In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL]

But Rise found himself smiling and nodding his head. He did not have any hesitation as he agreed. If what they needed to do was kill the other party to clear and leave this gate, then they only had to do it.

Rise had no qualms, even if he was also the Kamille of this world. If he was real or an illusion created by the gate. What mattered to him was the Kamille of his world, no one else.

He reached out and clung to Kamille again, and grinned at him.

”Let’s go, kill whoever that fellow is!” His enthusiasm also held the unspoken message and assurance.

He was not confused and would not be.

Kamille seemed to have understood his meaning. The dangerous aura around him lessened somewhat. He responded with a nod, resolve gleaming in his eyes.

Oh well, Kamille was pissed off, alright?

After glancing with Thalia and the others one last time, the two continued walking towards the entrance not far away from them.

Rise did not have much affection for the Thalia in this world, but deep inside, he also wished and prayed... her end would not be as tragic. Even if that was his only wishful thinking.

With the last sigh, Kamille and Rise glanced at each other and nodded. Soon, their feet entered the dark abyss, which was ready to devour them at any moment.

Rise was on high alert; his ability was now on display. The act of being a weak prince did not even last a day. Well, he could do that, but the situation clearly emphasized otherwise.

They were about to confront a possible Kamille Han! And one, who was a noble for some reason. He had to be on guard. Rise was well aware of how powerful Kamille was.

The discomfort of entering the entrance did not last long, but it indeed felt different. It did not have a dizzying effect of entering a normal gate, but his skin felt hot, and the burning sensation spread through his being.

And sure enough, as his vision returned, the scene of devastation was fully revealed. Rise expected a dark cave area or something based on the entrance, yet it exceeded his expectations.

Rise momentarily paused, his gaze swept around. His heart then pounded as he blinked in shock.

Wait... this feels familiar...

Rise could not help but think of that vision he had first seen when he first entered the mutated gate before he woke up.

The shattered sky and the massive whirlpool that extended to it from the ground. The black fires are everywhere, continuing to destroy everything in sight.

The ruins and corpses were scattered for as far as their eyes could see. And at the center of it all, one structure was the only one standing.

While it was also ravaged by the fire and the wind that sharply swept the world, the overall building was still intact. Rise could recognize it, whatever it looked like.

The Dark Crimson Guild Headquarters.

Everything was the same as he saw. This was the scene he thought Kamille did after he died in his past life. Was he wrong after all? But... what did this mean?

Rise became confused all of a sudden. Then, what timeline was this if all this was real? Was it possible that his past life was not the first?

His thoughts were then cut off as he felt a massive mana fluctuation. Stunned, he turned to look at Kamille. His expression was dark, but there was also slight confusion within it.

”Guiild Leader...” Rise called, hesitating. He squeezed the other’s arm to get his attention.

Kamille stiffened and slowly turned and meet Rise’s worried gaze.

Rise’s mouth parted, wanted to say something, but for some reason, he struggled with that, too. What should he say? That all of this real, and only an illusion?

The problem was, he was also not convinced by the words he was about to utter. He was also not sure if what he was seeing was not real.

Kamille exhaled. His expression was still dark and somehow out of it, but softened significantly.

”Let’s see.” Kamille shifted his gaze again and murmured. ”What made him this mad?”

Rise pursed his lips. He also understood the underlying meaning in his words.

Kamille was curious who was capable of making himself this way. The evidence that all of this was his doing was clear to see.

His oblivion fire ravaging the land and sky was the evidence.

Rise did not say anything and did not assume. Yet, his heart was also screaming for the possible reason. Although, believing it was another matter.

After all... he too, was not sure.

The mana fluctuation shifted again, and as an earthquake swept through everything. The black fires seemed to roar as if going crazy, as their owner and spread once more.

The fire surrounding the two only surrounded them but did not attack. Rise did not know if this was Kamille’s doing, but it seemed so.

Rise searched for that one figure he saw in the vision.

Epsilon.

The one impaled on the ground by the massive whirlpool. He was on high alert. If possible, he wanted to shield Kamille and not let the two meet.

Rise did not know what Epsilon’s effect was yet to Kamille, besides being the male lead dictated by the author.

To his relief and confusion, there was no one there!

Epsilon was nowhere to be seen! Although the whirlpool and the supposed earth crack where he was were there!

Where did he go? Or... was this place just a manifestation of that vision, not the real one?

Suddenly, Rise had to stop thinking and call for Kamille.

”Guild leader!” His voice carried his panicked tone.

Kamille also sensed it immediately, and he shielded Rise. The wind surrounded them, and their body were already in mid-air. The floor where they stood shattered, and debris flew.

”Hold tight!” Kamille shouted.

The assault did not stop there; the mana surged, and the fire around them seemed to become alive as it followed them. Rise watched as the familiar black fire became aggressive towards them, ready to devour them.

What the hell?

Kamille flew while escaping the fire that followed them. The wind also roared and acted up. Fortunately, Kamille’s control did not diminish. The problem was the hellfire!

Their situation remained precarious. They had yet to see the enemy, but they were already in this situation.

Somehow... Rise realized that the Kamille they were about to face was the version from years later! The more powerful Kamille Han! Shit! And he was insane too!

”Fuck!” Rise cursed and activated his ability; the pressure descended, and the debris floating around dropped instantly.

Actually, he knew that his ability stood no chance against Kamille. If anything, it would make the hellfire more intense and spread faster.

Sure enough, as if the master of the fire became pissed off, the fire suddenly grew to be like a massive behemoth, and its mouth roared.

Rise’s eyes widened, and he cursed again. He also felt Kamille tense, but held Rise tighter and continued to use the wind to escape.

He was about to call Kamille’s name again when he saw the behemoth multiply, but a call stopped him.

Rise stiffened, and so was Kamille. Both stopped.

Everything seemed to have stopped after a familiar voice rang.

”Rise...”

The familiar name uttered by a familiar voice, in an unfamiliar tone.

Subconsciously, Rise turned his head and landed on the person who called him.

There, floating in midair as the behemoth surrounded him like the demon king he was. His terrifying crimson eyes, devoid of any white, stared at Rise.

Kamille Han... the terrifying version of his beloved.
