The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 398: Chapter 400 Why Care About Her

Nangong Yaoling stepped on the brakes, opened the car door, and got out.

However... after taking a few steps, thinking about something, his tall body suddenly stopped.

”Young Master... the Young Madam has already woken up, the doctor said she’s fine...”

Xia Xiaonuan is fine already.

Why did he still have to rush over here so frantically?

He cared so much about her, valued her, but when did she ever appreciate it?

Nangong Yaoling, are you a fool?

She hates you so much, and you still keep going to her?

Nangong Yaoling’s lowered hand slowly clenched into a fist.

He took out his phone.

In the hospital.

Xia Xiaonuan lay on the hospital bed, already awake.

Many people from the crew were gathered around, Qi Yue was looking at her with pity.

”Xiaonuan... you were already exhausted, why didn’t you let the director stop? Luckily you’re okay, you really scared me just now.” Qi Yue said, her eyes reddening.

Xia Xiaonuan grabbed her hand, her face pale, and said, ”Don’t worry, I’m fine...”

Gu Xifei frowned, ”Xiaonuan, luckily you’re okay, everyone was terrified just now...”

”Yeah... Xiaonuan, we were all very worried about you.” Several other actors chimed in.

Standing aside, Yang Zi’er’s face turned red and white.

”It’s all because someone deliberately tortured you, that’s why this happened! When the Crown Prince comes and sees you like this, he’ll be heartbroken! By then, let’s see how some people will face the consequences!” Qi Yue glanced at Yang Zi’er angrily.

Yang Zi’er’s face instantly turned ashen.

”Who are you saying did it on purpose? Qi Yue, don’t talk nonsense!” Yang Zi’er, hearing that Nangong Yaoling was coming, couldn’t help but feel scared. She hadn’t intended to make a big deal out of it, who knew Xia Xiaonuan would suddenly drown? If the Crown Prince really blamed her... Fang Wan’s plight flashed in her mind, and her legs started to tremble.

”Alright, everyone stop arguing!” Jin Zhengyuan shouted helplessly, glancing gloomily at Yang Zi’er, then turned to Xia Xiaonuan and said warmly, ”Xiaonuan... there’s no rush to film, your top priority now is to recover...”

”I understand, thank you, Director...”

At that moment, Jin Zhengyuan’s phone rang.

He glanced at the screen and quickly stood up, looking a bit nervous, ”It should be the Crown Prince arriving!”

Yang Zi’er, standing at the door, suddenly stumbled back a step, her high heel twisted, nearly causing her to fall.

Fortunately, an actor beside her held her up.

”Zi’er, are you okay?”

”No, no problem...”

”Young Master... yes, the Young Madam is fine now!” Jin Zhengyuan said with a big smile, ”Are you almost here? I’ll get down to meet you! Huh... what? You’re not coming... oh... I understand, alright, Young Master...” Jin Zhengyuan hung up the phone somewhat perplexed.

Wasn’t it the Young Master who said he was coming just now?

He seemed so anxious!

Why did he suddenly say he’s not coming?

As Yang Zi’er heard this, her face lit up with joy, leaning against the door frame, clutching her chest, and exhaled a deep breath.

”What? The Crown Prince isn’t coming?” Qi Yue stood up, asking incredulously.

”Yes... Xiaonuan, the Crown Prince said he has something urgent and can’t come. I guess it’s very important...” Jin Zhengyuan said awkwardly to Xia Xiaonuan.

Xia Xiaonuan wasn’t surprised at all, given how things had been between her and Nangong Yaoling, he hadn’t been home for days!

So, her getting hurt and him not coming to see her was to be expected.

Moreover, she didn’t care if he came or not!

”I understand, Director.”

”Ah... everyone should go back, let Xiaonuan rest well...” Jin Zhengyuan said.
