Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 643: Chapter 493: The Might of Purple Moon Heart Flame, the Jade Ring’s Choice (2-in-1)

In the past, the Golden Scale Beast would occasionally roar discontentedly about Ye Jingcheng’s order of feeding the Treasure Light.

But today, it was exceptionally silent, though its eyes still brimmed with defiance.

After feeding the Red Flame Fox two pages of Treasure Light, Ye Jingcheng also gave it a Profound Flame Pill to stabilize its Cultivation.

He then looked towards the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon.

Over the past three years, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon’s cultivation speed has been even faster.

This is why Ye Jingcheng’s breakthrough to the Middle Stage of the Purple Mansion was slower, after all, the difference between the Wood Phase and the Water Phase is significant, and the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon also has the Breathing Technique, despite lacking Ye Jingcheng’s Spirit Pills and Treasure Light assistance.

It’s quite impressive.

“Roar, Master, hungry!” The Jade Qilin Flood Dragon opened its enormous mouth as Ye Jingcheng looked over, dripping with saliva as if displaying its empty stomach to him.

“I left quite a number of Spirit Beast corpses for you before entering seclusion!” Ye Jingcheng reprimanded with a frown.

Yet, his hands did not hesitate, fetching a juvenile Sea Shark’s corpse and tossing it into the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon’s mouth.

He then tossed in a Water Attribute Black Water Pill along with a lot of Treasure Light.

Though the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon was somewhat greedy and gluttonous, its cultivation progress and strength were undeniable.

“Roar, thank you, Master!” The Jade Qilin Flood Dragon, satisfied after consuming the Spiritual Food and Treasure Light, happily plunged into the Spirit Lake.

Ye Jingcheng went on to feed the Golden Falcon and the Four-Colored Cloud Deer Spiritual Food, Elixirs, and Treasure Light, yet neither showed significant change, especially the Four-Colored Cloud Deer, whose progress was rather ordinary.

If the Advanced Essence Blood for the Four-Colored Cloud Deer couldn’t be found soon, Ye Jingcheng had concerns that even he himself would struggle to break through the Late Stage of the Purple Mansion.

After feeding these two beasts as per the routine, Ye Jingcheng turned his gaze to the Thunder Rhinoceros Insects, with four Hidden-Wing Thunder Rhinoceros Insects undoubtedly at the forefront, as they had all reached the Peak of Tier Two.

They were just a step away from consuming a Thunder Attribute Inner Core and breaking into Tier Three.

Their enormous silver Hidden Wings and fierce Thunder Rhino Horns made them quite the notable presence.

However, the remaining sixteen Thunder Rhinoceros Insects showed no change in Cultivation, as if they had lost much of their potential due to Ye Jingcheng’s urging.

But what delighted Ye Jingcheng was that the remaining one hundred and eighty Thunder Rhinoceros Insects had all reached the Late Stage of Tier One.

Particularly the Thunder Rhinoceros Insect King, which was at the Tier One Peak.

It could break through to Tier Two at any moment.

Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng promptly retrieved a Tier One Thunder Rhinoceros Pill to aid the Insect King’s advancement.

If all went well, even without a Tier Two Thunder Attribute Demon Pill, the Thunder Rhinoceros Insect could achieve a Tier Two breakthrough.

Moreover, the Thunder Rhinoceros Insect King was bound by his Master Blood Contract, eliminating any worry of disobedience, whereas Ye Jingcheng planned to delay the advancement control of the other Late Stage Tier One Thunder Rhinoceros Insects until he was more adept at training them.

As the Thunder Rhinoceros Insect King turned into Thunder Light and began breaking through,

Ye Jingcheng turned his satisfied gaze to the Roc Fish, which was at the Peak of Early Stage Tier Two, nearing the Middle Stage, and set to consume a Tier Two Pengyu Pill for its breakthrough.

Ye Jingcheng simply took out the pre-refined Tier Two Pengyu Pill to enable the Roc Fish’s breakthrough.

Ye Jingcheng then visited the Moon Spirit Clam Race to collect the newly produced Moon Spirit Beads from the last three years.

These Moon Spirit Beads could later be exchanged among the Ye Family Cultivators, allowing the family’s clansmen to consume a batch of Elixirs and significantly enhance their Cultivation.

Besides this, the few young Spirit Pearls that had advanced once already received Ye Jingcheng’s special attention with Treasure Light and Spirit Pills poured into them.

After attending to the Moon Spirit Clams, Ye Jingcheng’s gaze landed on the corner where the Jade Ring Rat and the Earthworm resided.

Surprisingly, the Earthworm had reached the Peak of Mid-stage Second Tier, yet the Jade Ring Rat remained at the Peak of Tier One.

Apparently, the Jade Ring Rat’s breakthrough attempt had failed.

Seeing Ye Jingcheng’s gaze, the Jade Ring Rat would rather mimic the Earthworm and burrow its head into the ground.

But it couldn’t; it merely lowered its head, not daring to meet Ye Jingcheng’s eyes, even neglecting to perk up its large Jade Ring Ears.

