My Home's Ancient Well Connects to the Martial Arts World

Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Unknown Visitors

The sky was exceptionally clear today, with a few white clouds drifting beneath the blue expanse. In the morning sun’s light, the edges of the clouds glowed with a faint golden sheen.

Amidst green mountains and lush trees, the highway coiled like a long, winding serpent through the ranges.

The wind howled past the car window as Ye Xing’s Porsche 911 sped down the highway.

The road was flat and wide, filled with a steady stream of sedans, pickup trucks, and small vans.

Ye Xing drove at full speed, his Porsche 911 constantly overtaking other cars. Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—one vehicle after another was left far behind. This speed was simply off the charts; an ordinary person would rarely dare to drive so fast. At such a velocity, one needed fast reflexes and excellent driving skills to avoid an accident. But Ye Xing had no such worries. As a Martial Artist, his vision, hearing, and reaction time—his physical abilities in general—far surpassed those of ordinary people. He was a special existence, hidden within the city.

The normal bus journey from Fu City to Luoxian County took about an hour and twenty minutes, but Ye Xing managed to reach it in under an hour.

Another ten minutes or so, and he successfully arrived at Bilin Village from Luoxian County.

Bilin Village was the main hub for the greater Bilin area. Besides the clay-tile houses, there were also a number of respectable-looking buildings standing five or six stories tall.

However, the area where Ye Xing’s ancestral home was located was considered the old quarter, mostly consisting of ancient, tile-roofed courtyards. With their mossy green tiles, they were profoundly quiet. Generally, only the village elders lived in such houses. The younger generation had either bought apartments in Luoxian County or purchased land in the village to build new homes. Only the grandparents’ generation still resided in the old houses.

Of course, Ye Xing was an exception.

He parked the Porsche in front of his ancestral home. Taking his luggage out of the car, he shut the door and walked toward the house.

”Woof! Woof!”

Little Erhei, with his round, tubby body, scurried on his four short legs, waddling eagerly behind Ye Xing.

He pushed open the gate to the ancestral home. Having been away for several days, the house hadn’t been cleaned and was covered in dust.

Little Erhei opened his mouth, snatched a cleaning rag, and, on his own accord, began wiping down the tables and chairs.

”Erhei, I’m leaving the house to you. I need to make a trip back to the Martial Arts world. There are a few bottles of Qi Nourishing Pills and some Demon Beast Meat in the fridge. Help yourself if you get hungry!” Ye Xing said, smiling as he patted little Erhei’s head. He then walked toward the old well in the backyard. The large iron shed was near the well, and it was a much more secluded spot. Ye Xing always set up the Purple Light Group Teleportation Gate inside the well.

He hadn’t been back to the Martial Arts Continent for several days. Ma Feng, Hong Hai, and the other two from the Great River Gang should be just about finished reorganizing the gang. It was time to expand the scale of his business.

Ye Xing arrived in front of the large iron shed and took out his key, preparing to unlock the reinforced security lock.

Just then, a series of knocks came from the front gate of the ancestral home.

*Knock! Knock, knock, knock!*

”Cousin Ye Xing, Cousin Ye Xing, you’re back, right?” It was the voice of his younger cousin, Cheng Xiaohai.

”This kid...” Ye Xing shook his head with a helpless smile, walked away from the iron shed, and went to open the main gate.

At the entrance stood not just Cheng Xiaohai, but Zhu Dazhuang and Wu Qiang as well. It seemed the three of them had come as a team.

”Cousin Ye Xing, what were you doing in Fu City? We still haven’t fully learned that Longevity Fist Technique you taught us! Last time the police came, we were interrupted and didn’t get to master the last two moves. Then you ran off to Fu City, so we had no one to ask,” Cheng Xiaohai grumbled.

”Great Hero Ye Xing, sorry to bother you!” Wu Qiang said, scratching his head with some embarrassment.

”Heh heh, Brother Xing!” Zhu Dazhuang chuckled foolishly.

Ye Xing rolled his eyes. ”What are you all doing standing at the gate? Come on in!”

He led the three of them into the courtyard of the ancestral home.

”How about this: I’ll demonstrate the Longevity Fist one more time. You all can practice along. After I’m done, you can ask any questions you have, but you only have fifteen minutes at most. I’m busy today and don’t have much time. Oh, right, you can record a video this time so you can keep practicing after you go back,” Ye Xing said in a serious tone.

”That’s right! Why didn’t I think of recording a video of the Longevity Fist last time? I’m so dumb!” Cheng Xiaohai’s eyes lit up, and he joyfully took out his phone. ”I’ll record it!”

”Mhm.” Ye Xing nodded and began to perform the Longevity Fist Technique.

Wu Qiang and Zhu Dazhuang watched with intense concentration as Ye Xing demonstrated the technique. This was a rare opportunity, and they didn’t dare be careless. They knew Ye Xing was very busy and would only demonstrate for them occasionally; he didn’t have time to teach them often.

Beneath the great locust tree, leaves fluttered down. A gentle breeze stirred them, making them twirl in mid-air before gradually blanketing the ground.

As Ye Xing demonstrated the Longevity Fist Technique, his fists moved like flowing clouds and running water—seamless, continuous, and completely natural. From a distance, he faintly exuded the air of a Grandmaster of the Generation.

After he finished one set of the Longevity Fist, Wu Qiang, Cheng Xiaohai, and Zhu Dazhuang hurriedly seized the moment to ask their questions about the technique, and Ye Xing answered them one by one. Afterward, he had each of them perform the Longevity Fist Technique and pointed out their mistakes.

In truth, the moves of the Longevity Fist were not difficult. Among the many martial arts of the Martial Arts Continent, it was considered one of the simpler ones. Under Ye Xing’s guidance, the three quickly corrected their errors. After they went home and practiced with the video for a few more days, they would surely be able to master the fist technique completely.

”Cousin Ye Xing, can I teach this Longevity Fist to my parents, too? I feel like practicing it is really good for the body. Every time I finish a set, I feel warm all over, and there’s this indescribable sense of comfort,” Cheng Xiaohai asked.

”My aunt and uncle? No problem. If they’re willing to learn, then you should teach them diligently,” Ye Xing said with a small smile. ”I don’t have any major restrictions on this Longevity Fist. Dazhuang, Wu Qiang, you can also teach this fist technique to your friends and family. Spread it around, let it flourish. A lot of people in the city these days have poor constitutions, and practicing the Longevity Fist can strengthen the body. If we can make the Longevity Fist widely known, it would certainly be a meritorious deed.”

”That’s great! I didn’t dare teach anyone else without your permission, Brother Xing. When I get back, I’ll teach my mom this fist technique right away,” Zhu Dazhuang said happily.

Beside them, Wu Qiang’s eyes grew thoughtful. After a moment of contemplation, he said to Ye Xing, ”Great Hero Ye Xing, I was wondering, have you applied for a patent for this fist technique?”

”A patent? It’s just a fist technique, it doesn’t matter.” Ye Xing shrugged. There were countless martial arts on the Martial Arts Continent; the Longevity Fist was just a decent one. He truly didn’t think much of it.

”Great Hero Ye Xing, the Longevity Fist is an excellent fist technique, how can it not matter? I’m certain this technique will spread with incredible speed, no less popular than things like Karate or Taekwondo.”

Just as Wu Qiang was fervently trying to persuade Ye Xing, a huge commotion erupted outside the ancestral home’s gate. The sound grew louder as it approached, far more clamorous than when the police had come to search the place.

A moment later—

*Knock, knock!* *Knock, knock, knock!*

A rapid series of knocks pounded on the gate of Ye Xing’s ancestral home.
