Our Family Has Fallen

Boudica knew she was outmatched and quickly swung her Axe Spear, trying to chop off that pig hand.

Meanwhile, Alhazred had also recovered from the shock of the previous scene and joined the fight.

His strength was far greater than it seemed. He lifted his hand, aimed the Skull Candleholder at the fat pig, and cast a Spell.

Under the driving of his Spiritual Essence, the skull’s eyes shone brightly as the candle flame suddenly flared with a cold hue.

Curse of Weakness!

The sinister, gloomy power attached itself to the fat pig and immediately took effect. Its sturdy muscles and tough pigskin uncontrollably weakened.

This action instantly caused the pig creature to show human-like horror; it seemed to feel its strength slipping away. For a ”beast” that lived by its strength, there was probably nothing more terrifying than this.

At the very moment the pig hand and the axe blade collided, Boudica sharply detected the change.

The Axe Spear in her hand swept upward, slicing into the pig’s belly. Previously, such a blow might have only broken the tough pigskin before losing its force. But now, it easily tore open a wound, the axe blade even slicing through thick fat and drawing blood.

”KILL! KILL! KILL!”

The bloodthirsty Boudica suddenly erupted with unprecedented ferocity, unleashing the anger from her previous beating...

Lance, witnessing this scene, put away his Great Shield, continued reloading his musket, and turned his attention back to Amanda.

Lance wouldn’t waste time on Pigmen he had previously fought. But when encountering these new Pigman assassins, he had to observe them to understand their abilities and weaknesses, which would help in future encounters.

At that moment, Lance saw the Pigman assassin fighting Amanda demonstrate an ability he had never seen before.

It didn’t have the thick skin and tough flesh of the Pigman Mobs, but beneath its short stature lay another kind of eerie talent.

After Amanda whipped it twice, it revealed its true skills. It moved with swift steps, its entire body seemingly enveloped in black mist as it slipped into the darkness, vanishing in the dim surroundings.

Stealth!

Lance was somewhat surprised, not expecting this Pigman assassin to have such a potent trick.

He immediately thrust his torch in that direction, trying to illuminate the creature.

Yet, the torchlight only revealed a blurry phantom, and he sensed its movements had quickened.

But Lance wasn’t as tense as when Boudica was injured; on the contrary, he watched Amanda with keen interest. It wasn’t that he was treating her differently. Since he had brought them along, he treated everyone equally.

Lance remained calm, noticing that Amanda’s gaze tracked the Pigman assassin perfectly; despite its swift steps, it couldn’t evade her. That was her specialty, after all; Amanda’s perception was formidable.

Facing the stealthed Pigman assassin’s attack, Amanda’s lips curled into a slight smile. Her right hand rose and instantly threw something. Lance didn’t see clearly what it was, but in almost the same instant, the Pigman assassin was forced out of stealth.

Before Lance’s eyes, the black mist, like Spiritual Essence, that had wreathed the creature rapidly dissipated, exposing its small form to the firelight.

The moment it reappeared, it tumbled from inertia, rolling twice before stopping. Only then did Lance see clearly that the Dart had torn open half the Pigman assassin’s face and was now lodged in its metal eyepatch. It was safe to say that if not for the metal eyepatch, that single strike might have killed it instantly.

Lance, with his keen inspiration, detected a trace of spiritual fluctuations on the Dart. No wonder it could force the Pigman assassin out of stealth and negate its ability.

Lance could have done the same, but bringing her along was indeed the right choice.

The battle was not yet over, but Amanda’s whip would soon provide the answer.

”SNAP!”

Another crack of the whip, another sound of tearing flesh. Its armor offered some slight protection, but other parts of its body were covered in bleeding lash marks. Its state could only be described as ”miserable.”

A continuous flurry of cracks followed, accompanied by the Pigman’s increasingly feeble squeals, until the unfortunate creature was finally whipped to death.

Only then did Amanda flick her whip. With a sharp tug, it coiled tightly in her grasp, controlled as effortlessly as if it were an extension of her own arm.

The strange thing was that there was no blood on the whip. Was it a weapon that killed without staining, or did the whip itself absorb blood?

Perhaps she truly enjoyed the whipping, as a delighted smile spread across her face. Her leg, clad in an over-the-knee boot, stretched out and stepped directly onto the Pigman’s head. Her lower body remained still as she bent forward, a movement like toppling mountains carving out an Abyss, making it hard for anyone to notice her retrieving the Windmill Blade from its head.

Whether it was the whip, her boot trampling the head, or the deep cleavage revealed as she bent over—a sight like an Abyss formed by toppling mountains—the scene would be too much for anyone with certain proclivities.

However, Lance found it regrettable that Hamlet lacked farm tools; otherwise, Amanda’s skill with the whip could greatly boost agricultural productivity.

Amanda seemed to notice Lance’s gaze. As she straightened up, her long, wavy hair cascaded behind her. She approached him with a sway in her hips.

”Specifically for breaking stealth?” Lance’s attention was on the Dart in her hand.

”Everyone has their methods for dealing with certain enemies. My Windmill Blade isn’t too bad, is it?~”

Amanda threaded her index finger through the ring at the center of the Dart, skillfully twirling it in her hand like a windmill—no wonder it was called the Windmill Blade.