Its eyes were large and appeared full of melancholy, akin to the most ordinary Cultivators within the Cultivation Realm.

Exasperated despite utmost effort.

Even among Ye Jingcheng’s Spirit Beasts, it had started alongside the Red Flame Fox, yet now found itself at the periphery.

In the past, it had longed for a Spirit Pill, some Treasure Light.

Now, it wished more that it were one of many Mountain-devouring Rats in the bamboo forest of Lingyun Peak, or perhaps contributing in a Spirit Field of the Ye Family.

“So you’re giving up, just because you failed after taking the Demon Beast Inner Core, when you, as a Demon Cultivator, even grasped the Breathing Technique?” Ye Jingcheng remarked lightly.

The Jade Ring Rat looked up.

Curiosity filled its eyes.

Ye Jingcheng then once more tossed over a Foundation Establishment Pill.

“As a Demon Cultivator, there’s Foundation Establishment, Gathering Mansion, Solidifying Pill, Nascent Soul Formation…” Ye Jingcheng continued, leaving the choice to the Jade Ring Rat.

The Foundation Establishment Pill was offered to the Jade Ring Rat, with the decision to consume it left to the rat itself.

Previously, the Spirit Beast Inner Core had merely been Ye Jingcheng testing a hypothesis.

He now understood that without potential, even at the verge of breakthrough with a Spirit Beast Inner Core, success is difficult without mastering the Breathing Technique.

For Ye Jingcheng, if the Jade Ring Rat succeeded in propagating the Breathing Technique, the entire Ye Family could potentially choose highly intelligent, capable Spirit Beasts to impart the Breathing Technique to.

Thus increasing the upper limits of the Ye Family Spirit Beasts.

Of course, if the Jade Ring Rat wasn’t inclined to try again, he would respect its choice and find ten or so female rats for it on Lingyun Peak.

Ye Jingcheng then turned his attention to the Wood Demon and Stone Spirit.

The Cultivation of these two remained unchanged over the past ten years; advancing was exceedingly difficult without finding suitable cultivation methods.

After all, the longevity of a Wood Demon surpasses even Spirit Beasts, making its Cultivation much slower.

Though cultivation is slow, the peach tree bore four fist-sized Peach Fruits.

These Peach Fruits are precisely Longevity Spiritual Peaches, formed after the Peach Wood Demon underwent two advancements.

Even Ye Jingcheng’s breathing quickened at this, as these spirit peaches extend life by twenty years.

Ripening only once every ten years.

The sole regret was that his frequent seclusion over recent years meant he couldn’t infuse much Treasure Light into the Peach Wood, leaving only four spirit peaches instead of five or six.

“Master, I failed to meet your expectations with the Peach Wood!” At this moment, the Peach Wood Demon felt somewhat despondent.

To it, the critical time to shine had come, yet it underperformed.

How could it achieve a third advancement under such circumstances?

So it refrained from seeking Ye Jingcheng after his seclusion in the Grotto Heaven.

With the Peach Wood silent, the Stone Spirit beside it also felt a pang of guilt.

It believed the Peach Wood’s fewer results stemmed from its own scant supply of Spiritual Radiance.

However, in truth, Ye Jingcheng was exceedingly pleased.

Given his lack of regular Treasure Light infusions over the years, achieving even three results would have seemed reasonable.

Having four meant the Wood Demon and Stone Spirit indeed did their utmost.

Notably, his Soul Contract allowed him to perceive the Wood Demon and Stone Spirit’s thoughts.

Yet, though joyful within, Ye Jingcheng maintained a calm exterior.

“Strive harder next time!” he said, all the while infusing two pages of Treasure Light into both the Wood Demon and Stone Spirit.

Both figures radiated jubilance immediately.

The Peach Wood Demon’s Spirit Shadow emerged once more from the tree, the Stone Spirit condensed into a Daoist Robe Spirit Shadow, and even the Meat Ganoderma came forth.

These three, as Spirit Cultivators, were already united.

Nevertheless, Ye Jingcheng saw no issue with this unity; these three Spirit Cultivators could uphold the order of the Grotto Heaven, crucially distributing Elixirs and Spiritual Food.

Moreover, the Stone Spirit’s continued expansion of the Grotto Heaven pleased Ye Jingcheng greatly.

He proceeded to inspect the Spiritual Eye Spring and the Spirit Medicine.

The Purple Jade Vine remained vigorous, whereas the Dragon Beard Fruit showed slight weakness.

Evidently, as the Grotto Heaven’s Spirit Beasts integrated the Breathing Technique, their Spiritual Energy intake increased.

The previous Tier One Upper Grade Spiritual Vein, coupled with the Stone Spirit’s external absorption, was insufficient.

Ye Jingcheng needed to purchase a higher-grade Spirit Gathering Array, set up Spirit-Attracting Stones, and advance the Spiritual Vein within the Grotto Heaven to the Tier Two level.

With these thoughts, Ye Jingcheng exited the Grotto Heaven, concealing his Cultivation as he headed towards the underground hall of the Purple Wood Sect!
