One-Eyed Monster

The Little Black Hands were currently dealing with two main points of disagreement.

The first disagreement lay in whether or not they should beat up these youngsters. Some of them argued that they should, as the teenagers had become unbearably annoying, while others believed it wasn’t worth it, given that these teenagers were not inherently wicked. Still, others were indifferent, figuring that these youngsters, by their prolonged presence in this world, had already helped them quite a bit…

Regardless of their longer-than-usual stay this time around, the Little Black Hands felt extremely uncomfortable, as if trapped by these youngsters.

Meanwhile, the second point of disagreement stemmed from the issue they were currently considering. This issue, though simple, had given rise to too many different opinions.

Their disagreement about what to do next centered on whether to continue with the original plan.

Some of them felt somewhat dispirited, as things weren’t going according to their plan. They figured that perhaps changing their course of action might produce better results.

Other Little Black Hands held a different opinion. They might feel helpless, but they could still see hope, feeling that the issue arose from a lack of patience…

However, there were those who opposed this faction. They also agreed with sticking to the original plan, but they refused to accept the possibility of failure. According to them, the recent twists and turns weren’t their fault. They blamed the teenagers for adding unnecessary complications…

They were discussing how the teenagers complicated simple matters, and then it dawned on them: they too had fallen into the trap, making what was originally simple far too complex. Wasn’t it enough to just keep playing the role of the unknown hands? Did they really need to discuss it like this? Completely unnecessary! It seemed those youngsters had genuinely stumped them, to have reduced them to such a state.

Let them walk their own path and think whatever convoluted thoughts they want; that’s their business. It doesn’t affect us continuing our plan, so how did we end up, by some strange twist of fate, retreating to discuss it all over again…? Then again, this discussion wasn’t entirely useless either! At the very least, it helped them grasp the reality of the situation, right?

At this moment, the Little Black Hands were brimming with excitement, their passion stirred up by Igor and his companions. Initially calm and worried, they were now bubbling over with enthusiasm.

They were curious to see how Igor and his pals would react when engulfed by fear. Would they stand out from others, or would they be just the same?

However, for now, they still needed to continue their discussion, as they felt that these youngsters were a little more peculiar than the others.

If maintaining the status quo was beneficial, they had full confidence in their ability to push these teenagers into fear… but only if they managed to maintain their current state for a considerable amount of time.

At this point, they felt they had ample time on their hands to outlast these youngsters.

Moreover, if they quietly continued to wait, it would be an ideal scenario…

The possibility of such a favorable outcome was brought about by these youngsters themselves.

In that sense, this could be seen as a magnificent gift from Igor and his friends to the Little Black Hands!

The more the Little Black Hands thought about it, the more they felt this was indeed the case. In fact, they were now at ease. They could sense things taking a turn for the better, feeling as if their adversaries were inadvertently laying a smoother path for them…

Since their opponents are so enthusiastic, we’ll be more than happy to accept…

The Little Black Hands almost wished they had time to thank these youngsters. Of course, this was an impossible task, but nonetheless, it was a peculiar feeling, having a small hint of reluctance towards someone they would potentially fight against.

Perhaps this is what the world calls cherishing a mutual sentiment.

The Little Black Hands had initially intended to discuss the situation, but it had now completely turned into a moment of reflection…

Why it turned out this way, nobody could clearly explain.

Regardless, the Little Black Hands had a rather good mindset; they believed that as long as these youngsters could offer them good options, they’d happily accept.

The Little Black Hands wished they could say one particular thing directly to these youngsters’ faces. They were pretty sure it would be a major blow to them.

Who doesn’t know how to rile people up? HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH…

The words the Little Black Hands wanted to say were, ”Oh, then I won’t be polite!”

Yes, that’s right, we’re not going to hold back anymore.

With this thought, the Little Black Hands felt much more relaxed, and this shift in mindset gave them a fresh perspective.

If these youngsters consistently enjoy complicating simple matters, then let them be. The most important thing in this world is to be happy, isn’t it? Everything else is just minor distractions. Since we can only step out for a little while, we should definitely enjoy carrying out our tasks…

After several rounds of discussion, the Little Black Hands had completely shed their prior negative emotions.

They felt that going along with the youngsters’ intentions might lead to unexpected outcomes.

How about we do it this way?

That’s not a bad idea. We can continue to weave the story according to what they’re thinking. Doesn’t familiarity breed even greater fear?

That being said, is there any point in carrying out a plan the opponent has already seen through?

The Little Black Hands started to hesitate again, feeling that this approach seemed a little risky.

Overall, they had at least reached a consensus, but the details still needed some fine-tuning.

Meanwhile, Kadi and Igor were puzzled. Had their opponents fled after being exposed?

It made no sense. We haven’t attacked them or anything, so why have these unseen opponents vanished for so long...?

Can beings of this level even be considered summoned monsters?

Igor and Kadi couldn’t figure it out.

”Why is it so hard to just have a fight?” Kadi scratched his head, finding it all quite bewildering.

Igor mused, ”Are they preparing some kind of ultimate move?”

”Who knows? Maybe the opponents are planning to gift us a surprise,” Kadi analyzed, completely clueless regarding their opponents’ intentions.

”Gift?” Igor didn’t understand Kadi’s words.

”Isn’t that the case?” Kadi elaborated. ”Look, as soon as you saw through their tactics, they took off. Isn’t it clear that they’re allowing you to escape their clutches? That should be considered a big gift.”

”Um…” Igor was momentarily stunned by Kadi’s twisted logic. However, he hadn’t yet come down from his triumphant high.

At least these guys gifted me the method of judging by intent; this really is a huge gift, Igor thought proudly. Well, then I won’t hold back!

Igor was inwardly overjoyed, happily accepting Kadi’s incredibly twisted reasoning.

Stan Sol, who was standing to the side, felt his heart sink. He never imagined that Igor and Kadi, being as carefree as they were, could also have such silly moments.

Sigh, these two... they’re hopeless! Stan Sol felt inwardly conflicted and couldn’t help but cover his face.
