I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 101: 5.3 First Violet Star - I Want to Become a Protector

Hei Anjing will now be called Xuebao in this world.

Xuebao opened his eyes revealing those orbs in cerulean hue. The conversation he heard with his system had continued in the mind as usual and the former never opened his mouth to speak in reality as he could converse with his system through his thoughts.

[Host. A weird rabbit?]

”Itʼs that Protagonist Shou of this world. Obviously he loves to fantasized about BL related things. I just couldnʼt believe he would have all those men as mates. There are six of them. I heard rabbits mate 5-7 times a day. No wonder he had all those men. Good thing that I am a snow leopard in this world. If I ended up as a rabbit in this world, that my husband of mine, wouldnʼt let me leave the bed in this world!”

[That... Hahaha~ Host please receive the compensation from my boss for suddenly throwing... I mean bringing you over in this world. But please donʼt worry you husbandʼs soul is also reborn here.] System Yue averted his eyes when he heard his hostʼs comments about the protagonist shou. He though that his host might have caught doing those things.

Ignoring his systemʼs sudden awkwardness, ”Good thing. So what are the compensations from that dead fool?” asked Xuebao as he change the topic.

System Yue cried in his mind as he heard his host called his boss a dead fool. In short his host hasnʼt forgiven his boss and will be beaten up when everything is over. He decided not to side with his boss afraid of being affected with it and getting punished with him.

”Then I choose Fighting Talent and Ice Attribute. I could use the rest but there is a heavy backlash at each use. No problem with that.” replied Xuebao in his mind.

[Congratulations! Host. Your fighting Talent and Ice Attribute special skill are now unlocked.]

”Itʼs a good compensation. I will no longer beat that bastard half death. I will leave a third of his life.” said Xuebao while his system just answered him with silence.

[Reporting to the host. There is someone peeking on the host. It is one of the Male Leads. It is Meizhou.]

”Ignore him. He pissed me off. That bastard dared to call me disgusting and not worthy of him. If that man happens to become the incarnation of my husbandʼs soul then he would have to suffer for a bit.”

[How to make him suffer, host?]

”The greatest suffering of men. To be able to see but not to be able to eat.” answered Xuebao.

[Canʼt he just force the Host then?]

”If he is really AʼXia then he would never force me if I am really unwilling.” replied Xuebao.

After half an hour the protagonist Shou called Tuzi returned and brought a pile of clothes and spare shoes with him. He is running towards the river where he left Xuebao. Thereʼs a clear excitement within those pinkish irises.

”Xuebao~ I prepared your change of clothes! Iʼve included towels as well.” said Tuzi as he kneeled by the riverside where Xuebao stays.

”Thank you. Please turn around.” said Xuebao. Tuzi, who immediately understood what he wanted, passed the things on his hands and turned about face. Then Show his back at Xuebao.

Once Tuzi turned around Xuebao stood up without the embarrassment of revealing his naked body to the air. He took the clean towel as he left the river and wiped all the water on his skin before wearing the clothes Tuzi prepared for him. The clothes were made simply. A normal long sleeve that is a bit larger on him as Tuzi had a slightly larger physique than our Xuebao. Only the tips of his fingers are exposed from the opening of the sleeves. The pants were the same, itʼs length is a bit longer and Xuebao needs to fold the end of the pants for his feet to be seen. The shoes are a bit bigger on his feet as well. His all over attire made it look like that Xuebao is wearing oversized fur pajamas made of animal hide.

”Letʼs go. You can either sleepover in my place or I stay in yours?” said Xuebao.

Tuzi replied, ”Stay in mine. You live with the Tribe leader so it is a bit hard to have loud conversations. So...”

”Fine. I will stay in your place only tonight.” said Xuebao.

Tuzi showed a huge grin when he heard Xuebaoʼs answer and happily clinging to his sleeves even though he is taller than the latter by half a head. These two return to the tribe leaving the river. Only the hidden shadow within the tree left as well after they returned to the tribeʼs camp. Only few traces of blood were left on where the man had stayed.

Tribe Leaderʼs Cave

The Tribe Leader is Xuebaoʼs father. He is also a leopard beastman but unlike his female son he is not a snow leopard, but cobweb furred pattern. His fur is black with hints of silver. His deceased wife is a snow leopard like his female son. This man is called Zhubao.

In order to keep his female son  safe even after his death he planned to have him get married with the strongest male in their tribe. But Meizhou declined and had no choice but to choose Laohu as his female sonʼs arranged marriage partner. In exchange for this marriage Laohu will be able to become the next Tribe Leader after he retires. That was the original plan.

