I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 18: 1.17 First Small Star [Extra 2] – Horror Tale V

An hour had passed really quick. The last team to arrive at the entrance is the orderly team led by Xue Luli and her boyfriend, Fu Lian. Holding their clothes from behind is their little brother, Xue Jing.

Xue Luli and Fu Lian as the eventʼs leaders were informed of the events that took place within the other groups. The two were mostly informed about the guests who had experienced supernatural events. Most of these guests had left before Xue Luli and Fu Lian had returned. Currently there are at most 20 people in total remaining in the place. The rest had left after experiencing weird situations like meeting a ghost or almost getting locked in some kind of room and etc.

Xue Luli spoke, ”You were saying that theyʼve really seen ghosts!?”

”Yes. Those who left have been saying that theyʼve seen some ghastly figures inside the building. Some even got locked inside temporarily and a couple even saw a female ghost covered in blood.”

”President, are we still going to continue the event?”

”It has gotten dangerous already.”

”Have you not experienced anything weird at all during your exploration of the building?”

”Anything weird?” said Xue Luli while sneaking a peek at her little brother Xue Jing who only smiled at her.

”Pfft! If the president is talking about the little brotherʼs stomach rumbling from before then... it could indeed barely pass as a weird event. Hahaha~” said the student blogger.

”Big brother. Iʼm hungry~” said Xue Jing while grabbing Fu Lianʼs clothes.

Pats Xue Jingʼs head, ”Sigh! Okay. Lili letʼs eat dinner first. After eating we could ask the other guests if they still wanted to continue the event. But for reassurance letʼs call the dean to send us some adults for help just in case.” said Fu Lian.

During dinner, the team had prepared some lunch boxes for the guests and their group. They gathered in the open area outside the building watching the evening sky above covered in clouds, no stars found at all and only a huge full moon shining brightly.

After Xue Luli and Fu Lian discussed the alterations of plans to the remaining guests, most of the guests decided to continue playing. In the end it was decided that they would be playing pen fairy for the last event with each team sending a representative. 6 players, among the players Fu Lian and Xue Luli were chosen as event organizers and in their team it was Xue Jing who volunteered. The location for the game is at the ground floor of the abandoned building.

Everything needed for the supernatural game was prepared. At the center of the room, a paper and a pen were prepared. The six players sat in a circle around the paper while surrounding them with candles. The rest of the guests were seated, at a certain distance from the center, watching them silently.

Xue Luli looked at the other guests who were chosen to play the pen fairy with her. Most of them have a thrilled and excited expression.

”Please listen to me for a moment. I would now be explaining the rules of Pen Fairy. It seems you three already knew the instruction but let me repeat it just in case. This is whatʼs written on the internet.

We are to face each other and place one of our hands in the front, each all holding on gently to the same pen in the middle. After that we are called upon by the pen fairy 3 times and concentrate hard in the belief and faith that the fairy will descend and close your eyes.

DO NOT OPEN YOUR EYES!

We need to wait for 15 minutes for the summoned spirit to finally descend. The moment your pen starts to move by itself it means that the spirit has arrived.

Once the spirit has arrived, we can start asking questions and let the spirit give you the answer as it will write for you. Bear in mind that the questions to be asked must be simple and easy as possible. Do not ask anything complicated.

When we are done, we must politely invite the spirit to leave.

A warning: Please donʼt suddenly leave the four corners of the paper until we send away Pen Fairy or things would not go well.

Does everyone understand?” asked Xue Luli after making her explanation.

Seeing everyone nod their heads, Xue Luli looked at her excited younger brother worriedly.

”Jingjing If you are afraid you canʼt run away okay? Just stay by mine and AʼLianʼs side.” said Xue Luli while looking at the youngest among the participants for the Pen Fairy game.

Xue Jing nodded his head in agreement with an innocent face, ”I will not run! I will stay here with Big Sis and Big Bro. I promise~~” he said while smiling.

The angelic smile on Xue Jing slightly mellowed the tense and quiet atmosphere in the area. Some guests, especially the girls, calmed down seeing a cute boy like Xue Jing with them in this creepy place. Fu Lian smiled and ruffled Xue Jingʼs hair gently.

”Donʼt worry Big brother will definitely protect you and your sister.” said Fu Lian.

Xue Luli blushed when she saw her boyfriend looking at her lovingly.

