Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Purpose of This Journey

After welcoming the Purple Mansion Ascendant, the faces of the Ye Family cultivators turned grim, while those of the Li Family’s Li Mutian and Li Muhe showed great cheer.

They followed suit towards Mo’s Tavern.

“You all return to the shop first; your eldest uncle and I will head there!” Ye Xingliu spoke to the other members of the Ye Clan.

Then he took Ye Xinghe with him and walked away.

“Fourth Brother, why is that Li Family so happy? It just makes me angry to see!” Back at the Ye Family shop, Ye Jingyong had been simmering with rage, and couldn’t help but speak out at that moment.

“Taiyi Sect is divided into five peaks, namely Taiyi Sword Peak known for sword cultivation, Taiyi Dharma Peak for alchemy and artifact refining, Taiyi Martial Peak for body cultivation, Taiyi Illusion Peak for array formation, and Taiyi Purple Peak that hosts a True Monarch!”

“Our Ye Family is on good terms with Taiyi Illusion Peak, and our elder brother is also part of Taiyi Illusion Peak!”

“The two Purple Mansion Ascendants who arrived this time are from Taiyi Sword Edge and Taiyi Dharma Peak respectively!” Ye Jingyu explained with a frown.

Ye Jingcheng listened carefully; he did not know much about Taiyi Sect, but Ye Jingyu seemed to understand it very well.

At that moment, Ye Jingyong stopped speaking; although Ye Jingyu wasn’t explicitly saying it, he already understood.

It’s likely that the Li Family’s backing is Taiyi Dharma Peak.

After all, the Li Family also originated from alchemy.

The smug demeanor of the Li Family was indeed infuriating and also somewhat worrying.

Next, Ye Jingyong did not ask questions, but Ye Jingcheng inquired about several aspects of Taiyi Sect.

His Fourth Brother spoke candidly, with a tone that was still calm, imbued with a trace of stability similar to their Third Uncle Ye Xingliu.

He would say what he could and leave things unsaid if necessary.

From the morning hour until dusk, Ye Xingliu and Ye Xinghe returned from outside.

Ye Xinghe’s face showed less of a smile, though it was still present, but noticeably strained.

His eyes also carried a hint of exhaustion.

Ye Xingliu, on the contrary, showed no sign of anything amiss, and walked straight to the room at the back of the shop, where he had Ye Xinghong bring some spirit tea, and the elders drank and discussed the strategies for Ye Family’s operations during the clearance.

After they finished drinking, Ye Jingcheng finally learned that their attack on Jade Dragon Valley was a feigned attack strategy controlled by affiliated clans.

The sect’s cultivators would primarily assault the main valley entrance.

Meanwhile, the affiliated clans would enter through two secondary valley entrances, where Li Family, Ye Family, and Xu Family were grouped at one entrance.

It was apparent that the Li Family and Ye Family were nearly publicly opposed, and the Xu Family had previously tampered with the Ye Family in the Earth Fire Room, later exerting pressure on the Ye Family’s spirit beasts.

Relations weren’t favorable either.

Luckily, this time, the Xu Family did not send Purple Mansion cultivators, which was the sole comforting aspect for them.

…

The stars shone bright, and the moonlight illuminated the scene.

In the inner courtyard, the Ye Family’s Jing Generation and Xing Generation cultivators had almost all gathered, with Third Elder Ye Haiyi at the forefront, taking out a jade talisman.

As the jade talisman was activated with a spirit skill, it instantly projected a large map.

Within the map projection, one could clearly see a giant valley surrounded by mountains, filled with jungles and lakes.

Its range was vast and far beyond that of Ye Family’s Lingyun Peak.

“Jade Dragon Valley is the territory of the Purple Mansion Great Demon Jade-Scaled Snake. There should be two Purple Mansion Great Demons, which we don’t need to deal with, but there are many Tier One and Tier Two Spirit Beasts, primarily snakes and pythons, along with numerous Cyan Cloud Wolves!”

“The family’s advancement will rely mainly on detection-type spirit beasts, with the aim to seek spirit medicine and various resources, including spirit beast cubs.”

“Simultaneously, the vanguard will primarily consist of cannon fodder-type spirit beasts and loose cultivators; no one is allowed to act without orders…”

Ye Haiyi slowly explained.

Ye Jingcheng listened carefully; the family’s understanding of spirit beasts was unrivaled by other families, and their edge was apparent!

What satisfied him most was that the family was not focused on the attack but rather on finding spirit medicine and resources.

After all, even if they could claim the first achievement, they shouldn’t try to snatch it.

There’s still the Purple Mansion Clan above, but the Ye Family’s treasure-seeking capability isn’t something other families can match.

Prioritizing resources aligns more with the Ye Family’s needs.

“Moreover, if any changes occur, all family cultivators will disperse to escape to this designated point!” As midnight approached, a breeze blew, and Ye Haiyi stated the final point.

All plans must anticipate the worst scenario!

If the sect’s Purple Mansion can’t withstand or if demon beasts receive support from other Great Demons, the Ye Family naturally cannot resist stubbornly.

Ye Jingcheng also committed all the map details to memory; his other goal in heading to Jade Dragon Valley was to locate the advancing spirit medicine for the Golden Scale Beast.

The Red Flame Fox had already given him such a surprise, so Ye Jingcheng naturally hoped the Golden Scale Beast would similarly undergo significant bloodline purification.

With two spirit beasts that have Purple Mansion potential dragging him with the Beast Communication Pattern, the likelihood of Foundation Establishment before sixty is endless!

“Alright, everyone, get ready. This time, the sect will also issue some spirit talismans and magical artifacts, spirit pills!” Concluded Ye Haiyi, taking out spirit pills and spirit talismans for distribution.

Ye Jingcheng received three Qi Recovery Pills and two Qi Blood Pills, along with two Fireball Talismans and one Golden Bell Talisman!

None of them exceed Tier One High-Grade, which puzzled Ye Jingcheng somewhat; is the sect assembling so many Pill Masters for an ulterior motive?

Otherwise, no matter what, it wouldn’t be merely these items; he didn’t speculate that the family was hiding them away, as the family’s regard for its members wouldn’t skimp on such things.

He instead felt Taiyi Sect was using this clearance to openly prepare for later war allocations.

After storing away the spirit talismans and spirit pills, everyone returned to their rooms, and on this day, no one cultivated, but quietly refreshed themselves.

The next day, as a thread of purple sunlight beamed into the bamboo forest.

At the loose cultivator marketplace, a massive three-layered spiritual ship appeared once again, and all cultivators entered one by one, including the Ye Family.

Aboard the spiritual ship, the overwhelming sensation was even greater than viewed from below.

Ye Jingli was extremely excited, continually examining the ship, fascinated by every spiritual plate on board.

The huge spiritual ship was fully equipped, and the Ye Family was assigned five rooms, with Foundation Establishment cultivators able to reside on the second level.

However, this time, Ye Xingliu also stayed on the first level with the Ye Clan members.

Conversely, the patriarchs of the Li Family and Chu Family proceeded straight to the second level.

On the third layer, only two people resided, Luoyuan Ascendant and Qianhe Ascendant.

“Start!” With the morning hour past, and the midday hour arriving, Steward Ling, responsible for Taiyi Sect’s miscellaneous tasks, announced the start of the clearance activity.

With the spirit ship suddenly emitting countless spiritual lights, pulling out numerous rainbows across its surface, accompanied by a booming roar, the spiritual ship soared like an eagle into the sky!

Heading toward the Taihang Mountain Range, amidst the purple dawn!
