Chapter 218: Flashback (23 Years Ago)

– The Assassination of an Angel

Author’s POV

Morgan froze in place, feeling as if time had ground to a halt. This was not the delicate, reserved ”Violet” he had painted in his mind. This was another woman entirely, radiating a reckless boldness he hadn’t bargained for. Her breath teased his skin, and the heavy scent of her perfume trapped him.

While his mind screamed a warning at this sudden transformation, his heart hammered wildly under the spell of her eyes.

Meredith gave his shock no time to settle. She lunged forward, crashing her lips against his in a violent, feral kiss a kiss fueled by her hatred for Violet, her desire to incinerate her sister’s image, and her raw craving to possess this powerful man.

Morgan surrendered. His hands moved instinctively, coiling around her slender waist and pulling her flush against him, while his other hand buried itself in her hair, yanking her closer. The world outside ceased to exist; there was only the frantic thrum of their hearts and the ragged breath filling the silence of the opulent room.

He broke the kiss, gasping for air, and looked into eyes that shimmered with a strange, dark light. ”Violet...” he rasped, his voice thick with desire. ”You have no idea what you’re doing to me.”

Meredith flashed a hidden, diabolical smirk as her fingers toyed with the buttons of his white shirt. ”Oh, I know exactly what I’m doing, Morgan... I want to forget the world with you. I want to be yours alone tonight.”

Morgan’s resistance crumbled. He swept her up in his massive arms and carried her toward the bedroom. He laid her gently on the plush bed, looming over her as he studied a face that seemed more beautiful than ever.

He unbuttoned his shirt slowly, his eyes locked on hers, while Meredith watched the ripple of his muscles and his athletic build with a fascination she had never felt for Stewart.

Once his shirt was gone, he leaned down, trailing searing kisses across her neck and shoulders. Meredith felt a violent shiver race through her entire body as his rough hands met her skin. With a swift motion, Morgan stripped away her clothes until she lay completely naked before him.

Meredith moaned softly under the weight of his touch, feeling his hard, engorged dick pressing against her thigh, announcing a primal hunger that threatened to consume him.

She wasn’t afraid; she felt a rush of triumph. She was in the arms of the man who wanted Violet, and she was currently desecrating the purity of the image Morgan held so dear.

Morgan hoisted himself up, positioning himself between her legs. With a thunderous thrust of his hips, he buried his dick entirely inside the deepest point of her pussy.

Meredith let out a loud cry, a blend of sharp pain and electric pleasure, her nails digging into his broad back as she felt his sheer size tearing through all her defenses.

Morgan began to move inside her with a violent, untamed rhythm, like a beast finally broken from its chains. Meredith was no less desperate; she writhed beneath him, urging him for more of those deep thrusts that shook her core.

Morgan fucked her with an unprecedented intensity, whispering the name ”Violet” over and over, while Meredith laughed silently, knowing that tonight, she had stolen Violet’s entire life.

He dived into her with a violence born of long deprivation, while Meredith, beneath his weight, endured a seismic internal struggle. Each time his solid frame slammed against her, each time his dick sank deep into her vitals, she felt the walls of her hateful heart cracking.

She no longer saw Morgan’s gray eyes as a mere tool for revenge; she was drowning in their spell in a way that terrified her. Those eyes looked at her with pure adoration, and though she knew this love was meant for Violet, her body betrayed her, responding with every fiber of its being.

A sharp pang of conscience struck her not regret for what she was doing to Violet, but fear of the shocking truth: she was no longer acting. She truly craved him.

She moaned under him, not to tarnish ”Violet’s” image, but because every touch of his rough hand set her on fire. She found herself clinging to his back, her nails sinking into his hot skin as she begged for more, forgetting the fiancé rotting behind bars, forgetting her hatred for her sister.

Morgan was in another world. He fucked her with a wildness he hadn’t known he possessed, feeling that the ”Violet” in his arms tonight had an explosive feminine energy that made his dick throb to the point of madness. He drank from her lips and whispered words of love, unaware that he was watering the seeds of a forbidden passion in the heart of the wrong woman.

As the climax neared, Morgan increased the speed of his violent thrusts, his grip tightening on Meredith’s waist as she writhed in total abandon. In the height of the explosion, as he poured his hot cum deep inside her, Meredith closed her eyes, tears sliding down her cheeks.

She realized in that moment that she hadn’t just succeeded in tainting Violet’s reputation she had succeeded in breaking her own heart by falling for a man who saw another woman in her.

Silence filled the room, broken only by the sound of exhausted breathing returning to normal. Meredith lay across Morgan’s bare chest, surrendering to the warmth of his body and the solid beat of his heart.

Her fingers traced his hair, and in a moment of honesty she tried to stifle, she whispered in a soft, husky voice, ”I loved what we did... I truly loved it.”

Morgan tightened his hold on her, kissing the top of her head deeply. ”I didn’t just love the act,” he replied, his voice overflowing with emotion. ”I loved you, Violet.”

The word hit Meredith like a lightning bolt. Violet. That name was enough to shatter her rosy dream and drag her back to bitter reality. Her heart jolted; she realized that no matter what she did, no matter how she melted in his arms, he saw nothing but that ”perfect” girl.

She felt insulted to her very core as ”Meredith,” and her momentary love curdled into a black venom in her veins.

With a strange resolve, she pushed off his chest and pulled away. She began gathering her scattered clothes and dressing with startling speed, while Morgan watched from the bed, naked and bewildered.

She stood before him, fixing her hair, and looked at him with an icy stare. ”Pay me,” she said, the words cutting like blades.

Morgan froze, his brows knitting in confusion. ”What? What did you say?”

”I want the money,” Meredith replied, lifting her chin with wounded pride, her voice stripped of all its former tenderness. ”Did you really think I slept with you for free?”

Morgan’s eyes widened in violent shock. He sat up, feeling as if he’d been slapped across the face. ”What is wrong with you, Violet? Have you lost your mind? What are you talking about?”

Meredith sneered, driven by the malice that had returned to consume her. ”You said you liked me... well, since you like me, you have to pay for what you liked. Nothing in this world is free, especially with me.”

Morgan watched her, feeling the angelic image of Violet collapse into ruins. Meredith was succeeding brilliantly, killing ”Violet” in his heart with cold blood, turning a moment of genuine passion into a cheap transaction worthy of a woman who knew nothing of dignity.

He remained frozen, the walls of the room closing in on him. Her words were like whips, shredding every thread of affection. He looked at her with lost eyes, searching for the ”angel” he thought he knew, but found only a cold, materialistic, and provocative stare.

”Come on,” Meredith said, fixing her collar with indifference and glancing at an imaginary watch. ”I’m in a hurry. I have other people waiting.”
