Please wait for a while for the calculations of the rewards for each player. Players are now able to return to Abyssal City.

For the newbie players, Welcome to the Abyssal World. An infinite world of horror and thrills. In this world, everything can be bought with gold coins. If you have enough money you can get anything you want.}

As soon as Han Ya and Sui Rou killed the NPC Boss the Movie had finally reached an end. The world announcement was heard by all players in the game mode and all the viewers on the playerʼs streaming platforms. The movie venue started to distort and the whole place was covered in black fog. Before the players could react they were teleported to some other place instead.

All four of them were transported to the Central Game Station where most players would go to choose what game they would be playing next. The Game Station is separated into levels: Beginners or Newbies would appear in the Green Zone. Expert Gamers would appear in Blue Zone and Veterans in Red Zone. Only the top 10 can enter the Black Zone.

Sui Rou who is one of the Top 10 appeared in the Black Zone. She immediately got separated from the other three who are classified as Newbie Players.

Groggily opening her eyes, Sui Rou found herself in her private game room in the Black Zone. She could still feel some remnant curse debuff on her after getting possessed.

”Manager Gou, redeem a bottle of Holy spring water for me and give me the rundown of my rewards”

[Sure thing! Here you go, Rourou.]

A bottle of water emitting a golden light appeared out of nowhere. Sui Rou didnʼt waste any more time and drank some. The sound of sizzling comes from her body as a black mist comes out from her. Only then did she feel that the heaviness in her body faded. She even pukes some black matter. The spring water with holy elements cost 300 gold coins a bottle. It can be used for purification for curses and poison. But it is only useful for low-level curses and debuffs.

Sui Rou spoke, ”I did not expect to be the only one to fall in possession. Though I knew that Player Hei and Player Han wouldnʼt get possessed, who would have thought I would be the one to fall instead of a blind man. That Player An isnʼt an ordinary player at all. He had never shown fear in the presence of Player Hei.”

Manager Gou said, [Maybe because he canʼt see?]

”Stupid. You saw how Player Hei looks. Anyone who saw him would be fascinated at first instead of fearing him. Iʼm talking about that unapproachable and cold aura on him. You donʼt need to see as long as you can feel it. Blind people were even more sensitive towards those things.” said Sui Rou.

[But he canʼt even see! How could he have judged him?]

”I noticed that he had a special skill which wasnʼt too noticeable,” said Sui Rou as she pointed to her ears. ”Player Anʼs sense of hearing is top-notch. Except for him, no one was able to catch the footsteps of that shadowy figure that took possession of my body. Even Player Han Ya who was beside him at that time didnʼt notice. Though I am not sure about Player Hei. He had been treating everything as entertainment the whole time.”

[Rourou, do you think itʼs a skill?]

”He is a newbie. There is no way he could buy a skill book as those were so expensive. His hearing must be something he is born with.” said Sui Rou. ”Sigh* for now there is nothing we could do. Manager Gou please tally my rewards.”

[Your rewards this time are too little. But since itʼs a beginner mode I guess thatʼs normal.

Main mission completed. 3000 gold coins plus a skill book. Skill Book random ticket.

Side missions:

You had killed 50 monsters in the movie. Reward: 500 gold coins.

You had killed two players. Reward - 200 gold coins.

You have killed the Boss NPC. Reward 1000 gold coins.

Accumulated rewards: 4700 gold coins and 1 skill book random ticket.

Congratulations on completing Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, a Role-playing game.

You have failed to complete the hidden mission: Perfect Movie.

Penalty: Half of the rewards.

Total rewards: 2000 gold coins and Skill Book Ticket random.

The extra 700 gold coins were taken off to keep the ticket rewards.]

Sui Rou was a bit disappointed with the ending but it is better than falling to the punishment massacre mode which is like hell to the players.

[So many were taken off. Rourou~]

”It is better than failing the main mission. I do not want to enter the massacre mode during this time,” said Sui Rou.

[Right. Your injuries from the last Black Game havenʼt completely healed yet. What do you want to do now? Rest for a while?]

Sui Rou nods, ”Yes. Let me rest for three days. By the way, what happened to those guys?”

KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.

Her words were cut off when she heard someone knocking in her game room. There was a serious expression on her face as she pulled out her dagger. His vigilance was put on the highest as she was currently in the Black zone. This is after all the most dangerous place in the whole Abyssal game station.

Sui Rou whispered, ”Manager Gou, please check who it is?”

[Let me check. Hm? Eh!!! Fuck! Why is this bigshot here! Damn!]

”Who is it?!” asked Sui Rou. Even she was frightened by her managerʼs words after all in the whole top 10 list. She is ranked 5th. Only 4 are ahead of her and three are stronger than her. The fourth-ranked player had as much strength as she had.

[I-Itʼs that person! ITʼS LORD ABYSS!]

”Abyss?! Why is he here!?” said Sui Rou.

Another round of knocking was heard and this time a husky and deep voice can be heard beyond the door.

Knock. Knock.