Until he heard the event that took place this morning. It was a situation that involved his female son, his arranged marriage partner: Laohu and his sonʼs unrequited crush: Meizhou. This all happens because he told his son is getting married to Laohu. He knew that his son liked Meizhou but he couldnʼt really force Meizhou to marry his son. Not only his sonʼs reputation is so bad, just the fact that everyone in the tribe knew that he is spoiled rotten, no talent at all making him useless except for breeding. No one would marry a useless wife. Even Laohu was half unwilling even with the future tribe position as a bargain chip.

When his son ran off to chase after Meizhou, he knew things wouldnʼt end nice. But he and the tribe elders were gathering for a meeting and he wasnʼt able to stop his sonʼs foolishness. He expected a result of Xuebao being prostrated by Meizhou but he would never have thought that he would have beaten Laohu half dead because he wouldnʼt agree to dismiss him or end their engagement. He even heard that his son tried to kill Laohu when he refused to admit defeat. He thanked Meizhou for stopping his sonʼs rashness.

As for the fact that his son could fight, Zhubao wasnʼt really surprised. As he knew that his wife before he died used to train their son daily. His former wife is the strongest female in their tribe. His strength is not that weaker against those warriors. He is an amazing female in his heart. He died during the last battle they had with the enemy tribe. He had even seen his son secretly training in their caveʼs training ground alone and only he knew that his son could fight. Though not at the level he treated Laohu, the second strongest warrior in their tribe, as a live sandbag.

Zhubao grumbles, ”Sigh~ now there is no problem with my sonʼs marriage. The problem now is whether there will be someone stronger than him that he is willing to marry. That time if I didnʼt win against my wife he wouldnʼt stay to become my mate. Really~ only the strongest could bend the wills of those snow leopards. Donʼt you think so, Meizhou?” said the tribe leader as he noticed the presence of this cold face warrior.

Meizhou who was listening in the shadows suddenly appeared before Zhubao.

”Greetings~ Tribe Leader.” said Meizhou.

Zhubao had a kind smile on his face but his eyes were gauging and indifferent. He couldnʼt helped but show a bit of his dislike towards this man who used to look down on his darling son. If not the fact that he had longed passed his prime, he wouldnʼt even let this kind of male fancy his little baby. He could still clearly remembered the first time he approached Meizhou and ask him to become Xuebaoʼs fiancé before.

Before he had chosen Laohu as his sonʼs partner his first choice is this boy. After all he is the strongest male in this tribe. Once he dies of old age Meizhou would be able to protect his son even when his gone. Sadly, before he could ask of him of this favor, Meizhou showed an obvious rejection towards his son. He decided to forget about him and choose a different option which in the end is no better than the former. Remembering those scene made this old father clicked his tongue in irritation and bad mood.

But now look who is here~ Tsk!

”If you are here to ask for my baobaoʼs marriage then this old man wouldnʼt be able to help you.” said the tribe leader with a provocative tone.

Meizhou ignored the old manʼs mocking tone and said, ”I understand. I was blinded by the rumors going on within the tribe.”

”If you had accepted his confession without saying those ugly words he wouldnʼt have ignored you. My baobao is lazy which is why he choose to hide the fact he could fight and... in the first place the only male that was able to enter his eyes is you but... as you have chosen, you didnʼt accept his affection which now had gone cold as ice.” said Zhubao.

Meizhou understood very well what the old tribe leader meant. He also knew that the rumors about Xuebao stalking him before is true but about the fact that Xuebao could fight or that his personality is originally fierce is something he never expected. But what he did now, watching him play around and treating his friend Laohu as a live sandbag made him want to see more of him. In that moment, Xuebao was extremely enchanting, not of his exquisite features or his fighting ability but instead the presence of his soul. Mischievous, cruel and merciless. Thatʼs how he could perceive Xuebao of that time.

Without him knowing he could no longer control his heart for yearning at that Xuebao. It is as if he found the most precious thing in his life. Something he is willing to give away his everything just to get him. Which is now he is here before the clan leader with a respectful stance to ask for another opportunity to court that heavenly being. The last chance to capture that elegant snow leopardʼs heart.

Meizhou kneeled before Zhubao and bowed his head.

”Tribe Leader! Please let this Meizhou become Xuebaoʼs Guardian!” he said.

According to the facts of this world.

An unmarried female beastmen is able to have two kinds of relationship.

A tentative Mate: Fiancé

and

A Protector: Guardian and someone who courts the female. This is the position of a suitor without any title. If he works well he could promote himself as fiancé or become the future mate of the female. Having this title as a protector means the male beastman will have the authority to block the other suitors in approaching his chosen female. Unless he is defeated no one else is able to become the new guardian of the female nor could the female have a fiancé. He will be the sole suitor of the female unless he was defeated and got stripped of the position of the protector.
