Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

How could Ding Yu have imagined that Qin Xin, though clearly refusing to go on stage, still had the registration number in her hand?

The ugly girl was truly too cunning.

She was furious and couldn’t help but raise her voice at Seventh Elder on the judge’s bench: ”Elder, please judge fairly, is it valid for Lan Qingxin to suddenly come out and want to compete halfway?”

Seventh Elder’s shadowy eyes fixated on Qin Xin, twinkled briefly, and he spoke: ”Since there’s a registration number, then come and compete.”

Ding Yu was stunned, not expecting Seventh Elder to agree so readily. Wasn’t this giving the ugly girl a chance to show off? And yet, clearly when she interacted with Seventh Elder, he never had a favorable impression of the ugly girl.

She couldn’t quite process it for a moment.

On the judge’s bench, Seventh Elder continued: ”Since it’s a competition, don’t hold back, display your skills fully. The first prize not only includes the 1 million scholarship but also the opportunity to become an official disciple of the Twelve Elders.”

Now it wasn’t just Ding Yu who was stunned; the audience collectively gasped.

Becoming a disciple of the Twelve Elders meant having access to 12 top empire magic mentors; this opportunity was tremendously attractive.

Ding Yu’s eyes also lit up a bit.

Previously, through bribery, she had influenced seven or eight strong senior sisters to deliberately lose to her, and had just defeated the dorm leader and others; now her accumulated points were leading far ahead.

As long as she eliminated the ugly girl, there were only a few left with registration numbers, making her almost certain to secure first place.

Unless...

Unless the ugly girl defeated her...and then went on to defeat all the subsequent challengers—how could that be possible?

If she had that kind of strength, why didn’t the ugly girl go on stage earlier?

Ding Yu clenched her palms, hastily extracting the ointment given by her husband from her clothes, applied it on her head, and tightened her grip on the Magic Artifact gifted by Seventh Elder, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Qin Xin.

Meanwhile, in the audience, the senior sisters who had lost to Ding Yu were furious for a moment, deeply regretting, and inwardly cursing Ding Yu as a schemer for buying away their precious opportunity to become disciples.

Some students who were merely spectators discussed quietly:

”Ding Yu is fire element, Lan Qingxin is plant element; fire can overpower plants, isn’t Lan Qingxin trying to smash eggs against a rock?”

”But just now, Lan Qingxin did block a fire attack.”

”That’s because Ding Yu was unprepared; now that Ding Yu is prepared, she may not succeed, right?”

”True, and Ding Yu, having been with Old Wang from the school hospital, seems to have acquired several treasures; haven’t you noticed her strength has increased again?”

”Yes, her talent wasn’t poor initially, with additional support she’s clearly stronger than us...”

”Lan Qingxin’s strength is a bit uncertain, when she’s strong she appears quite strong, but when her performance is poor, it’s really poor as well...”

For a moment, everyone was a bit unsure of the direction this competition would take.

The instructor’s order echoed.

The tournament continues!

The dorm leader, wiping tears, cheered for Qin Xin: ”Sister Xin will surely win! Sister Xin is mighty! Sister Xin, don’t hold back, X her ruthlessly!”

This impressive cheerleading stance made Ding Dou and others swallow back their words of encouragement quietly.

On stage.

As soon as the match started, Ding Yu immediately employed the same tactic as with the dorm leader, skipped the customary mutual salutes, and unleashed a fire attack!

Unfortunately, Qin Xin was not the naive, honest dorm leader.

She acted even a few seconds faster than Ding Yu.

A streak of green light flashed, and before the fire attack could be launched, it overwhelmed it with irresistible force, directly engulfing Ding Yu’s fireball, and even wrapped up Ding Yu herself in a wave of green light!
