My Talent Skill Mutated

BZZZZ—!

The device began to vibrate. In that instant, Chen Yu felt his very spirit tremble as a powerful wave of dizziness washed over him.

”Take a deep breath. Dizziness is normal.”

The middle-aged man’s voice reached his ears. Chen Yu closed his eyes and said nothing.

The dizziness came on quickly, but it didn’t last long. After about ten seconds, it was over.

”Young man, you can get down now.”

The middle-aged man’s voice sounded again, and Chen Yu slowly opened his eyes.

He then stepped off the device.

”Here, have some hot water to steady yourself.” The middle-aged man stepped forward, offering a cup with a smile.

Chen Yu took the cup and downed it in one gulp. He instantly felt much better.

Meanwhile, in another room, Instructor Wang and the old man in the Zhongshan suit stared at the information on the screen. Neither of them spoke.

”Special Class, Nine Stars! Sir, his ability is incredible!”

Instructor Wang exclaimed in shock, a look of delight spreading across his face.

A smile also appeared on the face of the old man in the Zhongshan suit.

”Come, let’s go meet him.”

The old man stood up and walked out of the room, with Instructor Wang following right behind him.

—

In the testing area, Chen Yu walked out of the room.

The symptoms of dizziness had completely vanished.

Still, he felt a little off. He rubbed his forehead, which made him feel much better.

”Chen Yu, how are you? Are you okay?”

Instructor Wang’s voice called out as he approached, his face full of concern.

Chen Yu looked at him and shook his head. ”I’m fine.”

”It’s normal to feel a little dizzy during the ability assessment. Don’t worry about it,” Instructor Wang said with a smile.

Chen Yu gave a faint smile and turned his gaze to the old man in the Zhongshan suit beside them.

”Come, let me make an introduction. This is the Vice Dean of our Jingzhou Academy, Dean Bai,” Instructor Wang announced.

”It’s an honor, Dean Bai,” Chen Yu said, greeting him politely.

’The Vice Dean of the Superpower Academy... he’s definitely a big shot.’

’His abilities and strength must be top-tier.’

”You’re a fine young man. You have a very bright future. Study hard at the academy, and you’ll go far,” Dean Bai said with a grin, patting him on the shoulder.

Chen Yu replied, ”I will do my best.”

”Your abilities are quite good. Your strongest S-rank ability is a Special Class ability. Although your other two are Common Class, if you focus on your Special Class, it won’t be long before you can catch up to your senior sister.”

Instructor Wang chimed in with a chuckle.

’Special Class, Common Class...’

Hearing Instructor Wang’s explanation, Chen Yu nodded.

He was, of course, aware of the different ability types.

There were four main categories.

Common Class, Natural Class, Spiritual Element, and Special Class!

These four categories covered almost every type of ability.

Among the four categories, there was no definitive hierarchy of strength.

Of course, the Common Class was perhaps a bit weaker.

The other three classes had greater potential for growth.

However, it all depended on the specific ability.

Some Common Class abilities were also extremely powerful.

They could even crush abilities from other classes.

”First, take him to get his identity registered, then get him settled into his living quarters,” Dean Bai said from the side.

Instructor Wang nodded and then led Chen Yu away.

’Special Class, Nine Stars... What a pleasant surprise.’ Watching Chen Yu’s departing figure, a slight smile touched Dean Bai’s lips.

—

Leaving the building, Chen Yu and Instructor Wang got into a vehicle and drove off.

Soon, Instructor Wang brought Chen Yu to the identity registration building.

The registration process was simple. After scanning his ID card information, Chen Yu quickly received a black student card.

This card served as proof of his status as a student of the Superpower Academy.

With this student card, he could pay for anything within the Superpower Academy.

Outside the academy, the student card was a form of identification. A student of the Superpower Academy could even mobilize local Mercenary Teams.

Police departments, government forces!

This was one of the special privileges of a Superpower Academy student.

Their status was transcendent.

The black card was the highest-tier student card. Besides offering discounts for on-campus purchases, it also granted greater authority outside.

Ordinary student cards were gold, while the black card signified the status of an Elite Student.

Once his student card was processed, Chen Yu’s Mercenary status would be automatically canceled.

From now on, he would receive a monthly scholarship from the Mercenary Association.

This money would continue until he officially graduated from the Superpower Academy.

The monthly scholarship was a considerable sum of money.

After his identity was processed, Chen Yu was driven to the dormitory area.

Towering buildings stood one after another.

This was the student dormitory complex.

However, it was not the living area for Elite Students.

This was just the dormitory area for ordinary students; Elite Students all had private rooms.

Although it wasn’t the villa-level treatment from outside, the living conditions here wouldn’t be too bad either.

After passing through the ordinary students’ dormitory area and driving for about ten-odd minutes, Chen Yu finally arrived at the Elite Student residential area.

Unlike the large dormitory buildings for ordinary students, the Elite Student residential area consisted of rows of individual houses.

They looked more like small townhouses.

A bath, a toilet, and even a private training chamber.

It was fully equipped.

Moreover, the Elite Student area was further divided by grade level.

The first through fourth years were all spaced some distance apart.

They were all students of the Superpower Academy, yet there was a significant difference in their treatment.

The treatment for Elite Students was top-tier.

The vehicle stopped. Instructor Wang led the way, and they soon arrived at the door of House 985 in the first-year Elite Student residential area.

He swiped his card to enter. Chen Yu opened the door to a room that was quite spacious, about seventy or eighty square meters.

For one person, it was more than enough.

Inside, the toiletries and daily necessities were all brand new and fully stocked.

He could move in directly.

”What do you think?”

”If you don’t like it, we can get you a different one,” Instructor Wang said, looking at Chen Yu.

”This is great. No need to change.”

Instructor Wang smiled slightly, then proceeded to explain the features of the room to Chen Yu.

Each room came with its own defense system.

It could be activated by swiping the card. Once the defense system was on, it couldn’t be breached even by artillery bombardment.

The safety factor was maxed out!

After finishing his explanation of the room, Instructor Wang looked at Chen Yu. ”Alright, you can settle in here. My job is done. Don’t wander off. Your specialized mentor will be here to see you soon, and they’ll get you set up.”

”Thank you for your hard work, Instructor Wang.”

Instructor Wang clapped him on the shoulder and laughed. ”Don’t mention it. We should get together sometime when we’re free.”

Chen Yu nodded lightly, and Instructor Wang then left.

Watching Instructor Wang leave, Chen Yu took a closer look around the room.

The house was divided into a living room, a study, a bedroom, and a washroom. The training chamber was a separate, detached room.

Sitting on the brand-new sofa, Chen Yu looked at the black card in his hand.

DING. Your bank account ending in 0985 has received a deposit of 40,000 on September 18th [Scholarship transfer from the Mercenary Association...]

Just as he was looking at the black card in his hand, Chen Yu’s Life Watch vibrated, and a notification popped up.

”Forty thousand!”

’That’s so much!’

Chen Yu’s eyelids twitched as he stared at the message.

’I just enrolled and got my ID, and the money’s already here. That’s incredibly fast!’

’A scholarship of 40,000 a month... that’s a bit more than he had imagined.’

An income of 40,000 a month would already put him in the high-income bracket on Ancestor Star.

’Four years... that means the scholarship alone would be 1,920,000. If I had a double S-rank ability, would that amount be doubled?’
