Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”It was just three days ago, and she’s already been buried. Mommy, you have to tell the truth, you can’t lie!” Beitang Yao looked deeply at the First Madam and said in a low voice, ”I don’t want to blindly misunderstand Qian Qian anymore. I’ve hurt her so many times, so please, you must tell me what really happened.”

The First Madam’s eyes were filled with threads of sorrow as she stared blankly at Beitang Yao. ”This is the truth, what else do you want me to say? She drove a knife straight into Madam Rong’s heart and even stabbed me. With such a scheming, heavy-hearted woman, how can you still want to shield her?”

”Mommy, she’s the wife I’ve chosen for this lifetime. And she gave birth to three babies for me. She’s the babies’ mommy—she would never do something like that!” At this moment Beitang Yao also felt completely overwhelmed.

On one side was his mommy, on the other was the woman he was about to marry and bring home as his wife. Stuck in the middle, he didn’t know what to do.

”Even if she gave birth to your babies, I will never allow her to be their mommy, and I absolutely will not allow you to take such a vicious woman as your wife!” The First Madam suddenly shouted, ”I really never imagined she’d be this kind of woman. Last time she barged into the stone chamber, it was Madam Rong and me who delivered her child. If it hadn’t been for us back then, could she have given birth safely? A woman like this, who repays kindness with hatred—how is she worthy of you?”

Beitang Yao was rendered speechless, his throat tightening. Looking at the First Madam, whose emotions were clearly unstable, he had no idea what he should say.

Should he believe what his mommy said, or trust in Qian Qian’s character?

Just as Beitang Yao was at a loss for how to react, Beitang Huan also walked in.

She went up to the First Madam, eyes red, and asked, ”Auntie, is everything you said true? Was my mom really harmed by Qian Qian? Why would she do that? Why wouldn’t she even spare her own mother? Is she really that cruel and vicious?”

The First Madam looked at Beitang Huan’s swollen eyes; her gaze flickered, but she quickly nodded. ”You’re Huan, right? I’m sorry I didn’t protect your mother. What did you just say? You said Madam Rong is that woman’s mother?”

Beitang Huan was filled to the brim with grief. Hearing the First Madam’s question, she only gave a slight nod.

”What is going on? So she’s the daughter Madam Rong has been thinking about all these years? How could she be so heartless as to hurt her own mother? What kind of sin is this!” The First Madam put on a thoroughly astonished expression. ”Madam Rong did tell me she and her ex-husband had a daughter, and she thought day and night about reuniting with her. But who would’ve thought... in the end, she’d die at the hands of her own biological daughter... How can that child be so ruthless?”

Hearing this, Beitang Huan burst into another round of sobbing. She stepped forward and clung to the First Madam. ”Auntie, what did my mom say before she passed? Wuwu...”

The First Madam reached out and gently patted Beitang Huan’s back over and over. ”Child, don’t cry anymore. Your mom’s spirit in heaven wouldn’t want to see you like this.”

Beitang Huan cried for quite a while before finally stopping. Then she walked up to Beitang Yao, lifted her tear-reddened eyes to look at him, and after a long moment spoke. ”Brother Yao, none of us knows what really happened, but between Auntie’s words and Qian Qian’s explanation, please weigh them carefully and judge whose account is the truth. And please, give my mom justice. I don’t want her to die without the truth ever being known.”