Xue Luli was embarrassed for that moment, ”Y-You... be quiet!” she said stuttering with an obvious red blush on her cheeks.

Fu Lian reached out his hand and gently caressed his girlfriendʼs cheeks.

The two were in their own worlds without noticing the weird expressions of the people around the. The three participants of the Pen Fairy game were directly hit by this closed up PDA. They could only choke from being overfed by this so-called dog food.

”Little bro you have it bad. Too much dog food!” the guy beside him said.

The other one beside the guy next to him was also nodding in agreement.

”Are these two always like this? I pity all single dogs around a sickening sweet couple.”

Xue Jing responded, ”Whatʼs a single dog? Dog Food can be eaten.” asked innocently by this century plus old ghost. As a ghost who was sealed in this place, Xue Jing had no idea what some slang words meant.

Everyone looked at this innocent little pure boy in shock.

Their thoughts are: ʼWhere did this precious pure child come from!?ʼ

”Get started!” After spoke, Xue Luli closed her eyes. Others have closed their eyes, and they still have words in their mouths.

”Previous life, past life, I am your life. If you want to continue with me, please possess this pen and converse with us...”

”Previous life, past life, I am your life. If you want to continue with me, please possess this pen and converse with us...”

”Previous life, past life, I am your life. If you want to continue with me, please possess this pen and converse with us...”

Everyone continues to chant these words as it is the key to call out to the spirit of Pen Fairy. This is a short ritual of spirit calling. It needed to be done by the participants. The voices of the 6 participants echoed in the abandoned building. The others who were watching from the sideline were quiet as mute. This is to allow the area to provide the maximum silence it needs to call on a spirit.

Everyone had anticipation in their hearts but the expectation for this game to be success is only minimal. There are too many people in the building. They donʼt even know whether the ghost will come over with so many watching the supernatural event unfold.

The chants for pen fairy continued to be recited for the whole 15 minutes before the six participants at the center slowly opened their eyes and let go of the pen on the top of the paper. Once theyʼve let go of the pen, Xue Luli and the rest look at each other waiting. They wanted to know whether the spirit had been called.

Usually they are daring and do not believe in the existence of ghosts and gods, they have to be nervous at this time, because pens have subverted their worldview. The pen had stood upright on its own. Everyone in the building gasped collectively in shock but no one dared to scream or yell. Afraid that they might anger the ghost.

Gasped!!

Seeing this supernatural event unfold before them, some swallow their voices in fear while the others are trembling. Only a few brave ones with exceptional guts were able to retain their calmness like Xue Luli and Fu Lian. Even the youngest of the participants was unexpectedly fearless, staring at the upright pen in front of him with glowing eyes.

”It seems to have possessed the pen as we wanted. What should we do next?” asked Xue Jing to the rest of the participants with him.

Xue Luli and Fu Lian were a bit startled seeing their younger brotherʼs braveness. He is gutsy enough to even show excitement within those innocent eyes. Beside him the other three participants had belief expressions. Ashen faces, trembling hands and stuttering voice.

”I-It move. F-For r-real...”

”Damn! I-I want t-to run... c-can I?”

”I-I-Idiot... T-The... the rules. Remember t-the r-rules!”

”Haha~ I-I might be... w-weaker than a child.”

”Donʼt leave your seats. Keep the rules in mind or things will just get worse.” warned Fu Lian to these three scared participants of the Pen Fairy game.

”I will start asking now.”  Xue Luli asked in a treacherous way: ”Pen fairy, are you here?”

The pen slowly moved as if answering Xue Luliʼs question. Seeing the pen hovering on the top of the paper without anyone touching it made everyoneʼs spirits very depressed. They were terrified in their hearts. This is the first time they witnessed such a supernatural event that even science couldnʼt explain. Everyone stared at the pencil, and the pencil slowly drew a perfect circle on the previous clean paper.

AAAHHH!!!

Suddenly! The lighting equipment went out. This moment made those with faint hearts to scream. What turned off are the modern equipment for lighting. Things like emergency light lamps or flashlights had become useless at this moment. The atmosphere was tense and creepy, and only the glimmer of the candles surrounding the six participants at the center gave them a sense of security.

No one knew why the lights from the equipment all turned off. Even the flashlight provided by the event organizers to the guests had all malfunctioned at this moment. What they didnʼt know is that outside the building, the huge full moon outside had already turned red together with the evening sky.

