Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Three leisurely years slipped by in silence.

In the Desert Sea, within a boundless wasteland, a blazing sun scorched the entire earth.

Countless grains of sand seemed seared red, turning scalding and steaming.

A white-robed figure stood in the void, like an Exiled Immortal, spotless and pure.

As Spiritual Light was stirred, in an instant three-colored Spiritual Light transformed into three-colored Thunder Balls gathered in his hand; then, with a flick of three fingers—

Three Thunder Balls condensed to the extreme shot out, exploding on the desert in a flash, blasting out a terrifying sand pit.

So many sand grains were blown into a yellow mist that drifted out; even long after the Thunder Light dissipated, the yellow mist still did not disperse. Only when Ye Jingcheng cast a Wind Attribute Magic to scatter the fog did he finally see a shocking great pit.

And the surrounding quicksand began to madly flow and collapse inward.

”At last, Three-Finger Divine Thunder!” The figure let out a long breath; his face was full of delight.

This figure was naturally Ye Jingcheng. After spending three months refining the Peach Wood Advancement Spirit Liquid, Ye Jingcheng had the Peach Wood swallow it on the spot. From then on—

Apart from a few Spirit Insects and Wood Demons whose Cultivation had not yet reached the required level, Ye Jingcheng had already finished feeding all the Spirit Beast Advancement Pills.

In the following three years, Ye Jingcheng did not focus on Cultivation, but kept cultivating this Five Elements Divine Thunder.

At first he cultivated in the Grotto Heaven; later, once he reached Two-Finger Divine Thunder, its power had grown far too great, making it inconvenient to use within the Grotto Heaven, so he came to the Desert Sea.

The Desert Sea was under the Ye Family’s rule; there was no need to worry about being spied upon, nor about his Divine Thunder accidentally damaging any Spirit Mountain and Spirit Land.

Three years passed, and now there were finally some results: he could unleash Three-Finger Divine Thunder. In sheer power, it might even surpass his Golden Spirit Secret Technique and Earth Spirit Secret Technique.

At this moment he even felt a bit of anticipation for the effect of striking out with Five-Finger Divine Thunder in one palm.

Ye Jingcheng couldn’t help but sigh.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that he could now wield Three-Finger Divine Thunder; it only worked with a specific combination of Water, Fire, and Wood Three-Phase Divine Thunder.

As for other Divine Thunder attribute combinations, when Ye Jingcheng tried to wield them, he would sometimes end up injuring himself.

Thinking this, Ye Jingcheng took out the Jade Talisman he had just used to record notes and began studying it.

Although the Five Elements Divine Thunder Secret Technique explained how to wield the Thunder to maximize its power—

The actual hands-on practice still differed quite a bit.

The three types of Divine Thunder he was currently using were Bing Fire Divine Thunder, Sunflower Water Divine Thunder, and Jia Wood Divine Thunder—also the three phases he was most familiar with.

Just as Ye Jingcheng continued his research, he suddenly sensed a peculiar fluctuation of Divine Thought coming from his Divine Soul.

He couldn’t help but brighten with joy.

When he entered the Grotto Heaven, he saw a gigantic Golden Roc soaring in the sky.

Of course, if one looked closely, one would see that this Golden Roc was somewhat different again.

The difference lay at the Golden Falcon’s beak, which was as sharp as a longsword.

As the Golden Falcon spread its wings, the Sword Intent around it grew even more intense. For an instant, Ye Jingcheng even felt that what he saw before him was not a Spirit Bird, but an incomparably sharp Spirit Sword.

”Chee!” The Golden Falcon let out a long cry. Its beak parted slightly, and in the next moment, it condensed a golden Magic Sword that slashed toward Ye Jingcheng.

Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng actually harbored some hope, because in his eyes this advancement of its sword seemed somewhat lackluster.

Yet in the next heartbeat, that sword shot forth with terrifying ferocity, and behind it the Golden Falcon also instantly transformed into a Golden Sword.

The two swords were simply too fast—so fast that Ye Jingcheng almost couldn’t react.

Boom!

