I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 109: 5.11 First Violet Star - In My Dream

After leaving the Tribe Leaderʼs place, Meizhouʼs mood is quite good. The relationship between him and his female seems to be going well. He reached out wanting to hold Xuebaoʼs hand only to freeze when he saw his chosen femaleʼs chilly smile. His cerulean orbs remain detached to the world as he looks at him.

”Meizhou. Have you forgotten about my conditions for you to become my Protector?” said Xuebao.

Meizhou lowered his hand and replied, ”I remember.” he answered.

”Then why are you trying to touch my hand just now?” asked Xuebao.

”I just thought... I mean in your house, you did hold mine.” replied Meizhou.

Xuebao sighed, ”That is just an act for the elders to accept those fruits. I thought you knew of my plan and acted with me.”

”I did. I acted back then as well. But I thought you...” said Meizhou.

”You thought Iʼve forgiven you already? If I recalled it correctly, it was just yesterday morning when I was still disgusting in your eyes. I was told I was unworthy even after confessing my feelings for you. To you my love towards you has no worth at all!” said Xuebao.

With panic in his eyes, ”No! no. Baoʼer itʼs not like that. I really love you!” said Meizhou.

The conversation between these two had gotten intense to the point that the people in their surroundings were all staring and watching them. Even Lang who was following behind stood in a distance giving them privacy.

Xuebao, ”Very well. Weʼll talk it over today.” Then he looked at Lang and said, ”Lang you can wait in Tuziʼs place for a while or go home. I need to have a serious conversation with your boss. Tuzi will be busy with things in the tribe for a while if you want to help him, ask him yourself. As for the future hunts, Meizhou will inform you a day before.” he said.

Warrior Lang nodded his head in agreement. As he was given permission to leave, he immediately left and headed towards Tuziʼs place for their return. But based on the tense atmosphere between his boss and his female, things might not go well for today. He decided to return to where Tuzi is, and ask if he needs his help instead. After observing the whole morning, Lang noticed that the one who issued orders in that little group is not his boss, Meizhou but their tribeʼs young leader, Xuebao. Now that he was pardoned to take his leave, he instantly left.

Meizhou is looking at Xuebao with a serious expression. To explain things about his sudden changes, he wanted to talk with Xuebao since last night but the person had always either ignored him or treated him coldly. Meizhou grabbed his waist and carried him in his arms out of nowhere.

”You let go! I can walk!” yelled Xuebao as he struggles from Meizhouʼs grip.

Meizhou didnʼt listen this time and carried him away. ”Letʼs talk, Baoʼer.” he said.

”Fine. If you failed to convince me then your Protector Status would dis---” Xuebao suddenly shut up when he saw his husbandʼs angry gaze.

”That is impossible! The only way for you to remove my Protector statues is to accept me as your mate. Nothing more and nothing less.” said Meizhou coldly.

But in spite of him showing his anger, Xuebao in his arms remained smiling but this time his eyes had feelings of excitement and playfulness instead of his usual taunting gaze.

”Hehe~ get angry more. This is the second world youʼve dared to reject me! I will not forgive you as easily as before. Hmph!” the thoughts behind Xuebaoʼs smile.

[There is something Yue have forgotten to inform the host.]

”Oh~ what is it?”

[That... in the last world we came from. After the host got ejected from it, the... The Lord God w-woke up. He was very angry after I reported to him.]

”Of course he will be angry. Iʼve intentionally didnʼt told him anything.”

[The Lord God had destroyed that little star after the host had left. Now, it no longer exists at all.]

Xuebao frowned at the seriousness of the information System Yue just informed him.

”He destroyed the star?! Why did he do that? Thatʼs an A rank world. The world energy he could get from it, is larger than the other other worlds we came to stay before!”

[The world energy he got from that ruined world is enough to compensate for all the Lord Godʼs hard work in that star. It is just... he said he is not willing to stay in that world alone without the host in it. This is why he chose to destroy it instead of nurturing it.]

