Huang Carrying Dishes 144: Chapter 140: Mr.

Huang Carrying Dishes “Yang Fan, are you here to hang out with friends?”

Encountering an old friend, Lin Tian couldn’t help feeling a bit delighted, smiling as he spoke.

Yang Fan could be said to have been his desk mate for five years, and back then, they were as close as brothers.

Lin Tian used to be somewhat timid, but he and Yang Fan both came from Phoenix Town, and at Bin City No.1 High School, Yang Fan took great care of him.

Back at No.1 High School, Yang Fan was also known to be fierce in fights, so very few people dared to bully Lin Tian.

However.

Later Lin Tian transferred to Bin City Meiling High School, and the two gradually lost contact and slowly drifted apart.

To run into each other at an internet café now was a pleasant surprise.

“Lin Tian, haha, it really is you!”

Once Yang Fan confirmed it was Lin Tian, he stood up and gave the latter a bear hug, then patted Lin Tian’s chest saying, “Kid, you’ve been at Meiling High School for so long and didn’t come to hang out with me!

By the way, how are things there?

Has anyone bullied you?

Tell your bro, I’ll teach him a lesson!”

“Don’t worry, I’ve been great!”

You could hear the deep concern in Yang Fan’s words, and Lin Tian was very grateful in his heart, shaking his head as he responded.

“Brother Fan, who is this?”

At that moment, a girl sitting next to Yang Fan at the booth lifted her head to glance at Lin Tian, then asked sweetly.

The girl was dressed in an extremely revealing tank top and tight jeans, her face heavily made up, her figure shapely and curvy.

She was young, but exuded charm from every pore.

In the booth, apart from Yang Fan and this girl, there were also two other couples sitting across from them, all around eighteen or nineteen years old, and judging by their affectionate behavior, they were clearly paired up.

“Haha, let me introduce you, this is Lin Tian, who used to be my desk mate for five years, a real brother!”

Yang Fan draped an arm around Lin Tian’s shoulder, introducing him to the few people in the booth, then he pointed to the girl next to him and said to Lin Tian, “This is my girlfriend, Little Love!”

But Little Love only glanced at Lin Tian, her face immediately showing a hint of disdain.

And Lin Tian also just looked at the girl for a moment, frowning, his expression indifferent.

“As for those two couples across there, they’re from No.2 High School, we met while out and about…”

Yang Fan, not noticing the change in Lin Tian’s expression, jokingly introduced the four people across from him.

Through Yang Fan’s introduction, Lin Tian also learned their names.

The bespectacled couple, the guy named Ye Feng and the girl named Xu Ling, the former seemingly genteel, but spoke cheerfully, calling Lin Tian ‘bro’ left and right, while his girlfriend Xu Ling spoke less, quietly and demure, but her beautiful eyes wandered over Lin Tian with curiosity.

The other two, the guy named Gao Ming, tall and burly with narrow eyes and a brutish look on his face; as for his girlfriend Shu Qing, decked out in designer clothes, oozing with luxury, she just glanced at Lin Tian and disdainfully turned her head away.

“Brother Fan, didn’t your family start a factory?

You should at least have assets worth tens of millions, why would you be friends with these kinds of people?”

Little Love cast a disdainful look at Lin Tian, then said to Yang Fan, “Look at him, wearing the café’s work jacket and holding a tray, hanging out with this poor loser, only going to get poorer!”

Gao Ming across from them took a heavy drag on his cigarette, not even giving Lin Tian a glance, flicking the ashes from his hand and said, “Brother Fan, calling him a brother, aren’t you lowering your standards too much?”

“Exactly, Yang Fan, you really have no taste!”

Shu Qing, arm in arm with Gao Ming, echoed in agreement.

Ye Feng and Xu Ling looked a bit embarrassed and fell silent.

“This…”

Yang Fan’s face showed a troubled expression, and he finally said to Lin Tian, “They’re just straightforward!

But Lin Tian, why have you come here to work?”

“No, I’m just helping out, they were short-handed, so I came to get some experience, I don’t work here!”

Lin Tian slightly shook his head at Yang Fan, and as for the disdain and sarcasm from the others, he just frowned a little, not really caring.

To argue with ants would be beneath him.

“Brother Fan, look at him, he’s obviously here to work, and he won’t even admit it!

Humph, a grown man, and he can’t even accept that!”

Little Love pointed directly at Lin Tian, mocking him to Yang Fan.

Across from them, Gao Ming and Shu Qing both sneered, shaking their heads.

Ye Feng and Xu Ling just frowned, not saying a word, but their impression of Lin Tian was greatly diminished.