Those who were inside the building had continued their game without knowing that outside, the cruel and inhuman hunting by those awaken fierce ghosts had begun.

Few minutes before the second phase of the event had begun, lots of guests had separated from the team after getting a scare during the first phase of the event. One of these guests is the flirty couple from before. After seeing a bloody ghost woman in that horrifying building, this couple had left ahead of time trying to go home.

But unfortunately despite following the map given to them, the two keep wandering in the forest around the abandoned building in the south yard. For unknown reasons they couldnʼt leave the premises of the land despite all their efforts.

The man whose patience had been all used up had thrown the map with him on the ground and stomped on it countless times in anger.

Stomped. Stomped. Stomped.

”Fucking useless thing! Shit! Shit! We should have asked those insane children who made this event to bring us out of this place.” the man said.

Not far for him his frightened girlfriend had sat on the grassy ground lethargically. They have been walking around the area for an hour and so.

”What should we do? Will that ghost come to us!? Iʼm scared. Darling, Iʼm so scared! I want to go home!!” yelled the woman in distress.

”Calm down, honey. Let me call on the dean of this university. I need to make a complaint about this crazy event. Those brats should get punished!” said the man as he brought out his phone intending to call the authorities of the place and have them send someone to bring them away from this place.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

Once the call had connected from the other side, the man started shouting on his phone to show his complaint and anger.

Click! Call ongoing.

”...”

”Hello! Are you hearing me? You listen to this young master! This whole supernatural event your students had planned is extremely dangerous! Believe me!”

”...”

”We have seen a woman in white covered in blood. Her face is white and covered in blood even her eyes were crimson and it was fucking scary as hell.”

”...”

”Hello!!? Are you listening!?? Send some here to bring us home!! or else I will complain to the bureau of education! Hey!”

”...”

”Hello? HELLO!!? Is there someone on the other side!!!?”

He was so busy with his phone call that he didnʼt even realize that his girlfriend who was just sitting beside him had long disappeared. After shouting out all his complaints on the phone, the man finally noticed the weirdness of the phone call. No one on the other side spoke at all. Not even a single reply. The man could only hear the sound of breathing from the other side and according to the sounds, the breathing seemed to be ragged and breathless as if someone was dying.

”I can hear you~~” a womanʼs voice was heard from the phone.

The man who called suddenly felt shivers climbing up his spine. If he remembers it right, the dean of this university is supposed to be an old man in his fifties. But the voice from the opposite side of the call is a woman instead. He doesnʼt remember the dean having a female secretary at all. He only has a male assistant on his side.

”Hihi~ Of course, I can... hear you~ I also know... you as... well. Weʼve met... just... now... in that building... inside the... infirmary room... keke~ your girlfriend look so pretty~... Iʼm so envious~~ hahaha~”

The man threw his phone with an ashen face. This time the fear imprinted on his face is beyond what he had before. He could still hear the voice of the woman in his ears as if lingering just beside him. He started trembling as he remembered her words.

”Weʼve met.

Just now...

in the infirmary room.

Hehehe~”

The man surveyed his surroundings as he looked for his girlfriend only to see no one with him in this wilderness. Then he started hearing a womanʼs laughter all around him.

HEHEHEHEHE~

Then twisted his head from north to south, east to west but havenʼt seen any traces of woman around him. He fell seated on the ground in fear and alarm. His heartbeats were beyond his control as he could even feel the trepidation within him. He was about crazy until he heard his girlfriendʼs voice behind him, calling him sweetly.

”Darling~~”

The man showed happiness of being saved in this lonely and terrifying place but before he could twist his head to look behind him. He felt countless pairs of hands coming from behind. Each hand was slender and looked bloodless. Itʼs cold on his skin and he froze in horror. Then the voice of his girlfriend continues to echo behind his ears this time even closer.

The voice is coming right behind him, cold lips touch his ears and the womanʼs voice turned hoarse and says,

”Donʼt worry~ youʼll meet your pretty girlfriend again. Kekeke~ In my stomach that is~~ Hahaha~”

When the man turned his head behind, the face of the bloody woman ghost from before is right behind with a creepy smile reaching her ears. Literally reaching her ears as the corner of her mouth was split widely at both ends.

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!

The only thing that was heard within that forest is the manʼs excruciating screams in his last moments.