Abyss said, ”I know youʼre in there. Open the door and pay for the skill scroll my wife bought for you. Itʼs 500 gold coins.”

[Skill Scroll? Wife??]

Only then did they remember the scene between this man and Player Hei. Because his personality is too different from his ruthless reputation from before, these two had unconsciously erased that scene in their heads. They could still recall this cold-faced man hugging Player Hei Anjing looking so reluctant to let go of him.

Abyssʼs voice was once again heard outside the room.

”Open the door and pay. I still need to look for my wife after.”

Only then did Sui Rou open the door. As soon as she pulled the door open, the overly refined and handsome face of Lou Yan appeared before her. His thin lips were pursed in a horizontal line. His downcasted eyelids made him look fierce yet lazy but those pairs of monotonous irises can give one a chill in the spine when meeting them.

Having two different eye colors is rare even in reality but this uniqueness just made Lou Yan look more mysterious. Paired with his dangerous aura and sharp gaze everyone could see that he isnʼt a person to get involved with unless one wants to die. Sui Rou stretched a trembling hand and gave the 500 gold coins she owes.

Sui Rou said, ”H-Here”

As soon as he took back the coins, Yue took charge of it and he left without saying another word. His usual comrade the top 2, Reaper, was not with him. She only overheard them talking.

Lou Yan spoke, ”Yue, Whereʼs my wife?”

[Lord Hei had just appeared in the green zone. Theyʼve just come out like Player Sui Rou just now. Actually, the lord doesnʼt need to go to the Green Zone at all. You had signed the shared contract with Lord Hei and would definitely be pulled in all his games.]

”No more talk. Iʼm going there because I want to see him regardless. By the way, where is Reaper?” asked Lou Yan, he finally noticed that his direct subordinate was missing.

[The reaper had gone out to look for his partner. They would be joining the lord in the next game and would like to sign the same contract with the rest of the team.]

Lou Yan said, ”He had a lover? Donʼt tell me itʼs that mad doctor from before?”

[It is him.]

”Whatever. As long as I can see my wife. Teleport me now, Yue.”

[As you wish, My lord.]

Only then did the figure of Lou Yan disappear in the black zone together with System Yue. Sui Rou and the other players in the Black Zone were shocked to see the biggest boss of their zone leaving this place to go to the lowest zone.

Ranked 3rd player, Miss Mystic asked, ”What did I just hear? Wife!? That demon has a wife!!? Black Widow! Share the gossip!”

Ranked 4th player, Jackal spoke, ”Who is blind enough to marry that demon???”

”Hey! Jackal~ watch your words. What if the demon lord heard about it and you get beat up again~” said the ranked 6th player known as Magician.

Butcher, the 7th ranked player, spoke, ”Hmp! If his wife is a mere Green Zone player would he have to protect her all the time!? How useless!”

”It is not her. Iʼve seen the live stream of his so-called wife. Itʼs a man.” said the ranked 8th player, Dreamer.

A disgusted look appeared on the 9th ranked female player, Foxy, and said, ”Fuck! Gays!! Donʼt us ladies have the right to have handsome men!!!”

”What are you complaining about? Your first crush is that Reaper but he is interested in a male doctor in the Red Zone then you change target to the big boss. In the end, he is also a married man. How lucky of you~ hahaha.” said the 10th player known as Lucky.

Finally, the 5th ranked player l, Black Widow finally spoke and said, ”You havenʼt seen his wife yet? Be careful not to look down on him too much or youʼll lose your heads! Hmp!” She then slammed closed his game roomʼs door leaving a group of speechless and curious people outside.

Everyone thinks as one: ʼFor real!!?ʼ

---

On the other hand at the Green Zoneʼs Game Station. Players Hei Anjing, Han Ya, and An Yuan had suddenly appeared in the open station together with the other newbie players. But unlike the other new players, they were unexpectedly unharmed except for some dust on them. Among the three only Hei Anjing was completely clean from head to toe. It is as if he was just here for a vacation even holding a large cup of cola in his hand currently sipping it.

Slurps~

Their surroundings were full of players. There are so many players surrounding the central station wanting to fish for fresh blood to join their agencies. But most of the players that had appeared in the center were either half dead. Missing an arm, lost an eye or ear and some even arrived dead.

Only a few rare and capable players like Han Ya and the rest caught everyoneʼs attention. While looking around the sounds of painful cries and groans can be heard all over the place but despite that Hei Anjing and the rest were expressionless at this scene.

Hei Anjing spoke, ”So what should we do next?”

Slurps~

He was asking everyone on the team but his tone is so relaxed as if asking what is for dinner tonight kind of question. His devil may care attitude caught everyoneʼs attention. Now all eyes had fallen on their group. Whether those gazes are full of malice, interest, or curiosity, all of them were staring at their small group of three.

System Yang spoke, [For now, letʼs tally the rewards for the whole group and individually. After that, the other managers can sign or offer whatever contract they need with their players. My Master and I had already finished all those things.]

[Agreed. That is indeed necessary] said Manager Gui.

Manager Tian spoke, [Then let me tally the rewards for now.]