If you come to work, then work.

What does it matter if others look down on you?

Since you’ve been caught, why not admit it boldly?

At this point, Yang Fan’s expression was also becoming a bit unnatural, as he said, “Lin Tian, if you’re in any kind of trouble, tell me; you don’t need to work in a place like this!”

“I’m really just here to help!

Forget it, let’s not talk about that.

What would you guys like to order?

I’ll order for you!”

In the end, Lin Tian had finished taking the orders for Yang Fan and the others.

As he was preparing to walk away, he couldn’t help but whisper to Yang Fan, “I don’t know whether you love this Little Love, but I still suggest you break up with her!”

Having said that, Lin Tian walked away.

Yang Fan’s face turned sour, and he shook his head and sighed in secret.

It seemed that after being apart for half a year, everything had changed!

The café was so busy tonight that Lin Tian, too, started working non-stop alongside Qian Xiaohui, not having a moment to spare to see to Yang Fan.

As Lin Tian was busy delivering coffee to a customer, his phone rang.

He thought it might be Xu Tangge or the other girl calling, but when he answered, it was Huang Juun’s voice.

“Mr.

Lin, are you busy right now?”

From the phone came Huang Juun’s cautious voice.

“Busy!”

Lin Tian held the phone with one hand and carried the tray with the other as he walked.

“Ah, Mr.

Lin, do you need help?

Chairman Zhou seems to have an urgent matter, and he first asked me to see if you’re available.

He wants to invite you over!”

Huang Juun hesitated before speaking.

“I’m not free now, not until after ten.

But if you’re free, come help me carry trays.

It’s a cyber café in University City, a coffee place.

That’s it for now, I’ll wait for you to come over!”

Lin Tian spoke decisively and then hung up the phone.

Since he had promised Qian Xiaohui he would help, he couldn’t leave the job unfinished.

As for whether Huang Juun would come, he didn’t really care; it was just a casual suggestion.

However, his casual suggestion caused Huang Juun, who was at a teahouse at that moment, to look rather bitter.

“What did Master Lin say?”

At the teahouse, a group of people sat in a circle, including Zhang Sihou and many other big shots.

Zhou Li was seated in the middle, and when he saw Huang Juun hang up the phone, he couldn’t help but ask.

Huang Juun displayed an awkward smile and said, “He…

he’s busy carrying trays at a coffee bar and he’s asked me to help!”

Carrying trays at a coffee bar?

Zhou Li, Zhang Sihou, and the others at the teahouse were all bewildered.

“It looks like the master wants to temper himself in the mortal world!”

Zhou Li raised his head, his face contemplative, then said to Huang Juun, “Go now, help Master Lin!

The reason I asked you to call him is because you are both young.

This is your chance to establish a good relationship.

Xiao Meng is busy with her cultivation; otherwise, she wouldn’t have asked you.

This is your responsibility—bring Master Lin here…

If you can’t bring Master Lin, then you can get lost yourself!”

“Yes, Chairman!”

After reluctantly accepting the order with a bitter smile, Huang Juun got into his luxury car and left the teahouse, but soon after, he came back down, dressed in clothes from a street stall, and directly went to the roadside to hail a taxi.

Half an hour later.

Huang Juun walked into the coffee bar.

“You actually came!

Great, we’re short-staffed!”

Seeing that Huang Juun had really come, Lin Tian was surprised, then said to Qian Xiaohui, “This is my friend Huang Juun; he’s come to help.

Go tell Supervisor Liang!”

“Brother Juun, my name is Qian Xiaohui; follow me!”

Qian Xiaohui greeted Huang Juun and prepared to take him inside.

But at that moment, Supervisor Liang happened to come out; seeing Huang Juun and Qian Xiaohui approaching, he immediately asked, “Did you find someone to help?”

“It was Lin Tian who called him.

Supervisor Liang, what do you think?”

Qian Xiaohui spoke with some apprehension.

“Fine, you follow Xiao Hui and be nimble!

If you do well, you can come whenever you’re free.

We’ll pay you by the hour…

now get going!”

Supervisor Liang was naturally pleased to have additional help; the more the coffee bar earned, the larger his year-end bonus would be, so without further ado, he waved his hand in annoyance and dismissed them.

Dammit, when had I ever been ordered around like this!

Huang Juun’s face tightened, but remembering that Lin Tian could do it, he had to bear with it.

Besides, this was an assignment given by the Chairman and he couldn’t afford to mess it up.

Afterward, he clumsily started to follow Qian Xiaohui, carrying trays, wiping tables, taking orders, and doing other various menial tasks.
