Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 515: Chapter 429: Question of Restoration, Mysterious Insect Egg

At the foot of Buqing Mountain lies an endless lush tea valley.

The spiritual energy here isn’t particularly abundant, so most of the Welcome Spring Tea is transplanted from Lingyun Peak.

The Li Family used to plant another type of tea, Cui Lan Tea, here, but it produced fewer leaves, required stringent spiritual energy conditions, and was less profitable, so the Ye Family has completely replaced it.

Ye Jinghe stood before the tea valley, looking at the lush tea leaves, and let out a long breath.

However, his gaze was still somewhat uneasy.

Inside the tea valley, Ye Family members were already harvesting Spirit Tea.

The Spirit Tea was handled by Ye Jingqing of the Jing Generation, who was ten years older than him and, in his impression, extremely rigid.

“Sister Qing, are you in charge of leading the harvest of Spirit Tea today? Need any help?” Ye Jinghe approached and said.

After being stared at by Ye Jingqing, he awkwardly replied:

“Sister Qing, I’ve hit a bottleneck and came here to exchange for a Spirit Pill, but I’m short by several dozen Contribution Points, so I took on your family task.”

“Go ahead.” Ye Jingqing was silent for a moment, then nodded.

Because harvesting Spirit Tea is something even mortals can do.

However, mortals often can’t discern the levels of spiritual energy, making it easy to harvest the tea leaves incorrectly.

After all, this Welcome Spring Tea was cultivated by the Ye Family, and sometimes, Spirit Tea devoid of spiritual energy is quite common.

But these Spirit Tea leaves will eventually be distributed to the Ye Family Tavern and the One Leaf Pavilion in Taichang Market.

So, the people picking tea are all family members in the early stage of Qi Cultivation, most of whom are members of the Qing Generation who have only been cultivating for a few years; in addition to this, there are some family members with slow cultivation progress who lack Ye Family bloodline.

Ye Jinghe is already at the middle stage of Qi Cultivation, so his proactive involvement in harvesting Spirit Tea naturally seems suspicious.

However, seeing Ye Jinghe not engaging in conversation and just focusing on picking, they no longer paid attention.

This kind of Spirit Tea is usually harvested every half-month, able to yield several acres each time.

There aren’t many Contribution Points given either; she’d already been informed Ye Jinghe just wanted to trade for a breakthrough elixir.

“Uncle Jinghe.” These Qing Generation family members who came here to harvest Spirit Tea are also here to learn to discern Spirit Leaves and to harvest Spirit Medicine.

Once they’ve learned, they complete the harvest task along the way.

After all, there are still not many Ye Family members nowadays.

Ye Qingping is one of them.

At fourteen years old, he has Four Spirit Roots and is at the Qi Cultivation Second Layer; his talent isn’t great, but of course, if it were, he wouldn’t be here.

“Not bad, your technique is quite skillful. How long have you been picking Spirit Tea?” Ye Jinghe inquired.

“Thank you for the compliment, Uncle Jinghe. This is our second time here; we have picked once before. It feels like there are fewer leaves this time than last.” Ye Qingping replied somewhat cautiously, feeling that Ye Jinghe’s gaze was quite invasive, which made him uncomfortable within the Ye Family.

“Did you come in a Tier Two Spiritual Ship in mid-last month?”

“Just a Tier One Spiritual Ship.” Ye Qingping shook his head. He wished to sit in a Tier Two Spiritual Ship, but he knows that there aren’t many Foundation Establishment cultivators in the Ye Family, so how could he possibly harvest some Spirit Tea with a Tier Two Spiritual Ship?

He looked at Ye Jinghe in confusion.

He didn’t know why Ye Jinghe would ask such questions.

His face showed vigilance.

But he saw Ye Jinghe waving his hand, “Keep picking, earn more Spirit Stones, and cultivate faster, or else you’ll end up like your uncle, at the Qi Cultivation Fifth Layer, still needing to pick Spirit Tea for a breakthrough.”

After making this self-deprecating remark, Ye Jinghe walked off to the side to continue meticulously harvesting Spirit Tea.

And in the corner out of Ye Jingqing’s sight, Ye Jinghe secretly buried an array disc beneath a Spirit Tea Tree.

…

Far away, in a dense valley.

This valley was extremely dark due to the high mountains on both sides.

Coupled with the early spring rainy season, it turned the area into a place overrun by poisonous insects.

At the back of the valley was a huge cave, where several cultivators wearing Spirit-Blocking Robes were gathered around a table.

On the table was a Spirit Disc, its shape somewhat resembling the mountain body of Buqing Mountain.

“Can we trust this Ye Jinghe?” one of them still hesitated.

Even though they had figured out the array, the other side would cooperate from within.

Yet, the Ye Family members are famously stubborn.

Ye Jinghe’s defection still made them somewhat suspicious.

“A Foundation Establishment Pill isn’t something he can refuse. Besides, the main cultivators of the Ye Family are all on Lingyun Peak. The four of us in Foundation Establishment needn’t worry too much!” The leading cultivator’s voice was particularly muffled.

“What if the Spirit Stone Mine doesn’t exist?” The hesitating person spoke again.

In the past two years, they’ve already mastered the pattern of Ye Family’s Spiritual Ship, which is usually a Tier Two Spiritual Ship that comes every three months.

The next arrival is in five days.

If there is a Spirit Stone Mine, now is the best time to seize it for the greatest gain.

If not, there won’t be much risk.

“If there’s no Spirit Stone Mine, there’s still the Ye Family’s Spirit Medicine Garden!” The muffled voice spoke again.

“As for the current mission, it should not fail under any circumstances, so this time, anyone careless will have to deal with me unkindly!”

“We’ll act at the second watch of the night, when most cultivators are deep in cultivation!”

…

At the North Peak, there is a large courtyard that differs from the ordinary Ye Family courtyards, as it lay on flat ground.

This courtyard is directly embedded into the mountainside and is specially equipped with an Earth Fire Room.

Unlike Tier Two and above Alchemy Masters, who can refine Spirit Pills anywhere, most Artifact Refiners would work in an Earth Fire Room.

Refining high-tier Spiritual Artifacts can take five or six days easily, and many cultivators, even if they have their own Spirit Platform Spirit Fire, would still find an Earth Fire Room to ensure that if their spiritual energy is depleted, no issues arise.
