude suddenly changed, and they blamed the idiot who destroyed the city.

The previous resets, the espers of their world actually had a lot of harvests on these clans. After all, they had centuries of legacy, if not a thousand, compared to their world. Now, it was out of the question.

Rise was not generous, a very well-known fact.

The security around Central City heightened. The clan leaders and their entourage slowly arrived one after another. This was an unprecedented event in history.

Since when did the clan leaders and the Three Nations hold a meeting like this? The whole city was in an uproar and hopeful for the future.

Most of the citizens of the Three Nations supported the unification, but their voice was not loud enough. With what happened... Maybe this dream would be realized after all.

”Why do they seem to have brought every strong combatant of their clan?” Someone noticed from the side of the three nations, particularly the one that occupied the Central City.

The others noticed it too. Some even saw famous individuals in the entourage whose names resounded at every corner of the world.

”Of course, they are clan leaders. They don’t trust us, so they bring guards for their safety... even if it’s a little excessive.”

”That makes sense.” They were very aware of the way they treated the clans, so the two sides never interacted ever since the clans secluded themselves again.

”But still raise your guard. With every force here... You’ll never know.” Some dismissed this idea, while others became thoughtful.

No one focused on it, and the meeting was still the focus. More and more forces arrived.

The whole city became the most dangerous place in the world, and the government advised the espers to return or never approach the city. It was like a powder keg was in the air; the oppressive atmosphere also dampened the mood of the once-celebrating citizens.

”Clan Leader, they already arrived.”

”Hmm.” He arched his brow, his fan covering his face before he closed it and narrowed his eyes. His intricate robe and well-styled hair indicated that he came from an aristocratic background.

Who else? Of course, it was Sania.

”Who would have thought... our unification truly draws near.” There was a kind of disbelief in his tone, but more so uncertainty.

Even when days passed since the contract, Sania did not know if this path was truly the correct one. However, with how things were going, the dream they thought was impossible might actually be realized.

He remembered what Zarilan said...

If they and their could be saved, he could bow even to a demon.

Sania gripped his fan and sighed.

I hope so... He mumbled inwardly.

In a way, the Three Nations holding hands with a noble was in the same vein, even if they only thought of themselves and not the world.

Once survival was already at stake, choosing themselves was always a logical reason, morality aside.

The important event was slowly closing in.

The Lionheart clan also arrived and met the Silverfeather clan at the gates. The two greeted each other before they entered the city.

Time left before the unprecedented takeover: 72 hours.
