Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 302: Chapter 303: The Apricot Blooms Over the Wall

The three entered the restaurant, Bao Tinghao had originally wanted to sit next to Mu Shini, but was squeezed out of his spot by Shen Chengcheng, who unobtrusively put her hands on Mu Shini’s shoulders, ”Nian Nian, you sit here.”

Then she turned to the obviously frustrated Bao Tinghao standing behind them and said, ”Tinghao, you sit across from us! There’s no room for three people here!”

Bao Tinghao pursed his lips slightly, nodded, and said in a steady voice, ”Alright.”

After the three sat down and ordered food, Shen Chengcheng kept scrutinizing Bao Tinghao while they waited for the dishes.

”We didn’t really get to greet properly last time. I’m Shen Chengcheng, Nian Nian’s best friend. From my perspective, Tinghao, you are quite the catch—you drive limited edition luxury cars, so your family must be pretty well off. With all your fine qualities, you’re worthy of pursuing my Nian Nian.”

Upon hearing this, Mu Shini reached out her hand and pinched Shen Chengcheng’s thigh, glaring viciously at her: Are you trying to cause me more trouble? I already have a husband!

Shen Chengcheng raised an eyebrow and glared back at Mu Shini: Your husband lets you fool around, and you don’t take the chance to check out the good ones?

Bao Tinghao observed the little exchange between Shen Chengcheng and Mu Shini and chuckled softly, ”Thank you for your admiration, but I know Shini has a husband. It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to pursue her, right?”

In reality, Bao Tinghao also envied the closeness and familiarity between Shen Chengcheng and Mu Shini.

He envied even more how easily his uncle could switch identities and interact happily with Mu Shini, even to the point of kissing her, without Mu Shini feeling repulsed, only startled.

”Our Nian Nian’s husband is open-minded and lets her date other people. If I had feelings for Nian Nian, I would have pursued her long ago, and you wouldn’t even have a chance to appear,” Shen Chengcheng casually draped her arm around Mu Shini’s shoulders while raising an eyebrow at her, ”Nian Nian, isn’t that right?”

Right now, two uncle-nephew pairs are fighting over you, and you don’t even know!

Mu Shini’s face darkened as she pinched Shen Chengcheng again, ”You’re talking nonsense!”

This brat, why does she always bring up the most awkward topics?

After Bao Tinghao had confessed his feelings to her, Mu Shini had clearly rejected him, but Shen Chengcheng had to bring up these matters in front of Bao Tinghao... what was she thinking?

After warning Shen Chengcheng, Mu Shini composed herself and smiled at Bao Tinghao, ”Tinghao, I’m really sorry I couldn’t make it to the library today. I sincerely apologize, and this meal is on me!”

Upon hearing Mu Shini call him ”Tinghao classmate,” Bao Tinghao felt a twinge of disappointment, sensing a certain distance between them, and laughed softly, ”It’s alright, you had things to do. We can plan another time to go to the library.”

”But you can just call me Tinghao from now on.”

Mu Shini heard this and awkwardly stuck out her tongue, ”I’m used to calling you that, sorry. I’ll try to change it, Tinghao.”

While eating, Bao Tinghao kept urging Mu Shini to eat more.

Midway through the meal, Bao Tinghao got up to take a phone call, and as he answered, he deliberately glanced at Mu Shini.

The tall Shen Chengcheng caught a glimpse of the caller ID on Bao Tinghao’s phone—

Uncle.

While Bao Tinghao was on the phone, Shen Chengcheng leaned over to Mu Shini and whispered, ”Nian Nian, look at Tinghao, his eyes are full of you. He hasn’t even glanced at me properly; it’s like he wants to attach his gaze to you.

”Stop talking nonsense, or I’ll poke your eyes out with chopsticks!” Mu Shini grabbed her chopsticks and made a threatening gesture.

”By the way, do you know who’s calling Bao Tinghao? His uncle.” Shen Chengcheng said.

”You’re so nosy!” Mu Shini rolled her eyes at Shen Chengcheng.