”He is a fool. Itʼs just a few decades. The world energy he could have collected in that world would be twice than ruining it. He could endure it for few years!”

[The exact duration of the Lord Godʼs lifespan in that star is 200 years at most. While the host had died early in that world, the Lord God still needs to stay alone in that place for 100+ years. The Lord God said he wouldnʼt be able endure it. The thought of you not being by his side in his lifetime almost made him go crazy. Host, that is the first time Iʼve seen the Lord God lose it.]

Hearing this kind of explanation from System Yue made Xuebao shut his mouth. He could no longer complain. He thought that the man would only need to stay in that place for a few more years like 5 to 10 years at most but it was 100+ years. Even he is not willing to stay in that place without Ye Xiajie as well. He now understood his husbandʼs anger.

”Is this why he is able to point me out easily in this world? Because he made a vow to find me first this time?” asked Xuebao.

[Yes, Host. It is the Lord Godʼs promise.]

”No wonder Meizhou is acting weird all of the sudden. He doesnʼt have any memories as Ye Xiajie but his possessiveness had reached the level beyond the norms. It was because Ye Xiajieʼs emotions were being passed, that even his soul fragments are acting this way.” said Xuebao.

[This is why if Meizhou is angered at the point where he could no longer bear it, then the Lord Godʼs soul fragment might get broken beyond repair. Host please forgive the Lord God already. He really didnʼt mean those rejections.]

Sigh~”Fine! I will forgive him! But this lord is not willing to spoil him too much.” said Xuebao.

------

Xuebao was carried by Meizhou in his place.

Meizhouʼs tent is not as large as the Tribe Leaderʼs but it is larger than most male beastmenʼs place. He is still the strongest warrior in the tribe, this kind of house shows his strength and ranking within the tribe. He brought Xuebao inside and placed him on the top of the softest carpet he had prepared for his future mate. The carpet is made from the chinchillas.

Chinchillas are rodents that live at elevated cold places. They are slightly larger and more robust than ground squirrels and look more like a rabbit but with mouse ears and squirrel tails. To survive in the bitter cold, they have very dense fur. They achieve this by growing more than 50 fine hairs from each follicle. Their fur is considered to be the softest in the world.

Every time Meizhou leads the hunting team, he never forgets to collect this kind of animal fur. As if in his mind he knew that his future mate had sensitive skin and would only like the softest kind of fur. He collected a lot of this fur and was intending to ask Tuzi to make a carpet for him using this material. He exchanged food and meat with Tuzi for this. But lately only the first batch was done as Tuzi was busy making Xuebaoʼs clothes. He didnʼt mind his order for the carpet being pushed back. After all the clothes Tuzi is making is for his beloved.

”Hm~ this half made carpet feels like rabbit fur but softer than normal rabbit fur.”

[Host thatʼs not rabbit fur but from a mountain rodent called chinchillas. Itʼs the animal with the softest fur in this world.]

”Chinchillas? Those things are not even as large as a rabbit. Just how much did he catch to make such a big carpet!?”

[Over 500 according to the data.]

”Did he make it for his future mate? Woa~ he is so kind~” said Xuebao but thereʼs clear jealousy within his eyes.

[Host it is for you. He had it made with you in his mind. The Lord Godʼs soul fragments had no memories of your past lives but... they have vague memories of things regarding the host. As more worlds are shared between you two, his soul will gradually remember small things like your likes and dislikes. Special constitution like sensitive skin or like for cleanliness.]

Grabbing at the fur carpet under him, ”Is there a possibility of AʼXia with complete memories living a lifetime with me?” asked Xuebao.

[In the future.]

”I see... Haha~ I can wait for it.” murmured Xuebao.

