Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

Chapter 63: Chapter 61: Cold and Fierce

This guy...

Not honest at all!

Yin Qinghe’s peach blossom eyes immediately narrowed, and there was a subtle shift in the way she looked at Qin Yu.

Because the two were still in contact, she could clearly sense the changes happening in Qin Yu.

Not only had his breathing calmed, but the previously chaotic Qi Mechanism had also regained tranquility. Except for the coating of cold sweat, it was almost as if nothing had happened just moments ago.

This isn’t right.

How could something this bizarre happen?!

Don’t tell me, this guy is faking it?!

The more Yin Qinghe thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

”Whoosh!”

She stood up instantly, directly pushing the rebellious disciple who’d been using her little watermelons as a pillow off of her, letting him fall to the ground.

”Ouch!”

Qin Yu still hadn’t figured out the situation. He’d thought he was in paradise, until the next second when he suddenly dropped, falling to the floor. He even wanted to pretend for a bit longer.

But then he saw the beautiful Mistress had already put some space between them, her gaze cold as she looked at him.

[Yin Qinghe Romantic Point: 19 (Initial Acquaintance)]

”???”

Qin Yu was stunned.

It was hard enough to get her interested, so how did it all get reset?!

This won’t do.

I need to make up for it.

Qin Yu stood up. After his breakthrough in Spiritual Power, he felt completely refreshed, and could clearly sense the changes this upgrade brought.

It’s gotten stronger!

But first, he faced Yin Qinghe and said, ”Just now, your disciple made you worry, Mistress.”

The beautiful Mistress stayed silent, only looking at him.

The more she did that, the less confident Qin Yu felt.

If she’d scold him like before, or even glare at him, he’d actually feel more at ease.

This only meant—she was genuinely mad this time.

She’d been so worried a moment ago, she even provided Flame Point.

[Flame Point: 3]

Even though it was only a little, it was enough to show just how much this Mistress cared about him.

So he decided not to hide it anymore.

Qin Yu continued, ”Mistress, just now I had a breakthrough in my Spiritual Power...”

Heh!

But his explanation only made the beautiful Mistress snort dismissively.

[Yin Qinghe Romantic Point: 18 (Initial Acquaintance)]

Why does telling the truth still not work?!

”Mistress, your disciple speaks nothing but the truth!”

Qin Yu was just about to demonstrate, when he heard his beautiful Mistress say blandly, ”You broke through to Middle Tier two months ago, right?”

”Yes.”

Qin Yu thought for a moment—it was indeed what he’d said before, so he admitted it.

”In two months’ time, you broke through from Middle Tier to High Tier?!”

Yin Qinghe narrowed her eyes slightly, wearing a ”go on, keep making things up” look.

In all of Lin Xian City, cultivators whose Spiritual Power had reached the High Tier could be counted on one hand.

And every one of them was ancient in age!

Spiritual Power is the hardest thing to improve.

Even if you’re extremely talented, it still takes years and years of constant practice, experience, and insight.

There’s absolutely no way to achieve it overnight!

Two months—hell, even three—there’s just no way!

Even the geniuses of the Immortal Sect couldn’t do it.

No wonder the beautiful Mistress doesn’t believe it.

”Buzz!...”

Qin Yu didn’t explain further, just let his Spiritual Power surge out.

”Hmm?!”

Yin Qinghe had wanted to hear him squirm, but in the next instant, she froze, and the expression on her seductive face instantly changed.

From doubt, to confusion, to shock.

It all happened in less than a breath.

She herself possessed Middle Tier Spiritual Power and could instantly judge the strength of Qin Yu’s Spiritual Power.

”This... how is this possible?!”

Too stunned, Yin Qinghe’s mouth hung open, and her alluring peach blossom eyes were filled with disbelief.

It was High Tier for sure!

But, how could this be?!

She was totally certain that Qin Yu had only broken through to Middle Tier in the past few months.

No doubt about that.

Otherwise, why would he have stayed in the Outer City?

”Mistress, do you believe me now?”

Seeing her expression change, Qin Yu finally let out a sigh of relief.

”...”

Yin Qinghe didn’t want to believe it, but the fact was right in front of her—absolutely no question.

High Tier at entry level!

And so young too!

Not to mention, with a Top Grade Mortal Bone!

If this got out, even the City Lord himself might be alarmed.

How could those who’d targeted Danxin Herb Hall sleep at night?!

In the next moment, her face turned serious, and she warned sternly, ”This is a big deal. You mustn’t speak of it to anyone!”

Those people who couldn’t sleep would naturally go to any lengths to eliminate the reasons for their restlessness.

That’s the way this world works.

Even if the City Lord declared protection, it wouldn’t stop their secret moves.

”Mistress, don’t worry. Your disciple will never let any outsider know!” Qin Yu swore earnestly.

Yin Qinghe let out a long, light breath—the heavy stone in her heart finally dropping.

Fortunately, only she had seen this, and she was the only one who knew.

For some reason, delicate ripples quietly spread in the deepest part of her heart.

It was a feeling intricate and hard to define.

Like the drizzling spring rain gently brushing against her heart, with a slight, inexplicable shiver, making her want to say something but be unable to name it.

Wait.

Not let any outsiders know?!

Doesn’t that mean she’s become his... insider?!

The sudden thought made this beautiful Mistress’s face turn a little unnatural.

Only now did she notice Qin Yu’s gaze fixed upon her robe.

Her eyes dropped down.

That’s when Yin Qinghe noticed the strange state of her own clothes.

A few wrinkles were nothing, but Qin Yu had been sweating buckets earlier, and she’d been holding him in her arms—so now the fabric on her chest clung tightly, outlining the full curve of her little watermelons perfectly.

Almost without thinking, Yin Qinghe gave a soft scold, ”Still looking?!”

”Uh.”

Qin Yu coughed dryly, quickly shifting his gaze elsewhere.

Now that’s more like it!

He liked fierce and feisty Mistress much better than cold and distant.

But the Mistress from before wouldn’t have acted like this.

In the past, whatever happened, she would just gloss over it, even if he’d tugged at her robes...

She’d pretend nothing had happened.

Now, she scolds him—half reproach, half playful teasing.

Actually, it meant their relationship had gotten much closer—a bit of flirtatious bantering.

Maybe even Yin Qinghe herself didn’t realize it.

She had always tried to avoid anything ambiguous with Qin Yu, carefully restraining herself and stopping his advances.

Now...

She realized she didn’t hate being looked at by Qin Yu at all. In fact, seeing that he was besotted with her, deep inside she felt a thread of...

Pleasure?

Yin Qinghe, what are you doing?!

He’s your disciple!

And Li’Er’s man, no less.

How can you do something to betray Li’Er?!

”Go cultivate properly!”

Leaving those words, Yin Qinghe turned away and rushed out in a fluster.

Her clothes were wet—she needed to change.
