New Age Of Summoners

The main reason why fights between the cultivators and the spirit beasts was because of the cultivation resources. Even the rulers of the Floating Island fight one another and try their best to invade the other regions because of the cultivation resources available in those regions.

Moreover, according to the Spirit of the Floating Island, the ruler will receive rewards from the Floating Island depending on the number of regions they own.

Aveline was one of the powerful cultivators in the Floating Island for a very long time and he even had access to the Heavenly Bestial Realm.

Hence, Ajax was sure that Aveline must have accumulated lots of cultivation resources.

Other than the rewards from the Spirit of the Floating Island, Ajax was curious about Aveline’s treasures.

[I was waiting for the ruler to ask about the rewards and the spoils of war from his earlier fight with Aveline]

’Swoosh’

As soon as he thought about the Spoils of Wars and the Rewards from the Spirit of the Floating Island, a light orb magically appeared in front of Ajax and said these words.

[Do you want to give up the spoils of war and double your rewards from the Spirit of the Floating Island?]

Before Ajax could say anything, the light orb asked him something that made him frown.

[Since you have successfully invaded the Fire Region by killing Aveline, you are entitled to a reward]

[At the same time, whatever the treasures and artifacts that Aveline was hiding, they all belong to you as long as you find them and as for who knows exactly where he hid them all]

[However, the ruler can give up on those items which might be good or not so good and definitely get a better reward from the Spirit of the Floating Island]

[What do you say? Do you want to give up and double your rewards?]

The Light Orb explained to Ajax in detail how it works, making him understand.

’Should I give up on Aveline’s treasures?’

Even though Ajax was excited about Aveline’s treasures, when he thought about how Aveline nurtured his special army of 3000 men, he was worried there might not be many valuable things left for him.

According to the Spirit of the Floating Island, Aveline’s treasures were hidden in different places which would take quite a lot of time in searching for them.

’Moreover, earlier, when I entered the Golden City, the System paused its upgrade and informed me about the Golden Mirror of Exchange. From the looks of it, there were no other artifacts of Quasi-Divine Grade Items in the Golden City.’

Ajax didn’t make any decision as he started thinking carefully about it.

”Can I know more about how your reward system works?”

Even after thinking for a moment, Ajax didn’t conclude; instead, he asked the Light Orb regarding the reward system.

[Sure]

The Light Orb seemed more than happy to explain its rewards to Ajax.

[Upon successfully invasion of another region, a ruler will be given a list of 10 items in which there were at least two Quasi-Divine Grade items or artifacts and the remaining eight are Special Mythical Grade items]

”What?”

The first thing already shocked Ajax a little; however, when he thought about the mysterious origins of the Floating Island and how fast time moves in it, he was not surprised.

[Sorry to interrupt your thoughts but you can get to choose only one item from that list of 10 times]

For a moment, the Light Orb felt that the other party might have misunderstood its words and hurriedly clarified about it.

”Of course, I know.”

However, Ajax was not that dumb to believe that he would get all those items for himself.

[Good. I have to make sure there are no misunderstandings related to the rewards]

The Light Orb explained it before asking Ajax once again, [So, do you want to give up on Aveline’s treasures and double your rewards from the Spirit of the Floating Island?]

”So, I can choose two items from that list of ten items?”

Ajax was careful because, from his understanding of the Spirit of the Floating Island, it would do things on a whim.

Earlier, he carelessly said that he didn’t need any new subordinates and in the next second wiped everyone from the Fire Region.

Ajax didn’t want a similar thing to happen again and was careful this time.

[Yes]

The Light Orb confirmed it, making Ajax nod his head before saying, ”I will double the rewards.”

Since there were two Quasi-Divine Items in the list of ten items, Ajax decided to go with it and select them.

As for Aveline’s secret treasures, he gave up on them once he learned about the Quasi-Divine items on the list.

Compared to the Quasi-Divine Items, Ajax didn’t think too much about the mythical grade items in Aveline’s secret treasures.

[The item list is being created. Please wait for a while]

Once he confirmed his decision, the Light Orb rapidly spun and asked Ajax to wait until the list was created.

”Sure.”

Ajax nodded his head and started asking the Light Orb some questions he had in his mind.

”Why didn’t I receive any rewards when I defeated the rulers of the Metal Region and took over it?”

[The reward for conquering the first region in the Floating Island was the rulership and the information about the other rulers in the Floating Island]

”Oh.”

Ajax nodded his head and asked another question, ”I have conquered the Wind and Earth Regions of the Floating Island now. What about the rewards for that?”

[The rewards from the Spirit of the Floating Island will be given only when the ruler either officially or unofficially defeats the ruler of another region]

[Currently, the rulers of the Wind and Earth Regions of the Floating Island surrender themselves to you and their regions become yours and whatever the treasures they hid and the armies they nurtured will be yours]

[So, there won’t be any additional rewards from the Spirit of the Floating Island]

[However, if the ruler wants the rewards, he could give up on all of it to get the rewards from the Spirit of the Floating Island]

’What?’