No matter how confident Xuebao is, that his loverʼs soul would be completed with his help, meeting his man in every world with only him retaining their memories of the other worlds made him feel the unfairness about it. Even when he tried enjoying the thrill of meeting his husband with a different personality and life, deep in his heart he knew that he felt fate was unfair to him.

After all he will be a stranger in front of his husbandʼs incarnation, in every world, every time theyʼve met, during their first meeting. If not for the comfort that his husband would somewhat treat him differently and pampered him more, than others despite not having memories, the actions he would take would be completely different with how he does in the past worlds. He would just need to complete his mission ahead of time and would not stay in every world for a whole lifetime.

Knowing that there will be a possibility of his husband meeting him in the future worlds with complete memories made him happy.

Meizhou watches Xuebao use his hands as he rubs the black carpet under him. There is delight as well as sadness within those celestial blue eyes. He felt guilty in his heart for some unknown reason and just stayed silent the whole time.

”Did you have someone make this?” asked Xuebao.

Meizhou replied, ”Yes. It was halfway made because... the maker is busy lately with other works.”

”Indeed Tuzi is a bit busy making my clothes lately. My clothes will be made soon. You should have him finish this after.” said Xuebao.

The Jaguar male beastman was startled only for a moment but upon remembering that no one else would have seen more of that female rabbitʼs work aside from Xuebao, he decided not to pursue this topic.

”Do you like it?” asked Meizhou.

Xuebao, ”Yes, a lot. I have sensitive skin. Only this kind of pelt is comfortable for me to use. So~ my question for you: Why is it for a male who has no care for the type of fur he used for clothes to have this kind of delicate pelt in his house?” he asked.

After staring at Xuebaoʼs eyes for a few seconds he kneeled down in front of him and held his hands slightly trembling, he is afraid of rejection. Meizhou decided to confess everything even if the latter might think he is a madman after.

”I always have this dream. The surroundings and the place is vague but also clearly different from this place. In that place the forest isnʼt as big as here instead tall things are used as houses. They wear full clothes on them like you and the female rabbit does. In that place Iʼm always meeting a person. I couldnʼt clearly see his face nor his features. Only his mischievous smile was distinct.

Sometimes the surroundings will change as well and the same goes for the clothes he wears. Only his smile remains the same. That person doesnʼt like to eat things called vegetables especially the orange and green colored ones. He doesnʼt like drinking milk unless something was mixed in it. He is afraid of the cold and hates boredom the most. Sometimes he is cruel and merciless but I think it is only towards his enemies and... for some reason that person loves me the most and... I love him the same way as well.

He always told me that we will meet again in the future. (Next life)” storied Meizhou but this time he didnʼt dare to look at the face of Xuebao, afraid that he would see rejection and aversion in his belovedʼs eyes. The hand that held Xuebaoʼs hand started to tremble but still tightly held his hands.

Xuebao said, ”I see... Did that man say other things?”

Meizhou replies, ”H-He also said that I need... need to find him first. He wanted me... to r-recognize him b-before he does.”

”Anything else?”

”I also k-know that... h-he died ...in that world... b-because... of me... I... am the one who caused his death in that world. I ki----...”

Before Meizhou was able to complete his words he suddenly felt someone pull his hand forward and press him on the carpet. The culprit straddled on his lap while hugging his head. Meizhou could hear Xuebaoʼs heartbeats lingering in his ears. The scent of mellifluousness and peppermint entered his nose giving him a soothing warmth. A petite figure leaned on him and he couldnʼt help but want to wrap his arms around that small person on him.

But he stopped at the last moment after remembering the condition he agreed in exchange for the Protector title. He is not willing to risk his hard earned title just because he indulges himself to his desires. Meizhouʼs arms were hovering around Xuebaoʼs waist but didnʼt dare to touch. Seeing that, Xuebao had to put Meizhouʼs hand on his waist himself before hugging his neck while rubbing his face on Meizhouʼs cheeks.

”Baoʼer?~” called Meizhou in disbelief.