At the critical moment, Ye Jingcheng summoned the Qilin True Hall, his Earth Spirit Secret Technique.

Yet when the two swords struck the True Hall, the very first sword cleaved the hall apart, and the second sword—the Golden Falcon’s true body—was even more terrifying.

It left Ye Jingcheng with a genuine sense that his life was under threat.

Just as Ye Jingcheng used Soul Guardian Blood Escape to flee, the Golden Falcon also withdrew all its Sword Intent, turning back into a Roc Bird with a sword-like beak.

At this moment the Golden Falcon was plainly already at the Mid-stage Fourth Tier; its full-speed flight was likely no weaker than the Profound Light Ship he had originally refined.

With such a terrifying speed, some cultivators at the Middle Stage of Golden Core likely couldn’t even react to the first sword, let alone the Golden Falcon’s Body Sword Transformation true body.

Furthermore, even if the Golden Falcon were blocked, its feathers would still transform into swords.

This was somewhat similar to Ye Jingcheng’s Magical Treasure Celestial River Bead, making it truly hard to guard against.

”At most, how many swords can you spit out?” Ye Jingcheng asked aloud.

”Master, at present I can only spit one.” The Golden Falcon had originally thought it would be praised and had wanted to circle around Ye Jingcheng—

Just as it had done when it first entered the Grotto Heaven, circling to curry favor with Ye Jingcheng.

But upon hearing this question, it lowered its proud head.

”Keep at it. You’ve only just broken through. Strive to spit three swords in one breath, then let your true body transform into the fourth sword. At that point, ordinary cultivators at the Late Stage of Golden Core won’t be your match!” Seeing the Golden Falcon’s reaction, Ye Jingcheng encouraged it again.

The Golden Falcon immediately let out a long cry and began circling Ye Jingcheng. Ye Jingcheng took out a Spirit Pill and released Treasure Light.

”Roar, let’s spar, the two of us!” The Golden Scale Beast leaped out from the Celestial Spirit Body Refining Array at that moment.

It had been fretting over the lack of a sparring partner. The Celestial Spirit Body Refining Array as it was now had become child’s play for the Golden Scale Beast.

After all, it had already mastered Gravity Divine Light.

When all the other Spirit Beasts had advanced, only the Jade Ring Rat and Earthworm remained; it had made the two of them spar with it for a bit, but soon gave up—Jade Ring Rat and Earthworm were far too weak, unable to give it any pressure at all.

”Chee!” The Golden Falcon cried out and nodded.

It too wanted to see just how great the gap was between itself and the Golden Scale Beast.

When the Golden Scale Beast unleashed Divine Light to envelop the Golden Falcon, the Sword Intent spilling from the Golden Falcon’s body sliced apart quite a bit of Golden Light. Coupled with its explosive power, the influence of gravity on it was not that great for the moment.

The two began a scene of you strike with a sword, I meet it with a shield, or you thrust once, I dodge once.

After watching for a while, Ye Jingcheng found it boring.

It wasn’t that the Golden Falcon could beat the Golden Scale Beast, but the Golden Scale Beast still faced the same problem: if its Gravity Divine Techniques didn’t work, it found it hard to land a hit on its opponent.

And the Golden Falcon’s speed was already unmatched.

In sheer speed, setting aside Illusion Skills, the Golden Falcon was absolutely number one; even the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon of the same tier couldn’t compare.

Of course, it was also hard for the Golden Falcon to stubbornly endure Gravity Divine Light and land a sword slash directly on the Golden Scale Beast’s head. Thus, when the two sparred, it was truly just sparring.

For a time, the Golden Falcon’s Sword Intent and the Golden Scale Beast’s Gravity Divine Light began grinding against each other.

After a few glances, Ye Jingcheng went back to cultivating Five Elements Divine Thunder.

Ten days later, the Five-Colored Cloud Deer also emerged from seclusion.

At this moment the Five-Colored Cloud Deer had transformed into a Six-Colored Cloud Deer, its body even more massive, its Six-Colored Spiritual Light all the more mystical and radiant.

The only thing that remained the same was still that large black nose.
